Door Installation reviews in Chattaroy

    James Henry Pro LLC
We hired him to work on four of our doors. He only worked on two. The two that he worked on were not done well and were damaged. He wanted his down payment before he finished. I told him that I wanted the jam replaced and wanted to keep my front door. He told me that it was going to be more than that to fix it than to replace it. He told me that he could get me one that was cheaper that was like our original front door. The door that he purchased ended up being way more than he said it would be. He said that he could get us a fire door for the garage $125 and when it came to pay for the door it was over $700. He told us that included everything with the work included. He had been over to our house around 5 or 6 times total from the end of September until Thanksgiving. We told him that we couldn?t start until after the first week of October. The original front door I had. I had a cafe curtain rod that was magnetic. The window was rectangular. He told me when he brought the book out that there was one that was closest to the door that I have. The door that was closest to what I had had and arched window at the top. I told him that was fine as the curtain rod will still stick to the door. I told him that I like to have the curtain up when I was home alone at the beginning. I told him that it was very important that I had a metal door for the curtain. He told me that the door that he ordered was a metal door. He kept telling us that the door had been a real bear and that it had been a bugger. He told us after all of this that the door wasn't metal but it was fiberglass. I can't hang my curtain up as it is not metal and the curtain is hung by magnets. The metal door was a non-negotiable. He knew that and still ordered the fiberglass door. He ruined the French door after he started to work on it. We asked him to use the Dura flex white caulking. He used an opaque caulking and then he used a silicone on the inside without scraping off the old one. He said that he would fix the things that he had messed up and then when he came back he would just go onto new things without fixing the old things. He started to do a side job for us by fixing our appliance garage that we had. I told him that I didn?t have a clamp to fix the appliance garage. He brought the appliance garage back that he took to fix. There were gouges in the cabinet from where he ruined it. He took it back home and said that he would fix it. He came back without the appliance garage. I asked him where it was and he told that he needed the money for the doors. We gave him the money for the doors. He finally brought it back and had fixed the bottom blocks on the appliance garage. He put the side of the garage that had come off. The side that was put back on was not damaged but the side that wasn?t even worked on had been damaged. He told me that there needed to be nails in the side of the cabinet. I told him that there didn?t need to be. I asked him not to put the nails in the side and he did it anyway. When I asked him about it, he said he had to go. Every time we tried to have him to explain why he hadn?t fixed things, he said he had to go. He started the French door for us. I contacted my husband as the issues. He asked me to get the paperwork together. I placed all the paperwork together in a nice clean row on the table. He came back out to do some work and I was getting ready to go somewhere. He had stolen all of the paperwork off of the table before he had left. He came back over with another guy while we were sleeping. He had never come with another guy. It was like he was trying to intimidate us by bringing the other guy with him. We weren?t intimidated by him bringing someone else. My husband told him that he wanted to see the door before he installed it. George told my husband that it was too late because the door was wrapped up. He put up the new door even though we hadn?t approved of it first. My husband came back to me and let me know that I wasn?t going to like what I saw. The door was defective. I told him that I needed to get the number for the company as the door was defective but he told me that the door wasn?t defective. The paint looked like had been rolled on. I asked him if he rolled it on and he looked away and told me that he didn?t. I told him that I had to leave and he said that he was going to talk to my husband. He went and told my husband that I wouldn?t like the work and that I wouldn?t want him to paint the other door. He told my husband that he was going to bring the door back and refund the money for the work that he didn?t do on the other doors. He didn?t finish the job or insulate the door and he left. There is a large gap between the hinge and the door frame. This was the two days before Thanksgiving. We called him the day after Thanksgiving and told him that we needed him to come out and fix it. He was here about two minutes and didn?t evenly fill in the insulation. He didn?t even put in half of the insulation. We asked him about fixing the French door and he told us that he had to go. He said that he was going to bring the fire door out the next day that we had purchased and that he would give us a refund for the work he didn?t do. He never came out and brought out the door. We tried to contact him and he never answered the phone calls. In the letter he basically blamed me for the work because it wasn?t up to my satisfaction. In the letter he said that we owed him $300 for the door and that once we paid for it we can come pick it up. We had to finish all of the work that he didn?t do. We had to put in the insulation. He can?t do the work. He doesn?t know how to do the work. When you tell him to fix the job, he has to leave and then never fixes the work. He didn?t do any of the simplest tasks. He didn?t do anything correctly.
