Cabinet Making reviews in Mill Creek

  • Keystone Kitchens created a dream kitchen come true. Joe Cuzuzza was our project manager along with Josh. They were punctual, always left the job site clean and tidy, problem solved any issues that arose and were extremely respectful of our presence in the house while the work was being done. I can't say enough about the whole process. Chris was a genius at designing the kitchen and he and Susan provided support throughout the process. They were completely honest and professional from the start of the design, the demolition (a complete gut job), to the final beautiful outcome. I highly recommend them!

  • Excellent. Chris was awesome from the beginning, showing us all the options, never trying to pressure us and delivering on every expectation. Job from start to finish was managed and performed flawlessly and professionally by Chris and his foreman Jeff. Absolute pleasure from start to finish. Will recommend them to everyone and will use them again.

  • We hired Construction MD to repair damage from a flood. The bid came in with an estimated three week completion date. The work took over three months. We asked repeatedly for a new completion date and supply list, these were not provided. We got excuses and sometimes flat out lies. They do not follow thru with their subcontractors, letting issues go for weeks and only took action if we insisted. Many times the work had to be redone because it was subpar. Initially, we asked for bids on some upgrades, at our expense. These bids were two to three times over what we could find on our own with other licensed contractors. I do not recommend this company, please beware. We are hiring a someone else to fix outstanding problems.

  • Keystone has been great to work with for our project.  The designer, Dennis, made contact quickly and began to help provide the vision for our new kitchen -removing the 70s 'hide the kitchen' model completely.  Then the decision making began with colors, cabinet door types, granite, backsplash, skylight, garden window - oh my!  Once our demo day arrived we met our Master Builder Bill Bevan - who owned the project to completion.  Bill has been fabulous to work with and shared his expertise in ways that made sense to us.  While we were still making decisions on materials like granite, backsplash, garden window, skylight size, cabinet handles, etc., he was there to help us through the process -and still is today should we experience any hiccups with anything, thanks to the awesome warranty Keystone provides.  The greatest part of using Keystone for our kitchen is little to no sub-contractor use - you only have Keystone employees in your house - and they happen to make their own cabinets locally.  We expected to pay a bit higher price for the quality, continually communications, and lack of multiple sub-contractor use, well worth it in the end when they turned our new kitchen over to us in just shy of 7-weeks!  Thank you Bill, Chris and the team at Keystone for our great kitchen -we look forward to enjoying it for quite some time!

  • Each and every person we dealt with at Keystone was great. Every employee was professional, honest and competent.
The actual installation was done by Robert, and we could not have been happier him AND the quality of his work - it was craftsmanship. He was fast and his work product was meticulous.  He was punctual, fastidious when inside our house, cleaned up completely every day after he was done, and communicated clearly with us. If we had a question, he was able to answer it.  I truly looked forward to his daily arrival during the several weeks it took to complete the job.
The finished kitchen is stunning. Thanks, Keystone, you did a great job!

  • Furniture by Foss was extremely helpful in helping me find a craftsman that would do the job, even though it meant they didn't get my business.  Because their furniture saws were different than the type a miller uses to saw whole logs, they suggested a miller who could do the cutting job for less than they could do it with their saw.  Even though I didn't actually give them my business, I would go to them in the future for furniture projects.  They were helpful, honest, and kind, and their mission was to help people with their furniture projects, even when that meant giving the work to another craftsman if it would be a better deal for the customer.

  • My bathroom is very small and only 59 inches wide. The cabinet that was in there was too short and too wide. I couldn't even open one of the cabinets because it hit the toilet. It was ugly, useless for any kind of storage and took up a huge amount of space in so small a bathroom. My cabinet request was tricky because I wanted it 18" wide to get some space in that teeny tiny bathroom. Dave came to my home, measured and discussed what I wanted. I wanted a very small cabinet in the middle and very wide deep drawers on the sides. I wanted it to be kitchen height. The result was a beautiful cabinet that really finished the bathroom look. They even custom cut the toe kick for me so I didn't have to put an ugly vent register there. His installation team was on time AND left the area clean. The cabinet doors are soft close. Other bids for this cabinet came in closer to three thousand dollars. I wish I could add pictures to show how beautiful this turned out.

  • We have never had any remodeling done so this was a new experience.  Our house is only 13 years old and it hasn?t needed a lot of changes or updating.  But we knew we wanted a better kitchen, so we started our remodel project by meeting several companies and designers.  Bids were all over the map and they were hard to compare, as it was challenging to figure out what was included in each estimate and what would cost extra.

