AI know there are good and bad reviews of K-9, we chose it to try it out. We had out pups in the VIP suite, the reason i didn't give it higher ratings is because i felt we were paying for a service I am not able to confirm they received. Their cameras and camera system didn't work for the entire time our pups were boarded there. This was a huge reason we chose them, as well as chose to trust them with our fur babies. It was not available. For the first couple days I was thinking it was us and not doing something right, but then I kept bugging them, and come to find out nothing was working and we were told they are working to upgrade their system. They did take photos one day of our pups and while this was nice, they post photos of their dogs every day, and for the 13 days we were there, we only got pictures of our pups one day. While I am pretty sure they took good care of my pups, I was just disappointed for the lack of cameras in their VIP suites.

FThe last time I had him in, she told me that “maybe this is the new normal for him.” That was the wrong thing to say.

FI dropped both of my dogs off at the Petco Grooming Center at the Coeur 'd Alene, ID facility. My larger dog, a retriever mix, is a nervous type. My other dog, an Aulstralian Shepherd is a sweet, happy to follow, fella. Stephanie, the gal at Petco took two of their leashes, the loop through kind, and attached them together and literally pulled the two dogs through the door to the facility at the same time. The little dog was literally choking. I stopped her and asked her to take the dogs one at a time. She was clearly miffed at my intervention. She took the larger dog, Howie to the back, I heard him yelp as she stuffed him into a kennel. Howie was a rescue from the animal shelter several years ago. He had been abused and abandoned as a puppy and is leary of some people naturally. At this point I had already asked to speak to the supervisor of the grooming facility. Star assured me that the dogs would be given superior care and that the expirences I was having were not the store norm. I reluctantly agreed, a decision I would later regret. Stephanie took Max, the smaller dog and I left. About two hours later, Stephanie, called to tell me that Max had bitten her. That she had tried to continue by putting a muzzle on him, but he went "beserk" (her words) and she was unable to continue. She also informed me that because Max is "agressive" he could no longer be groomed by Petco. I have 6 children. The oldest is 16 and the youngest is not quite two years old. As you can imagine, Max has had ample opportunity to be agressive due to roughhousing kids. NOT ONCE has he so much as nipped at a child. I was very skeptical and asked to speak to the supervisor. Star told me she was not aware of what actually took place, and agreed that Max had never been agressive in the past. (this was his 10th visit to Petco) I went to pick up my dogs. Neither had been fully groomed, no toenails clipped, or hair cuts. Max literally was half cut. I decided to keep my mouth shut and not argue with the groomer. I felt I was not getting the true story and did not wish to be lied to. I offered to pay for the two hours that the dogs were there, but Stephanie would not give me a ticket. She also said she did not appericaite being accused of hurting an animal. I had never accused her of anything, let alone of hurting Max. I took Max immediately to the vet. He has two broken ribs that he had not had when I took him to Petco. Apparently at some point after we left, she took my intervention out on the poor dog. I immediately called Petco and told them the vets findings. At this point all I wanted was an apology and payment for the vet bill. I recieved no apology, and an accusation that we caused the injury after we left. I have called the police, filed a report, contacted the BBB, filed a complaint, and will be calling an attorney on Monday morning. It disturbs me that a company that clearly has a vested interest in the health and well being of animals would employ such people. I agree that this is not the normal service I would recieve from Petco. But I did this time. My poor dog was injured in the process and that is inexcusable. I am disappointed that my complaint was handled in such a manner and that my animal was treated with so little regard. Stephanie could not show me where the dog had bitten her. I was willing to pay for any injury that she had incurred. When the vet was checking Max, he yelped, but did not even so much as turn to nip at him. Hummm, I wonder about her story.

ANancy is the owner of Wash 'n Wagon and she runs a mobile grooming business. I have been a customer for about 3 years now, and I have never been disappointed in the services Nancy provides. I went to at least 6 different groomers before Nancy, and I am totally satisified. My border collie has long hair and a problem expressing the anal gland. Nancy takes care of everything for me, and she does it well each and every time. The mobile grooming is so convient for me since I don't drive any more. I used to drop my dog off, and come back in 3 or 4 hours. It takes a lot longer because storefront groomers are taking care of several dogs at the same time, and the dog ends up in a crate for most of that time. When Nancy shows up, it is all about my dog. The service usually takes about 60-90 minutes, depending on what kind of hair trimming is going on. She is the best, and my dog Sam loves her.
Over a year after my first review, and everything is still awesome. My dog gets excited when Nancy shows up, that never happened with any number of groomers we tried before we found Wash 'n Wagon. It is very convenient having the groomer come to you, just work on your animal and finish up much faster than the others. I did care for how long it used to take when we had to drop our dog off. Give Nancy a try, you will be quite pleased.Reviewed by Donald H.

CI have taken my large dog for years and had always been extremely happy with them. Last year, when my dog wet his bed (they threw the entire pad and covering out), I asked them why they did not take him out as they used to do. They informed me they no longer had 24/7 care and supervision. That was one of they reasons I picked them and also because the kennel and environment did not smell. There was a very strong noticeable smell of urine last year.

ALYNN DEE'S GROOM & TRAININGSecond use on a nippy Lhasa. They seem to be gentle as the girl seems happier on pick-up. Scheduling at other was why I tried this place and I knew they were full-test dog people from some training I went too. Seem top-notch. $45/50 tipped.- Steve H.

ADee's Dog GroomingThe dogs seem relaxed and the snippy one is still not needing a muzzle after several trips- these people are great with dogs. They also train. On professionalism its a small staff and you can’t get someone right away many times- very old-school you call, leave message, they take paper checks (and cards), so thats a B. Price isn’t low, a B, but to my thinking they might be more, as they are very committed to dogs and a helpful recourse, so I tip.- Steve H.

AD' Tails Pet SalonWe had taken our previous 2 dogs to D'Tails for about 3 years. They both could hardly wait to go and would come home happy and tired and looking beautiful! Both were Shitzu/Carin terrier mixes. They passed away in January and the owners were very kind with our both dogs' passing. Now we have a 7 month old Cavalier King Charles/Chihuahua mix. We knew he would find a great experience at D'Tails. His first visit was in April and he came home just beautiful, happy and full of energy. This month, he was very eager to go and played his heart out while he was there. Once again we picked up a happy dog who knew he really looked GREAT! It's fun to watch him strut around, obviously pleased with his looks. That evening he settled in earlier and slept longer that on any other day. We love knowing our dog is happy and well cared-for when he goes there. Not to mention that the price is very reasonable and they do a super job. Would definitely recommend them.- Lynda H.

AAngie's GroomingdalesHair cuts were good but the doggie waiting area (kennels) are dirty and smell bad. So bad the last visit that I was uncomfortable leaving my doggies there. Towels in the kennels were dirty and the area smelled like a dead mouse.- Theresa P.

ADOG GROOMING BY LORIThey always come back looking good. Lori and her team remember how we like the dogs to look. The groomers like us to drop off the two dogs for the day and pick them up in the late afternoon. Our dogs are used to going to doggie day care during the work week --- so they're used to being with other dogs. They seem to enjoy the grooming experience.- David G.
