Hauling reviews in Camas

  • I spoke with Gabe last week and he gave me a rough estimate over the phone based on my description of the items I needed hauled away. He scheduled between 12 and 4 today. He asked me to text him photos and a description of the items which I did. Today, the morning of the scheduled service, I texted him to confirm. No response. I called and left a message. No response. I didn't have a good feeling so I called again around 2 pm. The phone rang and rang and didn't even go to voicemail. Needless to say, this company not only did not show up for their scheduled appointment but they didn't even have the courtesy to call to let me know.

  • Nadav and crew expertly split the job over two days - trimming trees/hedges and pruning roses on the first visit and doing total yard clean-up during the second visit. The key characteristics that set this company apart are meticulous attention to detail and delivering on their promises, rain or shine. We are very pleased with the quality of their work and are planning to hire this company again in Spring.

  • Nadav has an in-depth understanding of the plants and trees that he works with. He is very conscientious and customer-oriented. He goes above and beyond his duties to present various options to the customer and treats a yard as if it were his own. On the day of the service, Nadav and his crew arrived on schedule and completed the work slightly ahead of schedule. They were very thorough in cleaning up the debris. Nadav also made suggestions to improve the quality of the yard (new sod on the front, a fresh layer of bark-dust, new deck boards). We are looking forward to hiring his team for future work.

  • I was overcharged, they never contacted me to set up a date, I had to call them, I had paid the Angies List Price of $89 removal of 2 cu. yds , it turned out to be 4 cu yds. They gave me $25 off of $250, so I paid $225, but did not take of the $89, I had to call the office and ask for the refund of the Angies List Price paid, he gave me a credit, minis the $25, so I ended up paying a total of $250. for the 4 cu yds of junk. I will never use them again.

  • They did an outstanding job. I worked myself for a landscaper in the midwest so I feel I know outstanding work from good or average work & in my honest opinion these guys were great!!!! I highly reccomend them to anyone. The owner was very helpful in showing me things that may also need done but he was not at all pushy or insistent. He made very good suggestions when I asked & explained why some things were better left till later or even next year so I could see how they looked this summer (I have not lived in this house through a summer yet)  I asked many questions about my yard & the possibilities with it & I found him to be extrememly helpful and forthright with all his answers. I not only recomend him to others I fully intend to use him again in the future.  This business get a 10 out of 10.

  • I really wish I could give Stand Up Guys all A's. The crew showed up about 90 minutes later than scheduled, but were very conscientious about calling ahead to let me know their ETA and so that part was no real problem at all. Two guys arrived and came down to look into my crawl space which is what I needed to have cleaned out as best as possible. Jay looked inside and admittedly wasn't very excited about the job, but gave me an estimate and got to work. I was a little surprised that they didn't have much in the way of equipment, so perhaps in my email requesting the work I was unclear. They were, however, able to borrow some flashlights, dustpan, and safety helmet from me to get going on the job.
At this point I have to applaud them for their courage. My house is an old house that we'd just recently moved into. The crawl contained all the debris accumulated over 50 years. The guys worked very hard for upwards of two hours hauling bucket after bucket and many pipes and boards out of there. Looking inside from the access point, the change in appearance was incredible. Whereas before it was foreboding and filled with junk it now appeared very clear and approachable. I thought to myself it was the best money I'd ever spent! The same work would have taken my wife and I a few days to complete, we would've had to rent a truck and pay for the disposal. It is for this reason that I would definitely hire these guys again and ultimately recommend them.
My only reason to knock them down a peg is that I went in there after they left and noticed that a good 1/5th of the area was left untouched. This is an area that is furthest from the access point, and not only that but the space is very narrow and difficult to work in. However, I thought it was not quite so "stand up" of them to just avoid this whole section. I think that perhaps they were spent physically or mentally, or perhaps realized that the project would take longer and cost more. I don't know what it might have been because they passed it off as "job complete" and I took their word. I would have been more than willing to pay more and have them return another day to complete the job if that's what they deemed appropriate. The fact that they passed off the project as complete bothered me a bit.
All in all, though, I would still recommend them because I admired the very hard work that they did and appreciated the reasonable price they charged.

  • Very satisfied.  Showed up promptly to take away my poorly estimated volume of yard debris. Originally thought it was less than 10 cubic yards of debris and thus had to reschedule for the next day so a larger truck could be brought in.  They did a great job and was very prompt.  I wasn't available to see them haul the trash away, but upon coming home from work, I was pleasantly surprised at how good of a job was done.

  • I originally called Joel to get an estimate on the cost of repairing cracked concrete under a porch column.  He called me back the same day (while standing in my yard) to tell me that the concrete was fine and not at risk of failing.  The only issue was if the look of the crack bothered me.  He said if I wanted to, I could just get filler at the hardware store.  He said he wanted to make sure I didn't let anyone else tell me that it was a problem and had to be fixed.
I appreciated his honesty and response so much that when I decided to have my backyard patio extended, Joel was the first person I called. When he was preparing the estimate, I happened to mention that I might have a connecting sidewalk poured next summer.  Joel told me that for the short length of sidewalk, it would cost quite a bit more to have it done separately.  He said it would only cost about $400 to have it done at the same time as the patio since the concrete truck would already be there.
Shortly after I accepted his estimate, he had people out leveling the area, putting in forms, sealing off part of my irrigation system and hauling in a gravel bed.  Bad weather did cause a bit of a delay in pouring the concrete but Joel kept me in the loop on the schedule and then did exactly what he said he would do.  It was very helpful that he let me know the timing frequently via text msg while we were waiting for the weather to improve.  This allowed me to plan so my dogs would not be in his way.
Both the finished patio and the sidewalk are exactly the shape I wanted.  Joel filled the crack in the front patio that I had originally called him about for no charge.  He also hauled away extra yard debris from a separate project (as I do not have a truck).
I would definitely call Joel again if I have additional concrete work.

  • Great experience! They arrived exactly at the appointment time, gave an estimate and got right to work. In a flash everything was loaded and my house and yard were left clean and tidy. Highly recommend!

  • He was very flexible. I had to change the time twice and it was not a problem. Very nice guy - was in and out in short order and hauled a variety of stuff (all shapes, sizes and conditions). We'll use him again to remove yard debris.