But Dennis Delaney of Delaney Kitchen and Design / Keystone Kitchens stood out as he really listened to what we had to say.  We immediately recognized the value of his design suggestions and guidance, and his level of expertise and experience was impressive.  It did not take long for him to earn our trust, and unlike some of the other bids and designers, we felt comfortable spending money with him and who he represented.  Dennis drew up plans and came over a few different times to work on changes, and he spent so much time with us that when we had a final draft, we were certain we made all the right choices.

Once we decided to move forward, Keystone Kitchens owner Chris, sent over our project lead and engineer, Mike.  He was another member of this team who really listened to what we had to say.  He offered his suggestions and guidance from a construction and logistical angle, and he quickly gained our trust and respect.  Mike?s knowledge and understanding of what Keystone Kitchens could do, matched with we wanted and expected with our remodel plans, was most impressive.  (He even told us to make extra freezable portions of meals before the remodel so we could have microwavable food when we had no kitchen!)

Mike paired us with our Keystone Kitchens primary installer, Lee.  The first couple days we woke up early, showered and got dressed, and secured the dogs before he arrived.  (Before we signed on with Keystone Kitchens we called several of their references, and everyone answered questions about my main concern - that their staff was trustworthy, reliable, competent, and took pride in their work like craftsmen.)  By the end of the first week, we (and our dogs) trusted Lee like was a family friend.  Lee was such a diligent worker with knowledge, experience, and integrity, and giving him key/access to the house caused us no stress.

Mike and Lee had a schedule showing what they planned to have done on a daily basis for the entire eight week project.  Lee showed up on time every day (he would let us know if he would be arriving outside the normal 7:00 ? 8:00 window) and he cleaned up at the end of every day, constantly sweeping and vacuuming during the demolition process.  He hung plastic to contain dust, and taped down floor protection to protect the hardwood floors.  On Friday afternoons he would even tidy up his tools and other supplies as he knew we would be taking pictures of the progress during the weekends.

Lee gave us his emergency contact information but we never needed it. (He assured us that if something were leaking or anything seemed urgent, we could contact him.)  This really helped us understand his dedication to our project.  We saw how he had a greater attention to detail than even us, and he fixed and adjusted things we wouldn?t have noticed or cared about.  Originally worried about having strangers in the house, when it was over it was refreshing that Lee from Keystone Kitchens was the kind of guy we?d have a beer with on a Friday after work.  The kind of guy you?d have over on the weekend helping you with a home improvement or repair project.

All of the contractors who came over to supplement Lee?s work (electrician, drywaller, HVAC/duct workers, and granite installers) were people Mike and Lee knew, as they all work closely with Keystone Kitchens.  Everyone was as friendly and trustworthy as Lee.  If we had to run errands while they were working, there was no stress having them in the house while we were away.  They also helped us coordinate our hardwood floor refinishing and adjusted their schedule to accommodate the floor contractors.  When we had to be out of the house, Lee stopped by to check on the floor progress and made sure the house was secure at night.

When the remodel was done we ended up with something that looks like it should be in a kitchen magazine! Thank you Dennis, Chris, Mike, and Lee!

  • Eric (the owner) has an amazing variety of skills.  A few of

the more challenging projects include:  installed large cast stone

fireplace hearth and mantel; demolished existing carpeted staircase and

replaced it with oak; installed new custom kitchen cabinets including crown

molding, lots of trim details, and commercial style range hood; installed

floor-to-ceiling travertine marble backsplash in kitchen; installed more than a

thousand linear feet of baseboard, crown, and window trim molding; plus many

other smaller jobs too numerous to list.  Even though Eric did a majority

of the work himself, we needed plumbing, electrical, and flooring

subcontractors, which Eric managed professionally.  He was our advocate

and made sure we were satisfied with their work.  Eric was fun to work

with and very accommodating with schedule and change requests.  He gave a

lot of good advice, which was welcome since this was our first remodel project.

  • David did a superb job. The finished product was exactly what we had agreed to. We had done the basic design work (sizes, features, color), but relied on David for finishing details such as hardware and a few design points we hadn't considered. David had posted some progress pictures on his Facebook page, so we could follow the build as it happened.  The end product is excellent - matches our existing wood perfectly, is very solidly built, and met our needs perfectly. As might be expected, custom work is not inexpensive, but we felt that we got excellent value. I'd use David again for any similar project.
