Hired for general lawn care, weeding, blowing of leaves (every 2 week service), as well as to do some "extra" work twice a year (trim trees, trim hedges), plus extra cleanup jobs as needed billed hourly.
First off - positive things about Kand B: 1. No fixed contract required. Work billed as provided. I appreciate this highly. 2. Both owners and their workers were (at least initially) very friendly and approachable Provider came to house for work 3 times. First time, they didn't complete all work as discussed - they did mow our lawn, but failed to blow away leaves from yard, nor did they do any weeding as discussed when initially hiring them. Called company immediately - people came back about 1 hour later and and quot;finishedand quot;. Quality of work after return trip was reasonable, though a few minor issues remained. Was satisfied as they were responsive, and trying to work with us. Second visit went better - work was completed, yard looked reasonably good, with a few minor issues. After second visit (2 weeks later), called provider to ask if they would make sure to remove mushrooms left/missed in yard and barked areas from first two visits, and in general, make sure that was done in the future. Also scheduled and quot;special workand quot; to be done. Agreed that, at next visit, they'd do the hedge and tree trimming, as well as a special, second trip for yard cleanup (to be billed hourly). Cleanup schedule was done to happen prior to some special events at our house. On third visit, was told when they arrived that they wouldn't have time to do the trimming (as agreed previously), and would do it at a later time. Discussed how we'd like our trees trimmed, as well as details of the extra landscaping cleanup we wanted done with the workers while they were there. When asking questions, such as and quot;when is a good time to trim this plant backand quot;, the workers were not knowledgeable - and quot;I don't knowand quot; was the typical response to any question. Called company as I was concerned work wasn't being done when original expected, was told the trimming was being rescheduled for the following week. The following week, came home after the work was supposed to be done. They hadn't been there. Called company - was told that they no longer wanted us as a customer. Left us in a complete bind, as they never contacted us, and didn't provide any notice. Was told by provider that expectations were too high - though we only wanted to have work done as agreed initially. Company displayed a gross lack of professionalism. There was never any attempt to discuss the issue with us directly - we were always told things would be taken care of and would be handled. Found out we weren't going to be serviced only by calling company after they failed to show.
