  • I love Fisher Volvo. They always inspect everything, they have a whole list.

    I've had a Volvo for about 10 years and then I sold it and bought a new one. But, it was because of them that I had to sell it. I took it in for an oil change and they left the cap off my water thing and it blew up and almost caught on fire. They did admit guilt and they have been very good to me. But it could have been catastrophic. That was about 5 years ago.

  • There wasn't a cost for that service. It was a warranty service. They always seem very busy but they are still very good to their customers. I don't have anything bad to say. I just know that they are always busy and they always seem very rushed. They are very professional, I would give them an A.

  • Very detailed and informative. Gave an honest representation of the car, the good and the bad so we can make an educated decision on buying. Had recommendations for repairs if we chose to buy, and other sources to check for other good used car options should we chose to pass on this one. Will definitely use their services in the future.

  • In a nutshell, this place is fantastic.  There are a couple of minor improvements I'd make, but I feel that their quality of work and opinions exceed that of the VW dealership I also use (Dick Hannah VW.)  Two minor complaints:  first, they don't always keep you up to date about the status of your car.  I'd be happy with a quick text every 3-4 hours, even if it just said "on schedule," but at the very least, I should get a call before I figure I need to call them to ask how it's going.  Also, for the alternator replacement, I ended up paying about 15% more than the dealership estimate...not sure how that came about, as they're usually comparable, but most of the time a bit less.
    Even with that, however, I'd have my clutch/flywheel replaced, and it was done right, first time, without problems, and for over $1000 less than the dealership quoted (dual mass vs. standard, but I don't mind a little more vibrations.)  Standard maintenance services are less expensive and better than the dealer.  While the dealer claims some world-class multi-point inspection, they've never come forward like Hillside has to point out what's wrong, what it means, what happens if I don't get it fixed right now, and...something along the lines of "We can do it for you today, but you're due for XYZ service next time you're in, and since we'll already be in there, it'll be cheaper...and it's not going to do anything bad to your engine to leave it as-is for now."  (I *think* that was with a belt tensionor, but I'm not positive...and did have it replaced with a follow-up appointment.)
    So...if you're looking for honesty, reasonable prices (almost always cheaper than dealer), and high quality work (at or above the dealer), I wouldn't hesitate to take my car(s) here.  In fact, after the first good experience, I now take the wife's VW in, too...  All that, despite having several other places that are a lot closer to me - I'm north of Vancouver, WA.

  • Typical old school car dealership. sales rep passes you off to the and quot;sales managerand quot; who then passes you off to the and quot;director of whateverand quot;. They play lots of games and will try just about any BS scheme to sell a car. and quot;Put your price in this box and ill see what we can do.and quot; Don't waste your time with Dick Hannah until they change their sales strategy. Go somewhere easier and more targeted to the customer like Wilsonville or Broadway.

  • I had originally talked to Safelite, who would only come out if the weather was good since I did not have a carport to put it in. Lightning said the weather didn't matter since they could put up a tent if needed and was out the very next business day. Very friendly, professional and considerable cheaper than Safelite.

  • I thought my car was going to die.  It was shaking and just running so poorly I thought i might have to get it towed.  I stopped in to see if they could take a look at it at Metro.  Mark (the owner) hooked it up, diagnosed it and made a call to get the part.  Jenny (his wife) took us down the way so my girls and I could get a pedicure done while we waited for the part.  #1 customer service and honesty.  Those are two difficult things to find when you look at mechanics.  Thank you Metro!!! I won't take my car anywhere else!!!

  • Chad and Mike were very professional, friendly and showed me what they did before and after the vent cleaning.  The debris they took out of the vents was disgusting and I will be using them once a year to clean my dryer vent.  The cost of the service was very reasonable, thank you.

  • I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Below are excerpts from that complaint.

    "Cascade Vehicle Shipping set up a trucking company to ship my car to Pittsburgh for a fee of $245 less a $30 rebate if I submitted a review of their service on The trucking company used my car without authorization during the transport and put an additional 150 miles on the odometer. When I reported the misuse to Cascade, they told me a manager would contact me. That never happened. They also told me they expected me to give them a 5 star rating on!  Upon completing the review, I was to receive the $30 rebate. I did a review of Cascade on which was posted, but did not rate them favorably. I received an email from telling me that my review was pulled because Cascade had no record of my invoice/transaction. (the review included the invoice number) 

    Since Cascade is denying the existence of invoice 6369178 for $245, and by doing so, has denied my right of free speech, I feel that I should not have to pay for an invoice that does not exist. Since Cascade has already received payment for this non-existent invoice, I am requesting a full refund of $245."

    Cascade's response was that they performed the service by placing my vehicle on a truck.  Further, their reason for removing my review on was that my review did not address their service, but rather the entire experience.  Here is the final statement from the complaint:

    "As Cascade has stated, they had a responsibility to locate an ''appropriate carrier ''. That they failed to do in my case. To repeat, the carrier driver that was assigned to me by Cascade used my vehicle without my authorization putting 150 miles on my car during the time of transport. As a result, I have had to file a police report and an additional complaint with the Pennsylvania Better Business Bureau to cover myself in case my vehicle was used in an illegal activity. Cascade needs to take responsibility for their failure to provide an ''appropriate'' carrier.

    Cascade's removal of my review from was inappropriate and unethical. My review was completed within the 30 period. Cascade then reported to that they had no record of my invoice and had my review removed. Further, reviews on from people who used brokers like Cascade cited their experiences with the carrier company as the major part of their review. The assignment of the carrier and the subsequent resulting transport are connected. The point of using a broker to assign a carrier is to avoid the kind of experience I had. I might as well have found a carrier in the phone book. Cascade failed to place my vehicle on a reliable carrier and should be held responsible for their error of judgment. And their underhanded removal of my review on leads one to wonder how often they have treated other dissatisfied customers in the same manner and whether the reviews on can be trusted."

  • They do everything very well. I like using them more than a competitor because they will show you all the oil that they're checking. You can verify their work. They will show you the old and new oil and air filters, so you can actually see the difference.
