Asbestos Removal reviews in Bothell

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Jason and his team were professional and efficient. The work was done thoroughly and on time. There was minimal damage to the ceiling and no other damage to the walls or trim. They removed the ceiling fixtures and arranged them neatly in the garage. I am happy that I selected Protech to do this work.

  • They were able to schedule us right away once the 10 day waiting notification period was over. The team brought cardboard to protect our hardwoods and actually left them cleaner than when they started work. Tony had warned us about some damage to the ceiling as part of the process, but the damage was minimal. They were in and out in less than 3 days and the house feels much lighter and taller. All in all, we're very happy.

  • All New Again provided water damage mitigation services including drying, mold removal, and removal of building materials affected by water damage. They coordinated with an asbestos abatement contractor and crawlspace put-back contractor on my behalf.? All New Again was referred to me by Apollo Plumbing while repairing a failed hot water line in my crawlspace. Everyone working with All New Again was extremely knowledgeable in their areas of expertise and helped me through what would normally be a very unpleasant experience. All of their technicians are certified and tend to specialize in particular areas of the mitigation process, any questions I had could be answered expertly and work was performed at very high standards. Pavlo, Joey B., Joey N., Sean, Aaron, Jared, and John Harris were all very friendly, professional, and took the time to explain all aspects of the work they performed. I have even began the process of hiring them for some HVAC upgrades based on my experience with Mr. Harris. I would recommend this outfit to anyone who needs water damage mitigation services or any of the other services they perform. The company appears to be trying to do as much vertical integration of their services as possible and it results in a smoother and more uniform customer experience. All of their employees seem to truly love their jobs and want to work for this company, which is rare and wonderful to see.

  • I recently purchased a house with popcorn ceilings that I want replaced with smooth ceilings. As everyone knows, popcorn ceilings are notorious for containing asbestos and that finding out requires lab testing. There are two choices to accomplish this: Pay an asbestos abatement contractor to take and test the samples at $65-$75 each or follow the guidelines documented by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, take the samples yourself and then have them tested.
Note: Since the area containing popcorn ceilings in my house is less than 1000 square feet, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency only requires three random samples.
After a quick call I found out that NVL charges $35 per sample with a 24 hour turnaround time. Motivated to save a few bucks, I took the samples and brought them in. To save a bit more money, I asked the technician to test samples until he either found asbestos or
ran out. My logic was that if one sample came back positive, I would either have to abate the popcorn myself—not something I want to do—or hire an Land I licensed contractor to abate it for me. I’m opting to hire someone; it’s not cheap, but it’s the right way to do it. Unfortunately, the technician found asbestos in the first sample. Fortunately, It only cost me $35 to find out instead of the $195-$225 an abatement contractor would have charged. I should also mention that it took less than 24 hours to get my results. I brought them in just after 1 PM and by 8 AM the next morning I had the report.

  • The bid was competitive with others we solicited for asbestos removal--they are all expensive.
We needed the work done in a particular timeframe, that they could not meet. We elected to go with another contractor.
    - James S.
  • Team established a clean area for entry and exit from the rooms with asbestos.  The removal was done quickly and efficiently.
Asbestos removal is expensive, and this service certainly was, but we have no complaints about the quality of the service.  We needed the work to be done quickly so that we could bring in another contractor.  They started on time and finished a day early.
We could not have asked for more.
    - James S.
  • They were responsive throughout the bidding and removal process and did
an excellent job. They were the most expensive of the three
contractors we received quotes from but were also the most professional.
I would use them again and would recommend them to a friend.

  • Ed the gentleman who came to give me an estimate was open, informative and professional. I had done a lot of research and he respected my questions. I got 3 quotes. His was not the cheapest but I had confidence that they hired qualified people and would try to protect my beautiful paneling that I have hand refinished recentily. It took several hours. The smell was sicky sweet but went away after 3 days of fans and open windows. I do have more scratches on my beautiful paneling. I imagine they tried very hard not to scratch the walls but it is disappointing. It is labor intensive work and it is a very large room. They did a very good job of leveling the residue on the 1928 cement floor.

I would not have choosen the other companies and would use them again if I needed abateemt services.

  • Called company for estimate. Came to home as scheduled and provided quote. Cost estimate was on high-side compared to others, but not out of line. Chose this company because of thoroughness in answering questions. Contract written 11/25 last year and work done on 12/02. Both estimator and set-up crew were professional. I examined prep work and it looked good. (Some bent metal and missing screws to attachment hardware for a light/fan removed from hallway. Fixed it myself. ) Crew did careful job of removing texture from ceilings with minimal damage to sheetrock. They vacuumed out recessed ceiling light fixture hardware. Walls, woodwork and floors showed no signs of abuse.
