    T&N Quality Bldg and Remodeling
Mark Rice (owner) and his crew built us a beautiful roof over our patio. The roof looks like it was originally part of the house and not an addition. It is **** for stout. Mark was on site most days. Otherwise, he always answered the phone and responded quickly to texts. Every day the crew left a very safe and clean work space. Everyone was professional, polite, and friendly. The cost for the roof was $19,200. Additional costs for the architect, drawings, permits, painting, and gutter screens were $8,797. I was disappointed that the whole process took six months. Delays were due to getting the permit, trusses were not available, and scheduling conflicts. Once the ducks were in a row, it took two weeks to complete. In the end, we are very happy with our new roof.

AWESOME!! Jeremias Called us back within minutes of signing in on Angie's List.. Came same day to bid the work we needed completed. Started work 3 days later. We needed a variety of work done. Outside wood repair and painting, repaired rotted out wood round outside doors, cleared clogged pipes, replaced outdated fire detectors, leveled the closet doors to slide properly and repaired leaky hose bibs. And Jeremias did it all !! Excellent workmanship, personable and wants to keep busy. If you are in need of a Handyman big or small projects - Jeremias is the person to call.

    DC2 LLC
This company should get a negative 10 and that would be too nice. I hired them because they were recommended by a highly regarded designer to work on a kitchen reno. I should have worried when he Edgar went behind the designers back to talk to us. I thought it was because he understood our urgency but now I know that was not it, they are very unscrupulous. We didn't use that designer only because I didn't care for the design for my home. We did go with DC2 as their timeline fit with ours. Well after two days that was it! Day one - After $5000 check, wall and cabinets taken out with a vengeance. I do mean with a vengeance too. Cabinets I had asked to be saved were destroyed so we could not use for the intended purpose. Partial walls, nails and exposed live wires were everywhere at the end of the day. Floor protection or dust barriers were not used until I put them up. Long nail were left sticking up and out so anyone people or pets could get badly hurt. Power went our for a bit in areas of the home. I had to go up with my own tools (they were not equipped nor did they have the knowledge) to test the dangling live wires. When they came back from lunch I informed them and another guy shows up, also with no tools and asking to use mine, starts randomly piecing together wires to see if they worked to restore! (I kept my finger on 911). I am also told that to make the kitchen and the rest of the house ceiling match that the popcorn could not be removed that all the drywall would have to be replaced and therefore the loose insulation above would also. (total lie!!) Day two finish taking down a half wall that they left hanging (with no hi-vis tape or warning and as I walked around the nails I severely hit my head and had a black and blue face for a week). The first 3 workers tell me that a wall cannot be totally removed because it is load bearing...(after most is removed mind you) I balked at this, then I get Edgar and three other big guys over and without even looking in the attic until I suggest do they try to tell me I need a beam or a column and try to show me a picture of an unrelated piece of the attic. Well being an engineer I asked them if they even knew the name of the truss (huh NO), well it is an engineered fink truss and is NOT load bearing...get out of my house. After informing them their services are no longer required (and oh real licensed electrician found they had yanked wired so hard they were arching! and could have burned my house down), Edgar had the nerve to try to cash more checks. I tried several times to reason with Edgar and talk to an owner to remediate and get some funds returned. (Edgar will never admit he is listed as partner) This slick character tried to turn it around and call racist...really dude? Since this work and another lady got defrauded by Edgar the City of Kent inspector informed me that this company is no longer allowed to work within the city of Kent which says how bad the company is. There are several lawsuits filed do your research people with Lni and cities! Oh and address listed is an empty building, process server had to hunt down.

    Trinity Construction Services LLC
Chris was prompt and courteous at all phases and steps of the remodel. In fact, he came to the rescue for us at a moments notice (previous contractor bailed before beginning any work) and even called me immediately at his own daughters wedding. THAT is amazing customer service folks!

