About Us

No cost for initial consultation or to attend an information packed seminar. Real People. We take great pride in the quality of our customer service and feel our customers deserve a real, live person on the phone to assist them. We believe in customer service excellence at all levels of our organization. Behind the scenes, every Sterling employee is engaged in developing better ways to serve our customers. Wise Choices. Sterling is committed to providing solutions for Medicare beneficiaries, providers and business owners. We offer a variety of products tailored to meet the unique needs of our customers. Because of our commitment to service and choice, every business decision we make includes answering the question, “How will this affect our customers?” "Real People. Wise Choices.” It’s more than a tagline, it’s the way we do business. Sterling Life Insurance Company was established in 1958. In 1999, Sterling entered the Medicare market and expanded its sales force across the nation. Sterling’s national licensing and expertise in designing innovative products and services exclusively related to the Medicare population helped Sterling create a unique niche in the health insurance industry. Sterling was the first to successfully contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for a newly-authorized Medicare health plan, Private-Fee-for-Service (PFFS). By incorporating this plan into its already established Standard Medicare and Medicare Select insurance plans, Sterling is able to offer this mix of products in one platform. Sterling was also the first to allow policyholders to move between certain health plans as their needs change, without additional underwriting. Sterling offers insurance plans that cover 11 major critical illnesses and conditions, including: heart attack, cancer (as defined by the policy), stroke, kidney failure, benign brain tumor, blindness, loss of hearing, loss of speech, major organ transplant, paralysis and severe burns. These plans can be used alone, or in conjunction with other health insurance you may already have. Benefits from these types of plans typically can be used for any purpose, depending on the needs of the policyholder.
