AMNichols DesignMy contact with Mark was somewhat limited because he was the junior architect on the team that built my house, but I had multiple interactions with him in that capacity. I enjoyed working with Mark. He is smart and conscientious and seemed consistently prepared with the tasks that he had been asked to do. Primarily, Mark helped us out with visualizing the design of our home and guiding us through the permitting process.- William B.

DDC2 LLCI was worried when I had to tell show them how to run the screws in to the proper depth. They got that right and hung the sheet rock fine after that. When the taping began they used the wrong tape many places. They put on too much mud - so much that they sanded for days, and the cracks wouldn't stop coming up. It was to be a smooth wall finish that they could not achieve - but the tried. They used 3-4 times the material needed, and then charged me double if they picked it up (but claimed I would get there discount*). No clean up, too slow. Nice guys but only one guy in the crew of 4 was skilled at the finish work. The excuses started to fly and I let them go. Nice guys, poor quality.- William S.

AADAM LELAND HOMES INCAdam and his team are very responsive in fixing any flaws or defects.
Most of the problems I had when we first moved in were very minor flaws.
Also five years after owning the house, we had a problem with the drainage in our backyard and Adam was willing to help us fix it but we insisted in covering half the costs. If I was planning to build/buy another house, I would definitely look at Adam Leland.
Oh, Adam is the heart and Julie is the money person ... their price is not cheap.

ANEW BEGINNING CONSTRUCTIONVictor and the NB Construction crew are awesome. They are very focused on quality and with only very minor exceptions did an amazing job. We brought a design and approved building permit to the project but with a lot of loose ends and, as happens in building projects, a few surprises once construction got started. NB was creative and flexible in adapting to the surprises and dealing with loose ends. We're thrilled with the results and wouldn't hesitate to hire NB again or recommend them to others.

CFAIRBANK CONSTRUCTION COWe initially contacted them mid-February, and spent a fair amount of effort working out a scope of work (generally, getting responses in a week at best), until in mid April they finally bailed and referred us to someone else.

BDME CONSTRUCTION INCOn the plus side, we had a tight schedule to move in - about an 8 week timeline for them, over the new year/holidays, and the great bulk of the work was done on time. We had no trouble moving in when we needed to, the things not yet complete were all livable. They do quality, high-end homes and they're certainly capable of good things.
However, in our experience, it often took 2 or 3 tries to get things right, and that drove up costs quite a bit. Generally, their painters were excellent, their in-house workers were great, flooring was fine, millwork was good. Some subs were not good - framing had to be re-done, electricians screwed up several times in costly ways, their drywall guys had to re-do several patches, cabinets were slow.
There were a number of management mis-steps. eg, barn doors with a known 12 week lead time weren't even ordered until after almost everything was done; and then they had forgotten to add proper blocking to support them when they had opened up the relevant wall earlier. The kitchen hood install had numerous issues from initially overlooking a city code requirement, and then mounting it higher than we specified. They were noticeably less responsive after the bulk of the work was done (and monthly invoices for them paid up).
Overall, there were only a few things that weren't feasibly fixable, so for the most part we're happy with the final results. It ended up being some 10% over estimate, and dragged on about 6 months (though 3 months of that was waiting for material orders).

DModern Shelter LLCThe project started off fine, but ended up over 6 months late, over budget and incomplete. We have had to hire new contractors at significant added expense to rectify the many defects in Modern Shelter's work. Under no circumstances would we hire this company again for anything.

ATrilogy ConstructionI cannot recommend this company highly enough. I would have written that in caps but it would look like I was screaming.
Conor and Taylor are reliable, honest, responsible and conscientious. I don't know a lot about construction, but I am very, very pleased with the work they have done for me. My friends who know construction (one is a contractor in another state) have been astounded by the incredible job Trilogy has done here. Well built, thought-out and made to last. I like the fact that they are neat and clean up after themselves. My house and property look terrific. I won't ever have anyone else do work here for me.
I encourage you to get in touch with them for an estimate.

ATrilogy ConstructionThis was the first time we hired trilogy on a personal reference from a close friend and it definitely will not be our last. The owners, Conor and Taylor Schofield were incredibly professional, priced right and detail oriented throughout the entire renovation. Their communication on the project from the smallest to the largest detail was incredible. We felt so included in the entire process and trusted their judgment at the same time. This is a family run business with deep ties to the northwest and an incredible reputation. We love our new home. From the kitchen to the bathrooms to the laundry room to the new garage its all perfect!! and
I would recommend them to anyone looking to renovate or to build a new home. Also note that their work is guaranteed!

AWoodcraft Construction IncWe got a house that was completely gutted and needed the floor repaired. It wasn't a simple job since we wanted to fix the layout of our house. Mike, our general contractor, did a complete overhaul, including expanding the bathroom and living room area, putting a bar area in the kitchen, installing the lights and flooring, painting, and building the kitchen. He also had great connections so we could get good supplies and good prices. Everyone who came our place loved the materials we used and they all loved the work Mike did. I completely love with our new house and I can highly recommend him to use for home renovations. When we tried to find a general contractor, we met a lot of them and they all acted like they could do a good job but none of them came through. Mike finished really well and he took care of stuff that I didn't even ask for. He is very reasonable and willing to work with you. I will definitely use him for any future projects and I want to share my great experience.- Edward K.
