    CPC Landscaping
CPC did an excellent job. The demolished (jackhammered) a portion of the old concrete staircase. Then, they formed the new stairs and poured and finished the new concrete steps. The new ones blended perfectly with the remaining stair landing. They returned and installed the new metal handrailing. Our new stairs are much safer now. CPC was courteous, capable, and professional throughout. They took the time to explain the elements of the work. They scheduled the work promptly and completed it expeditiously.

    Dustin Concrete
I loved working with Dustin. He went the extra mile to check with our city about what was allowed on our lot. He followed through on what he promised and did excellent work. He had vast knowledge of proper concrete pouring and a crew that was skilled as well. What he designed for our driveway/sidewalks was even better than I had imagined. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

We have a beautiful desert scape yard now. Our house is 53 years old. The Bermuda grass and palm trees are gone, the lousy brick planters have been removed, and the fragile and outdated irrigation system has been replaced with a modern drip system. This has been a great experience from the initial meeting, to the design process, and through the project execution. Norm was very passionate about the idea of a desert, low water landscape that also provided beauty and habitat for humming birds and butterflies. Laura, the landscape designer, met with us to discuss our goals and desires. The best part was once the plan was presented to us, we had some changes that we wanted to make and Laura was very open to amending the plan to have a yard that we were completely happy with. She made the changes with an open mind as to what we wanted as a final look and not what she thought we wanted. Then there is the crew that put the plan into reality. The cement contractor was very diligent and produced the desired hardscape that was on the plan and did it in a timely manor. Carlos was the project foreman and was very good at making sure we were getting what we wanted. Carlos and his men were very respectful and hard working. They showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. Of course once a project like this is undertaken some modifications to the plan must be made. Carlos consulted with us on each change that needed to happen and gave us options. Each time we were very happy with the amendment or adaptation. Sandra, the horticulturist, searched high and low for the specimens that we wanted. What a lovely peaceful landscape we have. A few problems occurred or were noticed after the project was completed and Carlos came out that very day to take care of them. Look, we spent enough money on this to buy a nice new automobile. Unlike an automobile this is a living breathing space and will only get more lovely, feature rich, and add value over time. I am very happy to have used Schilling Horticulture to perform our outdoor renovation.

    Design Too Concrete Construction
Paul Enger came to my house to give me an estimate on extending my backyard patio. He quoted me a price and said he would get me on the schedule to do it before Memorial Day (2018). We shook hands and he departed. After not hearing from him, I called four or five times leaving multiple voicemails including one where I flat out asked him on the voicemail to at least give me the common courtesy of calling me back to let me know if he could no longer schedule me in. He never responded, so I went with Dustin Concrete (they were great). Enger showed up to my house unannounced the day after Memorial Day asking when he could do the job. I told him I called him numerous times but since he never responded to my calls and voicemails, I had gone with another company. Enger even had the audacity to come up with a bullsh*t excuse about writing my number down incorrectly. Recommend never using this person.

On time, but things got really delayed by weather. So far, so good, but haven't really used the deck much yet. The yard got kind of torn up with the equipment that was used, but I guess that is to be expected. Will probably hire them again to come out and clean the area up.

    Cascade Valley Construction
This is a 12 year old home that has had a shower leak for a long time. A new type of sealer for the shower pan was used and didn't work. Being that water goes down, we didn't realize there was a problem. 12 years later we did! Insurance / Safeco was called and sent a claims manager to view damage. They didn't cover damage as it had been going on too long. Was given a list of folks to call. Their bids were all over the place. So I Checked on Angie's List. My wife started calling contractors and everyone was busy. We liked the reviews on Cascade Valley Construction, and so she called Thomas. To Busy! Well she kept calling him and offered to bake him a blackberry Pie. That was too much to resist and he came to our home. Thomas went under the house pulling insulation as he accessed the damage. It was bad. He took a video of the damage and we were shocked. All of the support beams and sills were rotten and that side of the house was sinking. Thomas asked a $1000.00 to start and tore into the Bathroom and part of the bedroom. We moved upstairs as the smell and black mold was bad. As I said He was very busy and took a month to get his crew in to repair damage. The out side wall had to be removed, the floor removed and sills and beams replaced. New flooring, Plywood treated, not OSB. second story had to be braced and leveled. New out side wall was built and siding put on. Belly board was something called white board and starting to rot. so Thomas used cement board as a replacement. Now the time had arrived to put inside walls up and a new shower. Thomas put the shower together correctly using a very thick shower pan and used cement board instead of plaster board that was used originally. He then put a red sealer on the floor and walls. Thomas smiled and said this time it won't leak, We now have a handicap accessible shower and a heated tile floor! Thomas was very good at explaining what he was doing step by step and his crew was great They were here to work when they said they would be and stuck with the job until our work was done We now know why He is so busy.

