AAll Concrete Surfaces LLCWe selected All Concrete Surfaces (ACS), Richard Fredrickson's company after reviewing comments in both Angie's List and Consumers Checkbook. These previous very positive comments from both sources were accurate in respect to Rich's pricing, performance, and work product. Based on our first consultation with Rich and his positive innovative thinking, we expanded our scope from a driveway repair originally required to handle our water problem to our realization we needed to replace the entire driveway plus add a rear walkway. Calling Rich back for a second consultation and in consideration of our thinking, Rich suggested designs beyond our limited thinking. For the driveway he suggested a petite cross driveway drain for a positive water removal system and rather than a patchwork rear walkway suggested replacing both original cement pads with an integrated walkway including a step replacing a wood scab-on step, far improving the original troublesome path and our narrow ideas. in addition, our side graveled parking area contained a huge rock (calculated at 2&1/2 tons), which Rich was able to remove and place on a side planting area. This chore, which Rich gladly completed for us at no additional cost, allowed us to do a proper re-sculpting of the side area. At no time did Rich try to oversell us or promote an expanded project; Rich just offered his professional judgment in accomplishing our needs. We could not be more pleased at the outcome and strongly recommend ACS for any concrete work. To summarize: 1. A man of his word, for instance does what he says he will do. 2. Shows up on time 3. Works the entire time he is on the job 4. Does beautiful work ? end product shows quality work 5. Clean work site 6. Professional and polite work crew 7. Works long workdays to get the job done 8. Has innovative ideas; greatly improved on original job request 9. Easy to talk to and listens well- Elwood H.

ANORTHWEST PRECISION CONCRETEMatt was very responsive to my request for concrete work to attach a new footing to my eroded sea wall. After acquiring building permits, we met to map out the work that needed to be done before the Lake Chelan water levels raised for the season. Matt and Brian prioritized me into their schedule of multiple jobs due to the time constraint with respect to the water levels. He excavated per the Engineering drawing, attached rebar per engineering specs, used a technique for one sided forms held in place by attachments to the existing wall (this allowed the concrete to fill the voids under the existing footing caused by the erosion) and scheduled a pumper and concrete trucks for the pour. Concrete pour of approximately 35 yards over 145 feet of wall went smoothly with his team of 4 onsite, plus the pumper and concrete drivers. They smoothed the concrete, buffered the edges, and after removing the forms they filled the holes to prevent water from entering. They used a higher grade of concrete, paid attention to details and backfilled the footing with rock placement to come flush with the top of the new footing. They cleaned up the site, removing all debris and left me a satisfied customer. Excellent work, on time and on budget. I may have paid a bit of a premium but well worth it to have this project done within my schedule constraints. Matt also noticed my rotted hillside retaining walls and suggested he could remove and dispose of them while he had the equipment and men there. After his more than reasonable estimate, I gave him the go ahead and they were gone within a day. I followed up with a landscaper and had a new concrete block wall installed within the week. Thanks you Matt for your foresight and Brian for sounding out my options with me!- James B.

AW. A. Morris Construction, Inc.Wayne is awesome, personable and did very professional work with attention to detail. Both areas needed to be cleared of sod and vegetation and he agreed to haul it away for no extra charge. For the slab, the frost line footer looked like it had been carved out with a laser, appropriate re-bar was added and pouring and finishing went exactly as planned and scheduled. After reviewing the shed plans, he got J-Bolts in "spot-on" locations avoiding vertical studs and doors. The exposed pea-gravel pad for the Gazebo turned out fabulous with perfect drainage. (which wasn't easy to do because he had to match one edge to an existing pad that was already close to grade). Both pads were completed in about a week with only his single sidekick - Dakota (Both Wayne and Dakota can play a mean banjo and entertained us while the concrete was setting up enough to finish :-). We were extremely pleased with the experience and feel lucky to have found Wayne to do the work. Highly recommended!- Daniel F.

