    It was an insurance job. I would have to say an A for the auto body because they all use the same software. So, I would presume that if I had taken it to any other auto body, it would've been approximately the same price. Even though I have used them before on some very minor things. The reason why I went to them is because our insurance adjuster said they do great work. Our insurance adjuster said yeah, Mackin's is great. The guy who is the manager of that particular shop, or that particular branch, he called me every single day with an update on the progress. They had a tough time sourcing the part, and he called me every single day and kept me completely up to date. It went longer than it was supposed to because they were having a difficult time finding parts. They updated me every single day. That's why they've been in business since 1945, it's family owned with eight branches. Plus, the fact that their auto body shops don't look like dumps like they've been wrestling hulks all over the place or something.

    LEIF'S AUTO COLLISION CENTERS
    Warning: Do not trust Leif's with your vehicle's repairs!

    I took my vehicle (a little over 1 year old) to Leif's Auto Collision Center in Tigard, Oregon, after hearing their advertisements claiming to repair damaged vehicles to their "pre-loss" state, offer loaner vehicles during the entire repair process, and their two-year repair work guarantee. During the entire time that my car was in Leif's possession, I was never offered a loaner vehicle (and had to plea with the insurance company to pay for a rental vehicle). Furthermore, when Leif's was done with the repairs, they called me down to Tigard to pick up my vehicle (mind you I live in Washington state, and they have location around 20 miles from my home that they could have towed my car to instead). I inspected my vehicle, and was extremely disappointed with the repair work that was done. My side mirror, which was hit and damaged was not repaired, broken clips inside the door were not replaced, the seam seal that goes inside the door looked as if it was smudged on and left to dry, the window was making an awful screeching noise when it was rolled down, the door itself would vibrate and make a hollow noise when closed, and finally there was a gap between my dashboard and door. After many unsuccessful attempts to get Leif's to correct their poor repair work on my vehicle, I gave up. Now a little over a year later, I was fed up with my new car being repaired so poorly, and decided to give Leif's another chance to fix their work (under the two year warranty). I brought my vehicle down to the Tigard location, and they agreed that the work was poor and agreed to fix it. When they were done I inspected my vehicle and was partly satisfied. However, one main issue I had with my vehicle was the gap between the door and dashboard that was not fixed. After several back and forth trips to inspect my vehicle, the gap was never repaired. On the last attempt to have the gap closed, or even narrowed, my car was taken to Tigard. After about four days of my vehicle being in possession of Leif's they decided to give me a call and state that they were "washing their hands of my case," and that, "there was nothing they could do about the door gap". I requested to speak to a supervisor, to which I was given a response of a solid "no". The more telephone conversations occurred, the more hostile and condescending the Leif's employees were towards me (to the point where they refused to transfer me to a manager, and even hung on me). Not exactly the epitome of customer service. Their guarantees fell short, and their advertisement claims were not met. I would not recommend Leif's Auto Collision Center to anyone needed quality workmanship on their damaged vehicle.

    Side note: just for your information, Alex and his supervisor Mark, are the two employees who thought it was okay to speak to a customer on a condescending manner, refused to transfer me to their supervisors, AND hung up on me.

    To top it all off, when I picked up my vehicle for the last time I noticed that they had used about twenty miles worth of gas. What a joke!!

    Matt was very personable and friendly and made me feel that this rather small job was as important to him as any larger job. He found the code and got what was needed to match the color correctly even though it was a difficult and more expensive paint.  Had me leave a small painted piece from the new bike to ensure the mixture matched the original.  Excellent job and very reasonable cost. Even had a small bottle of touch up paint left for me.

    The dent was totally fixed. They were very timely, friendly, and courteous. It was very convenient that they were able to come to my house while I was gone and they were very quick with their responsiveness.

    Lew was very professional and friendly. He gave me an estimate within 10 minutes of arriving. The markup on the new bumper cover was rather high, so I went to a wrecking yard and got a new one for 1/2 the price quoted at Westlie. Lew was very nice about my bringing in my own body part instead of buying from him. He had no problem with it, and primered, painted and installed it and did a great job.

    On the positive side the receptionist and estimator were professional. The damage itself was repaired in what appears to be good fashion. They worked well with my insurance company and the rental car company. However! It took almost two weeks to get our car back and it appeared that they painted over WAY too much area for the damage and there were bad raised areas that looked like paint sprayed on top of paint that were rough and very visible. Pretty unhappy with the paint job. Unhappy that it took two entire weeks and they did not do a great job of keeping us informed - they kept dragging it on longer and longer and maybe they rushed it out the door before polishing up the paint job or something. I need to take it back to them and see if they can fix it up better, but I shouldn't have to do that. I would try another place before going to Alpine again.

    AFTER TAKING CAR IN TO HAVE DENT ON FENDER REPAIRED, THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED 1 1/2 DAYS EARLIER THAN PROMISED. THE PRICE DID NOT CHANGE AND WORK PERFORMED LOOKED GREAT, COULDN'T TELL WHERE THE DENT WAS.

    THEY HAVE HAD THE TRUCK ALMOST A YEAR. I WAS HOPING TO HAVE IT AT LEAST BY JUNE-EARLY JULY SO I COULD GO TO SOME CAR SHOWS BEFORE HOT AUGUST NIGHTS. :( I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE TRUCK TO BE FINISHED.