The work was fine; BUT they sent me to a collection agency after not receiving my check in the mail after TWO WORKING days! UNFREAKING believable! I received their invoice on the afternoon of Friday, 5/26, I wrote and mailed a check on Monday, 5/29. (Not even ONE working day after the work was done.) And it was Memorial Day and therefore; not a working day. On Wednesday, 5/31, they contacted a collection agency to come after me. After TWO working days of not receiving a check in the mail from me. UNREAL!!! I would never do business again with this company again unless I wanted my credit possibly ruined if they don't receive a check in snail mail (which they agreed to) within ONE working day! I am EXTREMELY angry about this. UNFREAKING believable!!!! I did look online at my checking account and it doesn't look like they have cashed my check yet; but then again, it has only had 4 working days to arrive (again via snail mail) and for them to cash it. I am still in shock. A collection agency after not receiving a check only TWO working days after the work was done. What a joke!

I was disapointed and had to haul in some rock to fill in spaces, replace the latches.  I asked him to use some leftover shingles I had but forgot that too.   Since he was a neighbor at the time I asked for a bid to replace windows in my home (his specialty at the time) his bid came back the highest of 3 so I did not hire him for that.  He was angry and rude after that.  I tried to talk to him about one other repair to my garage, but he said "you can't afford me".   I am glad he moved away from my neighborhood.

    Robbins & Co

They came out on Friday morning and got started.  My husband was home and was very impressed with their work.  It turned out to be a bit more than they had anticipated (the patio ended up being thick) and they had to come back on Tuesday morning to finish putting the brackets on and raise the patio back up to it's original height.  They left caution tape around the holes to make sure no one would fall or get hurt until they could return.

After lifting the patio, they caulked the crack that had fallen.  Many of the smaller cracks got pushed tightly together when the patio was raised back to it's original position. They cleaned everything up after they finished and swept off the patio for us.

It looks great and we feel relieved to know that it's stable and we don't have to worry about the roof sagging and pulling apart, the patio cracking further, or the water in the gutters running the wrong way.

We are very happy with the results, the work crew, the estimator, the office staff etc.  Everyone was very professional. The bill was exactly what the original estimate quoted.

Our large covered back patio was on a small incline for drainage. We wanted to install a hot tub on the patio but the hot tub required a level pad.
J & N was very responsive. Jim was punctual, professional and friendly when he arrived to provide an estimate. He suggested a good solution to our needs, wrote up the details, and an estimate arrived in our inbox the next morning.
We found the estimate to be reasonable and set a date for the work. Due to rains their schedule for the pour slipped a day but they kept us informed and showed up on the established Friday to do what work they could. They neatly cut out and remove the existing slab and set the forms. When that was done they hauled every last concrete chunk away and cleaned up the back patio perfectly.
On the following Monday they showed up on time and poured the slab. They sprinkled it with water and covered it with a tarp so it would cure slowly and not crack. Again, they cleaned up perfectly. The next day they came to remove the tarp and perform last day cleanup and we couldn't be happier with the result. The exposed aggregate finish is a perfect match for the existing patio and they worked well with the electricians to bring the power up through the slab in the appropriate slot.
We are very, very pleased with the work done and are happy to give them our highest recommendation.
