  • This place is GREAT! I never take my cars anywhere else for body work. I had work done on the front of my car about a year ago. I noticed the paint started peeling off the front bumper. I took it in and they replaced the bumper and even provided me with a rental car. They didn't charge me a cent for anything. I really appreciate that they stood behind their work. The owner is fabulous and everyone there strives to provide full satisfaction. I highly recommend them!

  • Quality was excellent. Communications and punctuality could have been better. The work took a lot longer than originally estimated, in part because the vehicle was close to being totaled. Computer-generated emails said the car was nearly ready, while phone conversations said they had not even prepared a complete cost estimate yet. I highly recommend the shop on quality and it is worth it if you have time to wait.

  • I asked for an estimate to remove the offending bit. The head tech took a look and told me that it was there to direct airflow for improved mileage. Could they remove it? Yes. When could they do it, I asked. He replied: Do you have five minutes? He took the care in and removed the broken plastic, then fastened a second piece of plastic so that it wouldn't flap and cause the same problems. Then they refused to charge me anything for the service. It was a wonderful kindness, as I could see from the lineup of file folders that they had plenty of business to keep them busy. But they took the time just before lunch to do me a favor ... I was uncertain what function the piece performed, so I didn't want to pull it off myself and they prevented a future problem. A true kindness that is greatly appreciated!

  • Like most of San Antonio, experienced hail damage in April 2016 to my vehicle. Finally obtained insurance estimate and referral to Bracken Collision Center on 281 North. Repair ended up being approx $4,000.00. Bracken had very poor communication, never advising what work was actually being performed in advance of performing the work as they said they would do and, in fact, I never heard from them at all. I did not even know vehicle was to be complete until we checked up on it as we were worried our 30 day insurance rental car was to expire. Upon pick up of the vehicle there were a host of new (not previously present) paint chips in the vehicles hood and doors. Bracken refused to acknowledge any responsibility or do anything about the situation to resolve. I had State Farm come back out, but as they said it was not readily apparent to be hail related, they would not do anything unless I started a new claim and paid another deductible. I would never use this company again for any body work, but if you do...recommend taking many pictures of the car surface when you take it in and put on file to document and compare after they complete the work...otherwise, they will claim no fault and will just be your word against theirs.

  • CarStar provided excellent service.  This is the 3rd car I've had fixed at Car Star and I couldn't be happier.  He went the extra mile by making sure I had my car back on Friday rather than have to wait through the weekend.  I truly appreciated that he kept the prices below the threshold for totaling the car and he even fixed the air conditioner.

  • Use Juanita if you enjoy having to be inconvenienced twice, bringing back your car at a later date to have the work re-done, receiving a second higher quote to have the work done correctly, receiving your car that had the work outsourced and you are the one that has to point out quality issues.
Went to Juanita for two issues: 1) fixing rear bumper from a fender-bender, and 2) replacing front windshield and retainer.  My expectation when receiving a car back from a body shop is, ?Wow, I can?t tell that there was ever an issue.?  Isn?t that the whole point of a body repair?  I visually observed multiple issues with the front windshield from a distance and more issues as I came closer.
    * The windshield was not lined up correctly.
    * The lower part of the windshield was black which contained a clear rectangle so the VIN could be seen.  The rectangle on the windshield was at a different angle than the VIN.
    * The entire lower portion of the windshield contained some kind of debris.
    * The retainer that I specifically mentioned that needed to replaced was not and was popping out.
    * There was an indent in the seal on the top of the windshield.
Juanita then called the glass people they had outsourced the work to.  Grateful that Juanita called them; however, extremely disappointed that I have to point these issues out.  Juanita should have never accepted the work from the outsourced vendor to begin with. Was everyone just hoping I wouldn?t notice?
Juanita and the outsourced vendor would say this and that as to why the windshield was the way it was.  Don?t really care why - only care about the end result.  I could care less if the work was performed by the Keebler elves, at the end of the day I simply need to be able to pick up my car and say, ?Wow, I can?t tell that there was ever an issue.?  Don?t give me excuses, give me results.
So now, Juanita says well if you want the work to be done correctly, you need to pay twice as much and come back later.  Yes, the price doubled to get the work done correctly.  As a result of the fender-bender, I had the use of a car rental at the insurance company?s expense.  Now when I have to take the car back to have the work done correctly, which of course should have been done correctly in the first place, I will not have the use of a car rental except at my expense.
Why can?t companies simply do what they are hired to do?

  • After dinner, we came down to pick up our car - and the rear passenger side was all scratched and banged up by the valet.
So, being new to Seattle, we called around to find a body shop and were given Aldercrest's name. We went there - and immediately settled that this is where we wanted things fixed. They stepped into the conversations with the insurance folks for us, took care of negotiations to get our car fixed right, and bridged all gaps when the valet became difficult to work with.  There was hidden damage that wasn't obvious ... and the insurance company became difficult about paying for the additions.
They even stepped up and dropped their price just to help us out and make sure that things were done right - just to make the problem go away.  That's not normal service these days ... a company that works with their customers isn't common anymore.
Thanks to Aldercrest - we'll definitely go back for any other body work (and detailing needs)!

  • It was expensive because we were hit from the high in front and they did that repair a year ago on January. That was a lot of a car that was 14 years old, it was like on the boarder and fixing it and not fixing it. It is Alexis and about 16 miles on it. And so, when they fixed it, they fixed it like brand new. I took it my mechanic and afterwards, I said I want you to go to this and find this call and make sure we are not missing something. And they said, well, we can bend it out the exhaust system have been shoved in but the car went under the back and it is got a kink in it and the obviously the company listed and they said but we can bend it out for you and everything like that. And I said, no, I think I would rather take it back to the people fixed it. I took it back there and I said, just leave to be bent out as far as our mechanic says and they took one looked out and they said, we cannot fix it the way it should be fixed. And so they took it to this muffler having entire new thing put in and take the price on it. They just bent over backwards. I could be critical of them for missing in the first place but the way they handle it, I think more than redeemed any over site they had. But it is a beautiful car and back to being a beautiful car, it runs beautifully. And we tried all over to find anything comfortable. It has been garage by someone who went out for the winter every year and drove over a little and the body was improving conditions, so, they fixed it, perfect condition, and we have not had a reason to fill like they needed poor decision and we appreciate it being able to do that. We have to use it again in one month because I got by hit man driver from siding his car. So, those were the first accidents we had and we would had fall even one of them and certainly never anticipating hit and run driver, two vehicles worst.

  • They were very accommodating and did an excellent job on the repair. They also went the extra mile and blended in some scratches so the car looks like new. This is a small place where they obviously place a high value on customer service and quality work. I would definitely take my car there again.
