  • Very professional and personable. Not many local businesses in my area and the one I went to had poor customer service. Talking down to me because I'm not that computer-literate, being irritated that I wasted their time. They wanted me to buy a new computer without even looking at my laptop. This service was just what i wanted, respectful about my lower level of computer knowledge, great advice and the work performed made the laptop work better, faster and no issues, viruses or malware was found. Thank you!

  • Brady is fantastic. He knows every aspect of computers and can do absolutely ANYTHING. More than that, he is a teacher. If you are interested, he will help his customers learn about computers so that they understand the basics. Computer issues can drive a person mad - Brady is very professional and extremely patient. He will calmly walk you through the process and fix your issues. You can trust him.

  • It went very well. My computer-literacy is lacking, so it was helpful to have someone like Jacob do this work for me and help increase my level of knowledge. Jacob was efficient and explained what he was doing and some small issues he found. The whole process was easy and there is a distinct improvement now in how much faster my laptop connects to the internet and overall web-navigation. Jacob offered some advice about temporary files and how quickly they can build up. Overall, a pleasant experience and I learned a few things about how to maintain the "health" of my laptop.

  • I am the service manager of a Washington State computer store. I have been using ADR for years. They are always fast, courteous and understanding.

When my customers absolutely must have the information from a failed device there is no other company i contact. ADR has the best recovery rate and pricing that i have found in my 20 years in this business.

  • It went very poorly. They said they would back up all files and pictures before wiping computer and starting over, but that process was not done or failed, so we ended up with no files or pictures. The technician was very surprised when he discovered this, according to his notes in the work order and his phone call to us. Thus, we know it was not normal to lose all the files and pictures. Our phone call to the service manager went horribly. He lied to me for 30 minutes until I pointed out to him that his own service order indicated that the back-up started 2/2/16, and was not an automatic cloning on the day we brought it in, which was 1/28/16. This service manager exhibited horrible customer service skills, was rude and condescending and unwilling to do anything to correct the situation or make us whole. A call to the store owner has not even been responded to after 2 weeks of waiting.

  • When I called Bob to set an appt time, I asked if he would call me if he were running late.  He did do that (15min) and arrived when he said he would.

He has a very calm demeanor and was a wonderful teacher.

Also, if he didn't know the answer to any question I had, he would admit it.

Overall, he was an A+ Angie's list provider!

  • Garry was professional and quick!
I gave him the background and discussed the issues, and then he went to work.
I am thrilled with how easy this process was, and extremely happy with the outcome. He directed me to purchase the coupon through Angie's List, which saved me money.
The cost for this fix was beyond reasonable, at least $100 less than if I'd taken the computer to a big box store or even our local computer gurus. And he provides a 30 day guarantee.
I will definitely use this service in the future if I run into trouble again.

  • .I was receiving continual popups, unwanted windows advertising services and slow responses.
The day after I purchased the service a popup appeared that blocked access to my email.  I was unable to register an exception to get beyond the error message.
The technician as very professional, courteous and patient.  She walked me through the steps needed for her to access my computer (since I could not access my email, the link she sent could not be used).
She reviewed the applications installed on my computer and identified malware (very informative--had no idea some of the sites and applications were malware).  After the tutorial she explained what she would be doing to 'clean' my  computer.
She spent over four hours removing malware and ensuring the applications that I wanted/needed were working correctly.
I will definietly use the service on a regular basis to keep my applications up to date and to ensure there is no malware or viruses.

  • Craig the technician ran a battery of tests and kept the computer on overnight. Except for removal of some minor malware, the computer itself and Windows checked out all right. Craig suggested that the problem might be a faulty monitor or other piece of hardware hooked up in my system. I had my computer back home in 24 hours, and decided to purchase a new, bigger screen monitor. Bingo! Craig was right, the old monitor was the culprit and I no longer have the problem with shutdowns. I would definitely go back to The Other Guys to address computer issues in the future.

While I was in the shop, Craig mentioned that he is losing his lease on the downtown Olympia location and that The Other Guys will be relocating to a new location on Martin Way in June 2014.

  • He was able to access my computer even though we are over 1,000 miles apart. I was able to watch everything he did. He removed viruses and malware, yet preserved what I wanted to keep. It took a long time, but he stuck to his original estimate for charges. He was very pleasant to work with.
