  • It took several weeks to get appointment, and the technician called to say he was running too late to come.(I can understand that) I set up another appointment for the next day, which was confirmed by the automated system. No one came, no one called. 2 afternoons waiting ! I called again, and was told would be another 2 weeks before appointment!

  • Frankly I'll be calling HERITAGE for all of our appliance troubleshooting, and will be glad to recommend Greg to family and friends! He knows his stuff, returns calls, is up-front about his (understandably busy) schedule, super reasonable fees and no hint of looking to price gouge or add-on unnecessary charges.
    A nice plus was his ability to gauge potential diagnosis by just having me answer some questions as I stood in front of the fridge, i.e. noises, where some frost might be seen, etc.
    NOTE: He will ask for phonetic alphabet names (alpha, bravo, charlie)  when you give him make/model/serial numbers. Next time I'll be familiar enough with those to avoid the hilarity/embarrassment of my on-the-spot grab bag of words, lol.

  • First of all, the website and representation on Angie's List are somewhat misleading as I understood they offered same price service evening and weekends, but as I would have expected, not the case.  It's not spelled out but basically they charge $$$ more for evenings and Saturdays after 5pm plus Sundays.  
    Their coordinator, Debbie, taking calls on that Sunday, was helpful and informative, albeit not that knowledgable.  On the following Monday Mark called asking about more details I'd already shared with Debbie.  His first response was "Kohler, oh man, I wish I'd known that, we hate Kohler.  We specialize in?" but he came anyway.  He took a look and basically tried to push a complete new valve brand plus repiping, a major $2000 project.  He called the office and he and the boss said it would be hard to find the right parts to replace the yoke assembly and stem as it's such an old valve.  Have to call around town.
    Before joining Angies List and calling Apollo, I'd already taken the valve apart, changed out some seats and washers and bushing but upon turning water back on the water never would turn off.  And I'd already done my research online and was ready to order the exact parts I needed on Amazon (they had 4 of each).  A youtube video clearly showed what and how to fix this.  But the water was not turning off, so time to call in the pros just in case.  
    Back to Mark from Apollo, I paid him for his time and thanked him for the discussion.  He said he felt bad not actually repairing anything (I had him put caps on bath/shower until the parts came from Amazon) and they were ready to "move" on this for us.  However he did note I seemed to know my way around things as I'd already taken it apart once, but also attempted to turn that on me earlier trying to make me feel bad/guilty for the current predicament.  I guessed this was to guilt me into the $2K project but I immediately dismissed it and moved on to capping.  
    Apollo was helpful in helping me understand how it all worked a little better and confirm how I should proceed.  $125 for a couple of caps and advice, but in the end, I did get the parts ($50) and fixed myself.  Works great.

  • We bought our dishwasher at Lowe's and they were the contractor that Lowe's uses. I really like the people that came in and they did a good job. They actually worked as a team, rather than the lead sending the apprentice to do mundane things. I appreciated that on principle. I would use them again.

  • I called Terry on Sunday morning and he called back very quickly. He came within an hour and saw I needed a new hot water tank. He then went to the home improvement store and got the new tank and installed it for me. I appreciated that he came on such short notice, as well as it being a Sunday. He was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend him! Very pleased.

  • Ray arrived promply as scheduled and found the problem immediately. A piece of weed whacker plastic string had gone through the drum. We were given the senior discount. We would use Sno-King Appliance Service again without hesitation.

  • They came to the house and charged me $75 for comming over. They also charged $75 to do a repair that he did not even repair. When he was here he just replaced the fuse. I called him the next day and asked him to come out and actually fix it. When I called him he said he already fixed the problem. I kept telling him the main problem was not fixed and that I don't want to pay for him to come out again. He did not do anything the first time. When I called him I was telling him that it was not fixed and during this he hung up on me. It worked when he was there and the next day when I tried to dry some cloths my dryer did not work.

  • Our washer broke the Monday before Thanksgiving. Mr. Appliance was able to schedule an appointment for the Friday after the holiday. I was very pleased they were able to schedule the repair for the day after Thanksgiving, as I thought I'd have to wait until the following Monday. The repairman was scheduled to arrive at our house between 9 and 12 noon. He arrived at 11am, was professional, and quickly diagnosed and repaired our machine. He showed me the broken part and explained why it failed. He had the part I needed in his truck and installed it within 15 minutes after the diagnosis. When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that the visit would cost $89.00 not including any parts, so I was a bit surprised when the total came out to over $200.00. I'm not disappointed, as the repair was done quickly and the gentleman who did the repair was courteous and professional.
