  • Over a year after initial installation of new lawn our "showcase" lawn is full or dry patches, and we're not talking little patches here and there, we're talking large areas extending yards long and feet wide. Malone's advice, throw down more seed and water, which we've already done on multiple occasions. Malone's idea of a lawn installation is arrate the old lawn, about 9 yards of dirt tossed atound by a couple of laborers who also topped off the dirt wth a little sand before throwing around some grass seed. I've discussed the matter with Malone's personnel, showed their rep the yard and all he did was ask if we've been watering. When I pointed out that all the other gardens, plants and yard sections were green and verdant, he admitted he knew this past year has been the wettest on record and promised they'd get back to me. That was a month ago. My laen still looks like crap, I'm out $7000, and my just installed landscape berm is now revealing itself to be grossly over-planted and disheveled in appearance - wr've yet to receive guidance as the care and maintenance of the plants Malone's installed. I got the pond repaired this year by a different company for an additional $1,500. Malone's kept the $600 I paid them a year ago last March even though their "guy" didn't solve the problem.

  • I had put in a excellent review on June 10th 2015 with Rainier Handyman services for James,he had worked on landscaping from 5-31-15 thru 6-27-2015 and did excellent work and I was very pleased! I also had put in that he was then going to continue from there to projects inside my home as I wanted to try and get my home up for this spring to sell..James said he could get them done by then. But since then he hasn't come thru at all and has continued to give me excuses and I always said I understood... But now we are in Jan. and still he has not started on any of my projects....and the last straw was James sending me pictures of the remodel he is just finishing! I was to have James from summer on and we'd agreed I was his until spring.. I feel he took advantage of me in putting other projects before mine since he had promised I'd be he would start on mine.... When I called it on him after seeing the pictures he said that I was somehow mistaken.... But that isn't true and James and I both know what the agreement was and now I have wasted so much time on trying to wait and be pleasant and understanding of all his excuses... So now I have to start over getting bids etc. My last comment on June 10th was I was happy that I tried using Angie's not so sure

  • Worst ever with a contractor ever.  I have built 2 homes and managed the subcontractors and have never been so disappointed.  Initially, the phone call to set up the job from the owner sounded professional.  I become concerned when I called two days ahead of my scheduled appointment to verify the work was to be done on a Holiday.  To my surprise he told me he had forgotten about me and had given his crew the day off.  I was then informed he may be able to come out on the 3rd, then told me it would be nice to give his crew a little extra money for the long weekend if I pay in cash.

    I said no problem, and his crew of college students working the summer showed up and were very helpful and did what appeared to be a good job.  The problems started when a third of my lawn went south during the excessive heat.  I called and was promised on municipal occasions he would call me back but only after 3 attempts and messages left he would be out to fix it.  He agreed he had guaranteed his work and promised to fix it.

    As of today, he continues to duck my calls.  I am left with warning others and taking him (If still in Business)  to small claims court.  I do not mind hiring another person or spend more money than its worth to fix the problem, but I do not like it when a underhanded contractor thinks he can get away with it.

    On August 18, 2015, the company came out and finished the job.

  • This was an Angie's List special for 120 sq. ft. of stone patio for $1349.00 by Full Throttle Landscaping. Prepared the sight, laid a gravel base filling low spots with rocks then installed 120 sq. ft. of gray roman pavers; 272 blocks each individually fitted and leveled. Swept sand into the cracks between blocks and finished by installing 22 ft. of edging. Patio was tight and sturdy at completion. As it was an extension doubling the size of my concrete aggregate patio, it was built to the exact same level and complimented the original beautifully. Took a crew of 4 about 4 hours of work to start and finish. Great guys, worked well together. Only glitch was in getting the job scheduled. Contracted the job on 4/20/15 with owner Mark who cautioned me that he had taken a lot of jobs and it would be a few months to get to mine. I told him I needed it by mid July and he agreed to it on the contract. In June I began to contact him to set something up. He always called me in a timely way but was unable to fit me in for a while. In early July I pushed it and Mark gave me a date of July 23 which was when I would already have family in town for a reunion fully utilizing the back yard. On July 13 Mark told me he might be able to have a crew available the next day which he called to confirm that evening. On the 14th, they came when expected and in 4 hours, I had my patio. In spite of some anguish in the back and forth, Mark was good to his word and I am ready for my family gathering.

  • The estimate was done quickly and once I coordinated with my neighbor, the crew was scheduled to come out shortly thereafter.  They arrived on time and were very polite and professional.  They made short work of getting the tree down and the limbs chipped up and haiuled away.  I kept the wood and the rounds from the tree were cut to 18" as I requested with no issues whatsoever.  The stump was ground down a week later due to machine availability.
    The people at Larson Logging as very polite, very professional, and very focused on satisfying the customer.  I highly recommend them.

  • Steve respond quickly to my calls. Kept me informed of a slight change in scheduling. They were punctual. He and his partner were professional and kind. They did a great job of making sure no branches were left on the road or blocking the driveway.

  • Dave provides outstanding seasonal lawn and yard spray.  Excellent service and dependable.  Comes like clockwork!   Moss control, fertilizer, etc.  Very reasonable cost.   He has also provided ad hoc services as needed.  Outstanding service.

  • The plan that he came up with not satisfactory, and I thought that he was expensive. He did not account in the plan what was already there. He was a nice guy to work with, but I was not impressed with the plan. He got the plan back to me in about a week after the consultation. The scheduling was fine.
