    The technician (sorry we did not get his name) arrived on time and immediately knew what the problem was. He replaced the faulty pump and also checked over the rest of the furnace. We felt the cost was very reasonable--and we got 10% off with the Angies List coupon. The next morning (Saturday) the furnace was not working properly. The same tech came back and immediately found a switch that had been inadvertently switched off--probably when the furnace cover was replaced. No charge. Even though he had to come back, we were very pleased with the service. The technician who came was very helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely call him again if we should have further problems.

    A service rep came out to do a furnace tune-up. He then called me in to show me some rust on the venting tube, saying that the furnace needed to be replaced. And he then showed me a puddle on the floor that was coming from my hot water tank, and some "rust" on the tank, and said we needed to replace it too. After he left, I noticed the rate at which the tank was leaking, and thinking about the size of the puddle on the floor, realized that the floor had to have been dry when he got there. Otherwise there would have been a lot more water on the floor. I don't believe for a moment that it just spontaneously started leaking while he was here. I had a trusted handyman come out to look at both pieces of equipment. He said the furnace was fine, and we could easily replace the venting. As for the "rust" on the water tank, it easily scraped off, showing paint underneath---it was not rust. He then explained to me how easy it would have been for the service rep to create the leak, which was what I had suspected all along. So, instead of the $4000-$5000 RDI wanted to charge me to replace everything, we have a $100 repair to the prv, which I should make RDI do for free, but I do not want them in my home ever again. I DO NOT TRUST THEM!

    They came to do a yearly service on our 2 furnaces.  Our furnaces were both working just great.  After they left we noticed that night that the attic furnace was not coming on.  I called them the next morning and they said they could not come out until the next day.  They showed up the next day and figured out that they had not shut the cover to activate the switch.  He left again and said it was running.  We realized the next day that yes it was running this time but was not heating anything.  I called them once again and left a message saying that I wanted my money back since it was obvious that they did not know what they were doing.  They did not return my call until they were called again a message was left.  They said that they would send out their master tech that afternoon.  He came out messed with it for a while and said it must be a "strange coincidence but the module went out and he wasn't sure how much the part costs that it would probably be 600 or more.  I told him I really don't have a lot of faith in them since I feel they did something wrong during the service and broke it.  the Master tech said I will leave then and stormed out.  We have never heard from them since.

    We had a miscommunication over where he was supposed to go. He went to my main home instead of the house I wanted him at (which was two blocks away).  Originally ran late, but did call with a new time.
    Serviced furnace without any problems and checked everything out finding no problems.  Good experience, would use again.

    A/C went out suddenly.  After reading several reviews, II called Airco and talked to Dave. He was on another job and came by immediately once he was done there, which turned out to be about 2 hours later.  Fortunately the weather was cool enough I didn't need the a/c.
    He diagnosed my A/C, found a bad capacitor, replaced it, and tested the amperage, and the unit was up & running within 35 minutes!
    The capacitor cost about $150 and the service visit was $85, but I was able to use an Angie's List $20 discount.  All in all, not unreasonable.

    Vern was friendly, punctual and professional.  He went above and beyond by answering all my questions and acquainting me with my gas fireplace.  We had just moved in and needed to know how to run it.  He showed me how to get into it and told me lots of information that I would have never found out on my own.
    The furnace inspection went well.  He discussed upkeep and showed me various things to watch out for in the future.  Vern also gave us a requested quote on an AC install for next spring.
    We have scheduled an install of a replacement part for the furnace for tomorrow.  Nice availability!

    I am so pleased with the service I received from Nick and The Barton Boys!
    My air conditioner stopped working two days before the 4th of July holiday. I didn't realize this until the evening of July 2nd when I returned home from work. I thought it would be impossible to get someone out to fix it before the 4th. I called multiple different air conditioning repair services that evening and, even though many said they offered 24 hour emergency service, I didn't get a single call back. However, first thing in the morning on the 3rd, Nick from the Barton Boys returned my call and apologized for not getting back to me sooner. I was just so happy to get a call back as nearly all of the other companies either didn't return my call at all or told me that they couldn't get out to even look at the unit for 5 - 10 days.
    Nick asked me to explain what was happening with the unit and he quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone. He gave me a time that I should expect him to arrive on THAT DAY! I was amazed that he was prepared to fix the air conditioner that very day! He actually arrived even earlier than he anticipated and had the air conditioner fixed in a matter of minutes. Yes, literally minutes!
    He didn't expect me to leave work and come to the house. He didn't require me to sign any repair agreement. He didn't expect payment up front. He just went right to work and fixed my air conditioner! What fantastic customer service!
    If you happen experience the same misfortune of having your air conditioner quit working during these hot summer months, don't even bother calling any other repair service. JUST CALL THE BARTON BOYS! THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!

    I visited their website and saw clearly the "Get a FREE ESTIMATE".  I called for a free estimate for extending a gas line from my boiler room to my laundry room to install a gas dryer.  The first call resulted in a "please hold" for several minutes before I hung up and dialed again.  On the second call, I was told that gas lines were done on a time-and-materials basis only.  Well, ok, I understand that but I still need some kind of idea how much it will cost so I can make the decision to have the work done or not.  Again, I was informed that gas lines are only done on a time-and-materials basis.  So, is that $100 or $1000?  $10,000?



    How about $0?  I called a competitor who's coming this afternoon to give me an estimate.  Free.

    Our Air Conditioning unit stopped working, so I called Airco Mechanical.  Rick answered the phone and said he could be at our house in a half hour that same day.  He arrived at our home when he said he would, and got right to work in looking at the problem.  The contactor on the A/C unit went bad, so he replaced it and had our A/C unit working.  He was very courteous and professional and took the time to explain to me what was wrong with the A/C unit, and how the "contactor" part worked.  I definitely will use Rick in the future.  He was great to work with, very prompt, and professional.
