    Swift, Dr. J David
I consider Dr. Swift to be the best internal medicine physician in Kitsap County. I have been one of his patients for more than 20 years.  In that time he has made life-saving diagnoses for cancer and pneumonia, supported me in recovery from same, as well as treating me through menopause, personal turmoil, and transition into my senior years.  He always listens and finds resolutions to my concerns.  He readily makes referrals to other specialists when appropriate.  These are attributes that make him an excellent physician and a sincere friend to his patients.

    Swift, Dr. J David
I am going back today to see him.  I have been seeing him for about 10 years.  He finds out the answer if he doesn’t have the answer.  He is very good about referring at any time if there is need for extra expertise.  I am very pleased with him.  His staff is very friendly.  Most of them have been there all the time.  A couple of them have left and come back to him.  They are always very helpful.  The office environment is very nice.  Their communication is very good.

Went  fine ( except for long waiting times), until I mentioned that after 3 appointments with similar tests I was concerned about costs and was paranoid about  maybe  going medically bankruptcy.  This fear came out as I was a Field Rep for Puget Souind Energy and kept running into families who had gone bankrupt due to accumulated high medical bills; wasn't sure how high my bills were yet..
This apparently upset the doctor and he dropped me like a hot potatoe and scheduled my next appointmen for March 1, 2014.
Still with a very enlarged prostrate at the time, that set me up for  a likely visit to the very expensive Harrison Hostpital Emer-
gency room again.  I had to stay up all night trying to find a way to urinate so I could avoid the emergency room.  Somehow I found a way to get through that the next 3 days.  After that  the swelling of my prostrate went down enough that I was basically able to relieve myself okay..
At least I did find out I didn't have cancer. No actual bill yet.

    Swift, Dr. J David
I am 63 years old and I have been a patient of Dr. J. David Swift for almost 18 years.  He has always been very professional and knowledgeable in addressing my concerns and answering my questions.  Dr. Swift never makes me feel like a 'number' or that he is rushing me through to get on with his day.  I have never had a doctor who seems to make time stand still when I am in his office.  He makes all of his patients feel as though they are the only one he has to see that day; but of course, that isn't true.
At this particular appointment, Dr. Swift was running a bit behind because one of his earlier patients had a medical issue that required special attention.  When those of us in the waiting room had been waiting about 25 minutes, Dr. Swift came out personally to the waiting room to check and make sure if any of us were in a hurry or had something urgent that needed attention, while explaining that there was an unforeseen delay in getting each of us back to an exam room.  I appreciated that personal attention and consideration for our time.
A year ago, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.  Dr. Swift took great care in explaining all of the possible courses of treatment and he helped me understand how to do the blood tests by myself.  Then he took great care to explain the importance of nutrition and exercise and referred me to a dietitian and nutritionist who could further help me learn to control my Diabetes with diet and exercise.  Six months after my diagnosis, I had lost 55 pounds and no longer required prescription medication for my Diabetes.  I am now in much better physical shape and my outlook on life is greatly improved.  Dr. Swift's commitment to health and nutrition and our ability to prevent serious disease through diet and exercise is not just 'so much talk'.  He lives his own life with this example and is willing to help his patients do the same.
Dr. Swift has not only treated me for 18 years, but he is also my husband's doctor and my adult son's doctor.  Dr. Swift was also my Mother-in-Law's doctor.  He helped her in her end stages of life with compassion and kindness.  I would recommend Dr. Swift to anyone who is seeking personalized medical care.  His medical staff is also very efficient and personable.  I always enjoy going to his office.

Gent, Dr. David - Kitsap Foot & Ankle Clinic
Dr. Gent and his office staff are just phenomenal! I thought that I had a toe fungus, but Dr. Gent determined that the problem was simply caused by years of wearing high heels. He made me feel so comfortable. I no longer want to hide my toes and even got a pedicure and new sandals. He is so good! He also was able to successfully treat my daughter who has no joints in her foot. Other doctors had given her no hope and told her she would need to be in a wheelchair. I can't begin to express how happy I am with him!

The first doctor that they assigned to us was terrible. He was so bad and so awful. After four hours in the hospital, I asked for another doctor. Then they sent us to Dr. Lee and he was wonderful. We have been seeing him regularly for the past two years.

I have to go and find him but these guys are hard to find anyway. He and his staff are excellent. I have needed those specially designed shoes for most of my life. It is very hard to find people who are very skilled at it. There is shoe guy next door and they work together. They are excellent. If one has a messed up feet, this is the place in Seattle to go. He is so good. They are meticulous, careful and extremely knowledgeable about their craft. He doesn't come to my house and so I have to go there. The parking is terrible. They do a really good job but they are expensive. I spend $800 on my shoes every year when I need new pair of shoes. His price is probably higher than the companies of the same sort. But the outcome is so much better that I don't think that he is higher at all. He works really hard to figure out things fit onto my feet.

I get along well with my doctor and he takes good care of me. The staff is excellent and efficient. There are sometimes internal problems. They do miss paper work and stuff quite frequently. They are personable. Their follow-up is very good. My doctor calls me the next day if he gets a report from another doctor or if there is any problem. He called me the next day really quick and he knew almost before I did what the results were from some tests. They make sure that I get my preventive care stuff done. I am pretty hard on healthcare providers because I am a registered nurse and I am disabled. I have been treated really badly over the years. These people don't do too bad compared to others. I still think that they should a whole lot more for somebody with a chronic disability. Their availability is excellent. I can get an appointment almost anytime. They are open from 8 o'clock in the morning till 7 o'clock at night; so they have great hours.

I would give him the highest marks because not only is he very highly skilled as a doctor and a surgeon, he is very personable. He treats you with total care as if you are the only thing on his mind and takes his time. I felt that I was in wonderful hands going into surgery. I was completely trusting of him and my surgery came out great. If he had a brother I would marry him!

The waiting room is very pleasant and the staff is very polite. When an agency runs well and it looks effortless you know they're doing a great job. I just can't say enough about him and his staff.

I'm satisfied with the work they've done. They helped me regain some energy. Their availability, communication, and billing are good. Their punctuality, bedside manner, and treatment are great. The office environment and staff friendliness are great as well. I will continue to see them in the future.