FIt has taken me two years to write this because I just didn’t know what to think of the whole ordeal. I’m finally ready to share so no one makes the same mistake that I did. I own a roughly 920 sq ft home in Covington with a one car garage. I ran across this company at Enumclaw Wine Walk in 2015 or so and expressed interest n siding or roofing as both were really needed on my home. They called for over a year before I finally agreed to have them out to look at the siding. When the salesman arrived, he mentioned the roof needed repair more than the siding. I agreed as he wasn’t wrong. He pressed and pressed me to go in my house, sit down and look at options for a roof. He was a bit smarmy and kind of made me nervous, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have him give me an estimate. Once inside, he continued to press and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I’m a single female and had him over at a time where my neighbors weren’t home. I felt a bit trapped in my own house. This man saw an opportunity to make a sale and he pressed until it happened. I became emotional and called a couple of friends for advice. When I gave the quote amount to one he advised me not to sign this contract. It was way too much. My dad; however, was very concerned that my house stay in good order so he advised me to just sign and assured me he would help with the financial impact. I’m a teacher in the local community and while the cost of a roof isn’t exactly easy for anyone, it was especially impactful on my salary at he time. The salesman quoted me roughly $13,900 for the roof on my tiny house. As Tim passed, I was so uncomfortable that I finally just signed the contract to get him out of my house. I knew I had three days to back out and planned to do so, but my roof ended up leaking and I needed someone to call for help. Rainier it was. I will give them credit for being responsive in that way. This salesperson knew I was nervous about who would be over to do the work and when. He promised he would watch out for me the whole way. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from my neighbor while I was at work telling me the roofers has ascended, in all sorts of unmarked, personal vehicles. One thing I had asked explicitly is if they’d be showing up on schedule in company vehicles, I was assured they would. Nope. They didn’t even give notice when they came. The company did feel bad enough about this scheduling snafu that they sent a small Visa gift card for the trouble. Now, two years later, the quality of the roof is fine, some soft spots still, but it certainly is no better than any of my neighbors’ roofs. It should have cost no more than $8,000 at the very most. I was set up with their financing at Salal Credit Union on a 10 year payoff and have made absolutely no progress towards chipping away at the principal. I finally moved the loan to BECU and will pay it off within a couple years. How did I get myself into this? I don’t know. I should have gotten multiple offers. I should have been stronger with the salesman. I should have stood up for myself. I didn’t. And the sad thing is the company saw that as an opportunity to capitalize on a sale. Where are the ethics? How many people do they do this to? How do they look at themselves in the mirror? (Probably the mirror of a sports car my teacher salary is paying for.) Ya, they put a decent roof on, but almost every other aspect of what they told me was a lie to close the deal....at nearly double the price I should have paid. Please, if you’re still reading, use my experience as a cautionary tale. Be prepared for what you are doing, have support, if you are young or a first time owner...don’t do this alone. And definitely do not use this company without having done a ton of research first!!!

AWe called Mr. Gill for an estimate and were pleased with both the estimate and the ideas he had for our sidewalk. It was not the easiest area due to grade problems around house. He recommended a small retaining wall to prevent water from running towards house. He had some difficulty fitting us in between other jobs and weather issues but when they did get to us, it went fast. They were very professional. One day they came and leveled areas and set forms for pouring concrete. Next day they were here and began pouring. They took every precaution to not damage our existing lawn and road. They covered the concrete to protect against cold. Mr. Gill came by and checked on it the next few days and then his crew arrived to remove all covers and finish cleanup. The results were wonderful. I waited to write this review so I could better tell you how the sidewalk has weathered the winter. It was an exceptionally cold winter. The melting snow never pooled against house but ran off towards lawn. Shovel snow was easy. Rain just washes away and does not pool either. It was sloped perfectly. Mr. Gill also came back later and checked on the pour to see that is was ok. Now it is April and the sidewalk is beautiful. It has added to the comfort of getting around our yard and is going to be a great asset to our home's value. We now have an 8' wide sidewalk that will allow us to move around easily and to barbeque, etc. I would highly recommend Mr. Gill and his crew and would use them again in any future jobs we might have.
