    TLC Home Solutions
I found Tony with TLC Home Solutions while looking for a GC in my area. After talking with a few I picked TLC to fix my home. I had failing siding, water leaking, and had been through 2 other GC's. Tony gave me a thorough understanding of why the problems occurred and explained in depth his recommendation to fix it. We are staying in this house so we opted to fix all the siding, flashing, and wrap issues by the builder. As the work was completed, it became apparent he was right with his proposal to fix it all rather than just doing the visibly damaged area's. During the job, he found many of my roof tiles were gone and worked with my Home Insurance company to cover the roof damage. In the end, he did a fantastic job and my home is ready to go for years to come. I highly recommend TLC for your home and have no regrets.

    Lifetime Remodeling Systems LLC
During Scotts (General Manager of Lifetime Remodeling Systems) initial visit, I knew LRSd be the company for me to hire to get my re-siding/painting project done right. I found great harmony between LRS management practices and my own life philosophy. For example, their siding/painting crews were all company employees (and not subs) and were treated with respect and dignity. I truly believe that a caring management team produces happier employees, who in turn deliver wonderful work results for their customers. I was fortunate enough to have Chris (the Foreman), Juan, and Jesus work on my house. This was such a small crew and yet extremely efficient and effective in executing Chris vision and plan for my house. The work covered numerous intricate details and Chris and his crew were always on top of them. What impressed me the most was how harmoniously and seamlessly they worked as a team. A fair amount of the time they worked in 90/100-degree heat and still they carried on without showing any sign of distress at all. Chris was the most hardworking foreman I had ever got to work with on a major project. He was multi-talented and was wherever he was needed at the moment. He was able to meet all my brilliant questions with his even more brilliant answers. Chris was only able to do first-rate work and his leadership and attention to detail were second to none. Scott and Chris also offered me invaluable design advice on siding and paint colors. Their recommendations have made my house turn out to be even more beautiful. In conclusion, I want to thank Scott and Chris for their impeccable leadership, thank Chris, Jesus, and Juan for their mastery, professionalism, and for taking so much pride in their work, and thank Gino (LRS owner) for running such a great company for us homeowners in the Greater Portland/Vancouver area.

    Assurant Exteriors
It was a nightmare working with Assurant Exteriors (AE). AE advertised to have a project manager to be on site during our project to ensure good communication, work quality, and project completion. As it turned out they had 1 manager overseeing 19 projects simultaneously. This manager had no time to watch over our project. His primary goal was to make sure the crews got their job done quickly to collect payments and move to the next job. Numerous issues had occurred: 1) Some of the windows delivered were broken and screens damaged. The manager had no idea which were broken and whether or not they have been reordered. 2) A basement window was enlarged without a temporary wall to support the load as quoted. 3) Roof ridge was damaged from being used as a support structure. 4) Siding was skipped on a section of the house. 5) Our brand new decks were craped. 6) Gutters and gutter screens were broken and missing. 7) Cost for fixing dry rot was quoted for $700-1000 became $2100 8) 3 week long project became 10 week project. We had to keep an eye on the work at every step. When we brought up issues with property damage, AEs first response was to deny responsibilities. When we requested issues to be fixed before payments were made. Assurant Exteriors threatened to send their Attorney to collect payments. We had to resolve to shouting matches and got the Better Business Bureau involved before Assurant Exteriors fixed the damages they caused to our property.

We hired them to install flashing for our siding. They failed to nail in many of the flashing, and they began to fall out. We notified them about the issue. They came out when we weren't home and claimed that the metal flashing was just pieces that they left behind, and that nothing was wrong. The flashing continues to fall out. We tried multiple times to call them, and they never returned our calls. Finally my wife texted a picture of flashing falling out. The contacted and said that they would do nothing because our warranty had expired two months ago.

    Superior Exterior Systems
Bill came out to do an inspection on the siding of a home I was selling.  He was very honest with us about the condition of the siding and the needed vs. optional repairs.  I found him to be very personable and honest instead of a salesman type like many other siding companies I have worked with.  I would recommend Superior Exterior Systems to other real estate professionals, family members and friends.

Am in an exposed area at the west end of the Gorge, we suffered a water leak last year and had siding replacements on parts of house. Wanted to ensure that the house was fully sealed for winter after last year's leaks. Looked for a high quality company at reasonable price.

Mike, the owner came out to give quote/bid. I had asked 5 companies to bid because of our large house with a 40 foot reach on a narrow side next to the neighbor's house. Two companies were dropped, either they thought too big of a job or I was concerned about their company ability to give the level of expertise I was seeking. Cost is always a factor, but quality of job was key in our location for long-term investment in our home.

Remaining three companies were all A-list on Angie's and capable of job. Selected Absolute Painting from my impression of the quality of their past work and their approach to bidding on my house. One of three final bids was very high, Absolute Painting was roughly tied with second company so not a selection on price. I think both companies were capable but again went with my impression of who would do best job.

Absolute Painting office was responsive and professional. Work crew did a great job in prepping with some additional overlap power washing in areas that made sense but not listed on house part of job. Painting crew was outstanding, crew leader Antonio is unassuming so took me a couple days to figure out he was in charge. We wanted same colors, lost exact first paint name/company, so Antonio showed me his selections to match our trim to house body and he was dead on, better than my choice as we found out when the job was complete. Absolute met their schedule for completion, incredible clean job site only found one 2- inch piece of blue painter tape on a 5,000 square foot house job.

