  • One week after we purchased our Whirlpool frig/freezer unit from Albert Lee's Appliance in Bellevue, WA (will never go there again) it started leaking. They sent out a guy to fix and stated it was repaired. In a few weeks, it began leaking again, but sporadically, off and on, so we thought we'd just deal with it. About 4 mos. ago, it began leaking profusely under the unit on to our hardwood floors. It eventually became so bad that it was leaking sometimes up to 2 quarts of water/day. During this time, we were placing towels all around the unit 24/7 to save our floors. We began calling immediately...Albert Lee, Whirlpool, anyone who could come. The earliest was in 2 weeks. Some company set an aptmt. for two weeks out....and then never showed up. Next company, HI TECH APPLIANCE SERVICE (Peter) came and took $125 for their services and said they had to order parts. We called many times, and they never came back, or answered our calls. Carter Brothers Refrig. service...we tried, but they couldn't come. i believe they said they did not handle Whirlpool units. Things were getting so bad with the water leakage that we were 24/7 putting thick towels all around the unit just to try and save our hardwood floors. We did eventually shut the water off to the unit. Finally, we found Olson Appliance Service LLC Heating & Cooling in Kirkland, WA. They sent someone out within a week, and finally told us that Whirlpool had been having problems with this ice maker unit, and that there were new parts that were going to be ordered. They came back in about 3 weeks (we were on vacation one week) and yesterday, Todd Olson and another employee came and installed the first unit of this kind in our Whirlpool. It Works!!! No leaking on the floor....no condensation inside...and we have ice! In the scheme of the world, it's a little thing....but we are grateful. We highly recommend Olson Appliance and will only go to them for all our appliance needs in the future. DO NOT GO TO ALBERT LEE'S APPLIANCE....OR HI TECH APPLIANCE SERVICE. HEAD OVER TO OLSON APPLIANCE IN KIRKLAND, WA....ask for Todd Olson. Tell him Jane Bakken sent you!!

  • There is a reason Richard has an all A rating. He's the man! I have a very heavy garage door that eventually took its toll on the motor. Richard thoroughly explained our options and recommended the proper system to get the door back in service. Came out to Carnation twice, ran to Tacoma to get the right lift master 3/4 hp unit. Didn't take long to install either. Richard is definitely the go to guy on diagnosing garage door problems and is not a pushy salesman. Really good experience and would highly recommend.

  • Our ice maker would cease to output ice for many days and then start working again all on its own. It appeared that a large ice overflow would lock up the mechanism and prevent it from dispensing ice into the "bucket". I have no idea why it would suddenly start working again.
    I called the extended warranty company and they arranged for Seattle Home Appliance Service to repair it.
    A serviceman came out and disassembled the ice maker because one sub-assembly had become disconnected from another sub-assembly. He put the ice maker back together and assured us the problem was fixed. After the serviceman left, the ice maker dumped one tray of ice, refilled with water, and then failed to produce anymore ice.
    I called the service and they said they would order a new ice maker and that it should arrive in 1 to 2 days and they would call to arrange an appointment at that time. After 5 days of not hearing from them, I called and they said it should take another 4 days to arrive. When no one called after 4 days, I called and was told the ice maker had arrived, but they were having a problem locating it. The man said he would sort it out and call me no later than the end of the business day. But he didn't.
    I called the next day and was told that it hadn't actually been ordered yet. (We are now about 14 days out from when it was supposed to be ordered.) I asked to speak with the manager who was very helpful after hearing of the poor customer service his people had provided to me. The part was placed on order and installed one week later.
    The cost was covered by the warranty and the end result was satisfactory, but their multiple failures to call me when they promised, and to get the ice maker promptly was unsatisfactory.

  • I had a great experience with Mr. Peacock. He came out, diagnosed, and fixed my oven with a part he had in his truck. I told him I was also occasionally smelling propane in the kitchen and he found the source for me. Unfortunately, he did not carry the necessary part to fix it with him. I asked if it was something I could do myself, and instead of trying to upsell his services to me, he happily gave me the part number and told me to call him if I had any questions about its installation. Friendly guy and very professional.

  • My mother's washer had leaked a large amount of water from below. I called Mountain Appliance based on its location and Angie's list ratings. The call taker was extremely professional and courteous. She told me exactly what to expect the day of service and offered to call when the tech was on his way. On the day of service, the office called to alert us that the tech was en route and he showed up exactly on time at 10:00 (the appointment was for a window of 10-12). Sal was extremely clean-cut, polite and worked neatly.  He used a special tool to tighten the hose and fix the leak.

  • I was given three hour windows on both visits. I live east of Redmond so I was near the end of the 3 hour window on the first visit and 30 minutes late on the second visit. This was my only gripe, the windows could have been smaller since they knew I would be their last customer of the day. But he found the problem quickly. Determined quickly that there was indeed a replacement prt for the 15 year old oven. The part came in and I was quickly scheduled for another visit. He was very professional and cleaned up the area. The oven is working fine and cooking food again.

  • My experience was very good. I called on a Monday and they came on a Tuesday. He was 11 minutes late, but considering the issues it was good timing. He did a good job installing it and I am very pleased.
