Our project was a home repair project. We contacted Paul Haugen Construction ,LLC, and met with Jared Lord the company owner. Based upon construction plans, he identified the work that needed to be completed and once we agreed to the work prepared a contract for the project to complete it in a timely manner. Jared agreed to serve as our General contractor on the project. The parameters for the project were to replace our current lower patio with a reinforced concrete slab, reconstruct the support structure that sat on the patios slab and supported an upper porch/ deck, replace a cathedral window wall, and replace the existing porch/deck railing and construct in its place a stainless wire/cedar railing system. The existing lower concrete patio had cracked which caused movement in the supports f9r the overall porch/deck support structure to move which in turn caused the glass window wall next to the upper porch/deck to crack. They needed to realign and replace the main window mullions holding large window panes, then work with the commercial glass subcontractor to ensure accurate pricing, ordering, and installation. Once structural plans for the project were completed by a structural engineer, we reviewed the Plans with the contractor. He spent a good deal of time reviewing the project plans with us to indicate how he would proceed with the project, making sure we understood the required work. Most importantly he explained how he and his crew would coordinate with us, and the work his team would perform, and the work to performed by the subcontractors. He went over the payment process and how he would make payment requests at several stages in the project. Once they started, we met his crew who were excellent to work with and kept us informed about the work as they went along. They also kept us informed all along the project and about any changes. The crew was very friendly and went out of their way to answer any questions we had. When on the job site they informed us of and any delays that we might expect. Jared also worked with our Insurance company to ensure the work met insurance requirement for covered portions of the work. We are very satisfied with the results of the project which remained within budget and gave our home more structural integrity and significantly improved the appearance ofvb the house. We have had nothing but compliments about the project. I would recommend Jareds company to anyone who needed residential remodel or repair work. Total Project cost : $ 45,000.00

Phillip did a fabulous job and for a more than a fair price. He had baled us out once before on a botched kitchen cabinet job and Phillip did an awesome job. He is a little hard to get ahold of but that is because he does such a good job and his price is overly reasonable such that he is very popular to hire.

We are very satisfied with the results. Beau was very professional throughout this project--from our first meeting through the final QC check. The entire bathroom was completely updated, and is fully functional. The finishing details are top notch! I was especially impressed by the drywall work. This project included repairing a small leak that had affected the downstairs ceiling. The drywall repair is seamless and unnoticeable. JC Painting also worked with us to assist us in making cost-effective and attractive choices regarding project supplies.

They had a project manager out here everyday checking on things and making sure everything was going right. I really liked them. Heather, the project manager person was great. Any little thing that needed to be done, she was doing it right away. There was no worries on  our account. When they tear your house apart, you kinda get worried a little bit.  We went with them and did not check out anyone else. Heather was out here everyday, checking on things making sure things were getting done.

I called him 3 times. Set-up an appointment. I called the morning of the appointment like he asked to come earlier, and said he wasn't coming at all, claimed he was sick and would get back to me. Waited 6 days and called him back. Said he forgot. Came out for the estimate 5 days later. Measured and took my drawing, said he get me an estimate. It has been 12 days (May 10th) since without a call or an estimate. Would never have him out again.

I just have to say, that Paul Hougen construction is simply the best. He was one of three bids, and he was the only one on time, the most professional, and had great compassion. He went above and beyond what was expected. I would highly recommend him to anyone. As for our family goes, we will use his services for years to come.

Everything went perfectly. After several months of use, we still love how good everything looks and works, and we will keep on loving it until we move out someday far in the future. Paul's workers are wonderful people, experienced, with many skills. They like working with Paul and they stay with him, so he has a great team. All of the intricate work of installing tiling, new tub enclosures, building a new and insulated wall between the bathrooms, and finally painting the bathrooms, was done with great skill and artistry. Next, all of our old pressboard siding was replaced with solid, heavy siding, and every piece was perfectly cut. We can't find any spots that don't fit or join together perfectly. For the final exterior painting, they used 18 gallons of paint - a very thick coat for a 1500 sq. ft. house. The deck went together perfectly. I'd wanted wood, because I didn't like the looks of composite boards, but Paul showed me samples of new products that look great, and now we have a deck that I'll never have to stain or paint. One tip: as with all builders, outline a thorough idea of what you'd like in design and materials before you meet with Paul for an estimate. He can't make those decisions for you, and you need to know what kind of countertop material you want, for instance, plus a pretty clear idea of everything you want done. Paul can take it from there, and give suggestions and bring samples, but he can't be your interior decorator. If you're having lots of work done, you might want to hire a decorator first to make color and layout suggestions. I recommend Paul Haugen Construction to everyone on earth! The work gets done beautifully, and he and his friendly workers are a pleasure to have around the house. Now I'll only call Paul for construction work.

Alec managed the whole project very well and coordinated movement of alarm system with ADT without me having to be present. He hauled away old appliances to habitat for humanity and picked up ther appliances that I had ordered from the store and installed and setup everything. They even worked overnight to complete the project overnight.

Our kitchen remodel was left unfinished by the original carpenter.  So we had to have 14 cabinet doors/drawer fronts remanufactured by Ruckmans in Puyallup ... Phillip installed them.  Another part of the wood had to have the existing finish removed and done over again, which he did.  And we had ended up with a garbage cabinet that was inefficient and not what we had wanted ... Phillip installed a modern efficient one.
All of his work was done with great care and looked wonderful after he was done.  We are very pleased.
Because Phillip had other obligations, we did have to wait quite a while before he was able to take care of us.  But the wait was all very worth it.

Deck railing was failing and unsafe. The overall deck was old, tired and had an odd step down to a slightly lower level that was an entirely different decking material.  He replaced both levels making it one consistent Trex decking material as well as all one level. He also fixed the railing to incorporate my existing glass panels.  Throughout this process he and his team corrected the excessive deck slope from the house, making it a beautiful, sturdy, first class deck that I am thrilled with!

I am your 'A-Typical' customer, in fact a stickler for details.  Half way through the construction I would come up with a design idea or two,,,,, OK maybe three.  Lee would roll with these suggestions and work with me to make them happen.  In fact creating a stunning 16foot natural cedar bench along one side of the deck. Changing my deck into a 'one of a kind'.

There is not a lot of chit chat from Lee and his team, because they are there to work.....how refreshing!  He was punctual, polite and accomplished the job in the time line he said it would take.

All an all, I think he walks on water.....but don't tell him I said so! (smiles). I would highly recommend his company.