Great experience from Mike and Absolute Painting team, would highly recommend to anyone and will be looking at them as number one choice to do the interior painting of our house within the next two or three years.

    Rightway Construction, Siding and Repair
We had a wonderful experience with Kevin at Rightway Construction from beginning to end. I had been having difficulties even getting companies to come out and quote re-siding our house without having my husband present, let alone being treated with respect and dignity by the few men that did come out.  Kevin was professional and respectful and did not once doubt or question my role and ability to make any all decisions regarding this project.  There was also no high pressure sales tactics or upsell offers. Kevin was fantastic about communicating with me during the entire process.  He always asked for our preferences BEFORE doing any subjective work and immediately informed us about any problems or delays so that our expectations were kept in line with his performance.  He had attention for detail while also being very laid back and approachable.  Kevin's wife Amy was also on the site working hard everyday and really helping to keep the worksite (our home and property) clean.  They were friendly and cautious with our young children as well as our two dogs.  Kevin checked in with me daily regarding his progress and expectations for the following work day.  I really cannot highlight enough the fabulous communication and the value of it.  Immediately following the siding installation we had a new roof put on and the workers did not even bother to let me know when they arrived or left, so I had to go outside and wait for someone to come down from the roof if I wanted any opportunity to talk to them.  I highly recommend Rightway Construction for siding installation for quality, price, and experience.

Terrible experience. We ordered the job and signed the contract in October 2013. We received an offer of a $150.00 valued in-home estimate of flooring for free, as a courtesy to Sears and quot;valued customers), and set up appt. The representative (salesman, Josh), gave us estimate for carpeting, what we were originally interested in, and we rejected the job because it was higher cost than expected ($14,000. to $15,000 for our -2000 square home. Josh then asked if we wanted to replace our original tile (1996 home). He told us how it would beautify our kitchen, and would be a positive upgrade that would increase the value of our home, and look so much better. We looked at samples of granite and other solid surface samples that were the size of 2and quot; x and quot;2 in the sample book. We agreed on type, color, etc. signed paperwork (mistake), and was told that the installer would make appt. to measure out counters. A week later installer/fabricator came out. As we were close to holidays by then was told that it might not be done right away because they were so busy. We agreed. Salesman said we could drive up to Seattle and quot;if we wanted toand quot; to look at the granite!! We declined to make the long drive. Next contact was when two workers came to install the counter. They demolished the existing tile, brought in granite........was wrong color, not close to what we chose. I immediately called the and quot;project manager, Jeffand quot; at Portland office. He told me to call salesman, Josh to work it out. Called Josh, he said that Jeff should take care of!! Jeff told me that we got what we ordered and nothing could be done. I insisted that they take it out and cancel the contract, it was NOT the right order. I kept getting the run-around and kept being told that there was nothing they could do. After the many phone calls I started emailing to Jeff, with cc to manager John Marsol, to have a record of what was being done, or not done. After many weeks of fighting with several e-mails to the manager, and even the head of the Corporation, which is located in Florida. Only offer to me to resolve this was to make the drive to Seattle and personally pick the color that we had originally ordered. Feeling beaten, we went up there!!!!! Later saw email between manager and head of Corp. to NEVER have the customer go to the granite supplier. A few weeks later (and more calls on my part) the installers came out and installed granite we wanted. Never saw the and quot;boss/ownerand quot; of the installers. I asked the manager of Sears Home Improvement, John Marsol, to please come to our home to look at the finished product, as it was a bad and messy install. Wasn't fit correctly around sink, rough edges everywhere. He declined. People need to know what I found out.......this outfit is NOT SEARS, just umbrelled under the name. These guys are in Oregon, they sub out the work to Herreidconstruction in Wa., they buy all of the granite from Consentino Inc. located in Seatle. This job is so ugly. I've never seen such a lack of customer care and disrespect.

    Rightway Construction, Siding and Repair
Rightway Construction is the best contractor we have ever hired.  We got ten bids for our project from small business to large companies.  Kevin and Amy (husband and wife team) were the only company that did not make me feel bad for the current condition of my home or use scare tactics into getting their business.  Kevin and Amy worked as a team explaining what they would do and who would be doing it (themselves).  They were the most affordable oddly enough and the kindest.  I do want to point out that I have two kids with special needs and they were very careful and kind with them.  Even my plants were not destroyed and I was planning on that one.
They were early and on time every day they were here.  The work was done VERY fast.  They cleaned up after themselves constantly so the work site was always clean and not trashy.  They installed hardie plank siding.  It looks amazing!!!  They went above and beyond.  We even had a slight bee problem and they were even prepared for that.  My home feels brand new.  My neighbors have all been by and loved all the work and were super impressed.  One neighbor is even going to hire them to work on her house.  I can't say enough good things about them.  They are honest and reliable.  Lastly I even got a hand written card in the mail thanking me for the job.  To me that meant a lot.
Would I hire them again?  YES!

A New View Windows & Doors
Everything was done correctly and professionally. Mike replaced the entire solar tube unit, using proper sealing and supports. Everything was completely cleaned up afterward. It works perfectly.
I've used Mike for many previous jobs - a new chimney surround with an added roof and quot;cricketand quot; (raised section) to eliminate leakage, replacing siding (vertical lap cedar - he caulked every seam to prevent water intrusion!), replacing a garage side door, and installing windows (replaced 5, re-installed 2 that someone else had done incorrectly, and installed 2 new ones) - he always does an excellent job and I highly recommend him!
I have more projects for him in the near future, as well.
    My highest recommendation!
