AGale Rew Construction, Inc.They were professional and responsive to any questions. This is the second project I have hired them to do.- Betty D.

AAbsolute Home SolutionsMy expectations are that everything is done in 2 weeks. That's really not reasonable, it took about six weeks and had new ductwork installed, W/D utility sink relocated, new bathroom with separate sink/vanity area and then sliding door leading to shower/toilet area. The plumbing and electrical did take some added time but quality jobs take time and I did re-direct them at times to change the layout which they had no problem doing. Greg tiled the shower and bathroom floor at no extra cost since I set him up on another job in a rental house I own.- Kyle M.

AKendan Construction Inc.The original full tile shower that was already installed in our house when we purchased it leaked. We tore it out ourselves and realized the contractors that had done the work did absolutely nothing to water proof it. I took the opportunity to update the rest of the bathroom since we had to replace the shower. I emailed Jordan for an estimate and he got back to me within 24 hours. Jordan and his team were very professional. They respected my house and worked diligently throughout the work. They provided us a quote for all the work within a week of first meeting us. Their quote was itemized and every expense was justified. Any particular charge on the quote I had questions about they were responsive in explaining the fees. Not only did they provide a high level of quality in the work they did, they had great design ideas for the creativity impaired such as myself. The work took longer than I expected it to, but they did everything by the books. They let the shower liner soak overnight to assure that there were no leaks prior to installing it. They replaced the baseboards when they discovered they had water damage from the leaking shower. There was an issue with the vanity coming in finished on the wrong side, but Jordan and his team took care of it promptly and it did not delay them finishing their work by very much. I really liked that they let me pick things that I wanted them to do and let me do some things myself to save money. For example, he had his dry wall guys come in and patch all the holes and I primed and painted myself. He was very understanding of my budget and worked with me so that I was not spending more money than I was comfortable with. They even salvaged my old countertop to put on the new vanity to help me save some money. In the end, I didn?t pay a penny more than what they estimated. A few things came up along the way and they informed me of what it would cost and the reason it would need to be fixed prior to doing the work to make sure I was ok with the extra expenses. There was an issue with the vanity coming in finished on the wrong side, but Jordan and his team took care of it promptly and it did not delay them finishing their work by very much. Overall, I would highly recommend them and I will be using them again if I need more work done around the house.- JP R.

ABest Construction General ContractorThe owned, Mirsad, and his secretary came and did a walk through and noted many areas that needed fixing that we had missed. He made good notes and asked a lot of questions as to our expectations. A day later the secretary emailed with an estimate. This was the second estimate we had gotten on this job. I liked the fact that his estimate was lower than the first and the paint was included. Mirsad was very nice but somewhat difficult to understand but there was always someone with him to translate. The work is on time and they are doing a fine job. I would definitely recommend you check this company out; you won't be disapointed.- Al J.

AB C ConstructionHe was prompt, fair priced, and cleaned up after himself. I would use him for whatever my next job is.- Matt C.

FDoug's RemodelDoug attempted to remodel our basement, which included a bathroom and moving a laundry room. The job went from 3 weeks to 3 months and still wasn't done to even minimum quality standards. Once job was close to being completed we used the new shower and it didn't even drain. Doug and his team was very unresponsive to calls and getting quality issues resolved. They attempted to fix the problem finally and it didn't work. They came back and wanted us to pay to fix it. After we said no and that it was their responsibility they finally came out and took up shower pan and some tiles. The shower tiles look like a 5 year old completing a tiling project and the shower pan is still not correct. At this point we had to ask him to come over and figure out a path forward. We agreed to meet on a Monday am and he nor his business partner ever showed and will not return any calls. There are so many problems with this remodel that I can't even begin to go into full description but here is a summary. 1. Shower pan not installed correctly 2. Shower tiles not laid correctly 3. Tiles on floor coming up after at least a dozen attempts at laying floor tiles. We are still having some pop up. 4. Double sink vanity ruined during installation and continuing construction phase 5. Drywall on ceiling moves when pushed, so not attached correctly 6. Pony wall separating vanity and toilet was not installed correctly and vanity was ruined even more Overall, crew was extremely unprofessional and did not show any respect for the fact we lived in the house during the remodel. Our house has been covered in construction dust for almost 4 months. This led to our son having asthma flair ups and we had to spend significant money on carpet cleaning. Construction crew used our tools and our kitchen sink to clean up and left significant messes everyday when they actually showed up. Some days the crew would show up and at other times we wouldn't see or hear from them for a week. They would come and work for a couple hours, usually just creating a greater mess and accomplishing very little. So unfortunately we are now left without a functioning bathroom and are in the process of getting quotes from another contractor. The contractor that came in this week said that he would have to gut it completely. This has been a complete nightmare and would not even recommend this contractor to my worst enemy. It has not only been a huge financial impact to our family but an emotional toll. Doug Shima sold himself as a reputable contractor as this couldn't be farther from the truth based on our experience. I sincerely hope this review will help others from making the same mistake we made. His license # is DOUGSR*912PN.- Hannah M.

FHave sent 2 requests for a quote with not so much as a phone call back. I sent the second just in case something happened to the first. Apparently they have enough business they can blow people off. Doesn’t speak well for how actual work would go with them.

AGreg & Donnell cleaned all the exterior cabinet surfaces. I didn't want the insides painted and I really like the contrasting look now when I open them. Greg removed the doors and drawers and took them to his place to primer, lightly sand and paint. He and Donnell came back to do the same with the boxes. They worked super quick and well together. A real team there. They started on Monday and were completely finished by Friday morning. I purchased some handles at Home Depot and my son added them to the cabinets which really made them stand out. I could not be happier with the results. My cabinets turned out exactly like the picture I had in my head. My kitchen looks so much bigger and open and light.

ARay was very professional and punctual. Even though my project seemed small to start with, it had a few difficulties to work with. He coordinated well with the Structural Engineer to get things right and absorbed a lot of work to get the drawings done on time. He is very prompt on returning phone calls or e-mail messages and answered all my questions. He was pretty detailed in his drawings as well.
