Floor Cleaning reviews in Mill Creek

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They were a few hours late in which I was upset about as I was moving, but the work they did do was excellent! I didn't have to worry about anything. I had a group of ladies who worked very quickly. They had no problems communicating with me when I needed to move something for them or if I needed them to do something additional.

  • In trying to decide to replace or refinish our red oak hardwood floors in the kitchen and entry, we decided to refinish, especially after talking to these folks. They helped us appreciate the fine wood already in place that just needed the chance to look its best again.

We caught NW Premium Hardwood Floors (and others) during a busy time, so communications sometimes took a day or two, but Vasilly (project manager / owner?) was helpful and thorough in answering our questions.

Pricing seemed reasonable and a bit below other estimates, though price was not the deciding factor for my choice.

We were in the midst of locking-in a start date when Vasilly called late one evening to inform us they could start the next morning. Given we had to essentially move out for 4-days (we chose the smelly but durable Swedish coating), we had to scramble to be ready.

They arrived early the next morning, showed us options for stain color by sanding and staining small sections of actual floor (really helped see the actual result, which they just sanded off), and then got to work. Two brothers were hard-working machines. They seemed to really know their craft, had the right equipment and skills, and transformed the floor. The stain brought out the grain and the three coats of satin finish we chose helped diminish the polished look we had wanted to avoid. Put another way, they nailed the look we had hoped for; the result was excellent. Looking closely I could see a few small areas where the sanding arcs of a courser pass didn't quite get sanded out by the finer pass, but it's not noticeable unless on hands and knees. Otherwise, each coat seemed even and applied properly - nice work ... on the floor.

After moving back in, they had agreed to replace the oven and refrigerator (we didn't want to scratch the new floor), but they stood us up on two subsequent days they had promised. Giving up on them we bought fibreboard to protect the floor and did it ourselves. They didn't even call back until two days later - not great follow-up.

Observations/suggestions: We had done our homework and knew what to expect about the dust from sanding the floors (despite good plastic sheeting and vacuum sanding system) and the need to VACATE for a few days while the Swedish finish cured. Also, a few dings are expected as they remove and replace baseboard. They failed to provide ANY information on what to expect, so I could see some frustration by those who found a dusty and smelly home for a few days afterward, or a ding or chip from the process. A simple one-page FAQ sheet would go a long way to reducing surprises for those not digging into the details. Dropping the ball in getting the appliances back in-place was irritating, but the floor work is what mattered most, and I feel they did a nice job.

Would recommend for the quality of the flooring refinish. Not so much for follow-through.

  • John was responsive in setting up an appointment to determine the work to be done.  He provided an accurate estimate, and the work was completed as scheduled.  Most importantly, he did excellent work.  I would hire again.

  • I had a sunroom with a hot tub and a stone tile floor that was installed 2-3 years ago.  All the renovations to the space was completed last year.  The floor needed to be cleaned.  The floor was cleaned and 3 coats of sealer was put on the floor.

  • I responded to a special price on having hardwood floors cleaned and polished. I really wasn't expecting miracles because my hardwood floors are not in the best of condition. After rescheduling once, which wasn't really a problem, they arrived on time. The gentlemen who came were very polite and professional. After looking around, they suggested I would really need to have some sort of sealant applied which had additional cost. I would have considered doing that if there was a marked improvement following the cleaning, but I had not planned to pay anything additional over and above the promotional cost and made that clear up front.
After they left, I told my son, that I couldn't really see any difference between the floors after this treatment and after I cleaned them with a typical wood cleaner. Because my hardwood floor area is small, in the future I will simply clean it myself.

  • The team showed up on time, were very polite, and did a great job.  They respectfully attempted to upgrade the service to include polish, which I respectfully declined.  I'm sure it would have looked great - but it was $.75/sq ft ($240) and that wasn't in my budget.  They were understanding and did not push.  The job ran smoothly and they finished up by wiping down baseboards.  The floor looks great!

  • The communications to set up the job, date, and time went well.  I was told the that someone would be at the house betweeen 9 AM and noon.  At around 10:45 AM, I received a call from a man from First Class Carpet Service telling me that he was in Lynnwood (I live in Bothell), but that he had to stop by the office before coming to the house.  Nothing happened after that until 1:45 PM, when I received a call from a different man who told me he was leaving Sea-Tac to come to my house.  I told him it would take him about 40 minutes to get here.  When he arrived around 2:30 PM, he asked me if the estimator had come out to take the measurements and I said no.  He then commenced to take the measurements and prepare the area.  He explained what he was going to do and then went about doing it.  He was very professional and did an excellent job.  I was very pleased with the technician's work, but not so pleased with the way the company managed the schedule and failed to communicate with me.  To the extent that the technician was professional, the front office was not professional.  I probably will not use them again.

  • We were very happy with the service. There were some additional charges for stains, but those were explained and agreed upon before hand.

  • The provider arrived on time.  The provider first cleaned the tile and then put on coat of sealer down.