    Mehl Homes Inc
I highly recommend Mehl Homes and Ethan in particular.  The work quality was high and the project was completed very close to the original estimates for cost and time. Ethan was always communicative and responsive. We found him to always be available by phone or email.  He kept the project moving along well.
The final quality of the work was top-notch. Our goal was to raise the Den/Office to the same level as the rest of the house and Ethan was able to do this and make it look as if it had always been that way.  The match on new solid oak floor to the rest of the house was perfect.  There were only two flaws in the final result that varied from our original plan: The heating vents for the new room needed to be run above (due to floor height) and the due to prior remodels the ceiling ended up a little bit lower in the new room than in the rest of the house.
Ethan was very flexible and willing to make minor adjustments to our original plan and added in a number of extras without increasing final cost, including (for example) solid wood doors, some minor water heater plumbing, multiple colors of paint when the estimate had been for a single color, and some attic vents that were city-required at final inspection.
Another example was that he was quite open to us contracting out the purchase and installation of new windows for the rooms to a third party ourselves. He and his subs were able to work with the other company and when the time came, the windows went in flawlessly.
There were a couple items that did end up costing us a little extra.
    - Ethan's electrician found that our ancient house wiring was largely original (1958) and the breaker box was a mess and let us know.  Again Ethan was willing to work with this and arrange schedules and work to accommodate us getting some of that fixed separately.
    - We were also unable to find a laminate floor style (for the utility room) from his supplier that we liked, so we purchased that ourselves and he was able to re-credit the difference in cost to us.
I also would like to mention that the subs Mehl Homes used on our project are good, dependable experienced local people who do excellent work.
Again, I do not hesitate to recommend Mehl Homes for remodeling.

    Ajag General Contractors
As soon as the seller gave his okay, AJAg had 5 workers on the job.  My husband stopped by the house to meet Mr. Silvers and just to watch the roof go on our new home and the workers couldn't have been friendlier (without interrupting their work)!  The job was finished in a day and a half and the plywood sheeting was definitely needed (the seller had questioned the need, but Mr. Silvers did not let our interest be sidelined).  The guys cleaned up every speck of debris.  My husband was very impressed with their work ethic and the fact that the foreman didn't make him feel like a "bother".  This was a stress free undertaking.  We would definitely call AJAg Gen. Contractors again if needed,' like when we pull the white carpet to put in wood floors, and absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for a contractor.

    Northwest Custom, Inc
Great person to work with, very detailed and accurate proposal, no hidden cost or surprises, throughout the project excellent communicator, all the work was done on time, on budget, no surprises. He is a perfectionist and takes great pride in the work he does. He will not stop working on your project until you are completely satisfied. Very flexible throughout the project. We made several changes in the middle of the project. He was supporting us and his recommendations helped to get what we wanted. We couldn't be any happier with his work and the quality of the remodel. Absolutely trustworthy and we had no issues at all to have him alone in our house. We even went on a 10 day vacation during the project. He updated us during the vacation and sent us pictures of the project progress. We can highly recommend him.

    Alliance Restoration Inc
As this was based on a fire this was a very traumatic experience. Alliance Restoration made everything after that as smooth as anyone could ever expect. This was a two story 1900 square foot house with a two car garage so this was a pretty large project. Alliance was
as professional as any company I have ever used. They supervised all the sub-contractors, inspectors and required paperwork. The work ethic of Alliance and all their sub-contractors was beyond expectation.
They were always there for us any time of the day. Any questions or problems we had were handled quickly and courteously. All the
changes we wanted to make were accomodated and suggestions made as to doing something better or more economical.
We cannot say enough about Alliance Restoration. We would recommend them for any building, remodel or restoration and repair type work that anyone would need. We have been in our "New Home" for sixteen months and have had no problems at all.

    SOUNDBUILT HOMES INC
CONSTRUCTION WAS SLOW AND MANY ERRORS WERE MADE. SOUNDBUILT HOMES DID NOT CONSTRUCT THE QUALITY OF HOME THAT THEY DESCRIBE ON THEIR WEBSITE. THE ARCHES IN MY HOME ARE DONE POORLY AND NOT CORRECTED TO THE STANDARD OF OTHER HOMES LIKE MINE. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE HOUSE AS IS OR THEY WOULD REFUND MY DEPOSIT.

    CORNESTONE HOMES & DEVELOPMENT LLC
THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE. THE HOME WAS FINISHED ON THE DATE PROMISED WITH VERY FEW ITEMS NEEDING TO BE FIXED. WE APPRECIATED THE HIGH QUALITY OF MATERIALS AND WORK. WE DIDN'T NEED TO UPGRADE MUCH AS THE STANDARD ITEMS WERE MORE THAN SUFFICIENT.
