    One Call Construction Services
I am a property manager - we manage 700 homes in the area and deal with contractors all day long. Rick is fantastic. He is responsive, fair, and extremely knowledgeable. He guarantees everything he touches and makes sure you are properly taken care of. His quality of work is second-to-none. He is not the cheapest around but certainly the best value. He has resolved extremely complicated issues that even certified building envelope inspectors could not accurately identify. We have worked with him for everything from simple misc. projects, complicated decking projects, foundation/basement leaks, water/mold remediation, and remodel.

    Handy Ryan Services
Ryan has done work for us twice. He is an affable, professional contractor. He's very capable and does high quality work. He's also forthcoming if he doesn't have the skills for something or if he thinks something is a bad idea. Some of the things he did for us: 1) Set up outdoor lighting 2) Set up security cameras 3) Fix and clean gutters 4) Drywall / Ceiling repair 5) Fixing broken closet door We will definitely hire Ryan again as he does great work and is easy to engage with.

They did the great job. It was actually excellent, because its not leaking now. I like that they showed me what was in the roof, showed me what they are going to do. I like that kind of communication. They are pretty accurate of how much time it would take.

    Tall Pines Construction
We were looking for a full-service contractor who understood the high-end needs of our neighborhood, and who would also help us with design. We found such a contractor in Tall Pines. Co-owner Michele applied her creative touch, and we credit Rene, who managed the project, with many of the fine touches in design that occurred to him as the project went along. The crew was clean and very professional, protected our home from dust with walls of plastic, and protected our floors by laying-down cardboard wherever the crew was likely to be walking. They used excellent subs: very good work from electrical, plumbing, tile-work. We loved their tile supplier: Mindy at DTO gave us wonderful advice. We also had an excellent experience with their stone supplier/installer, and we were happy with the company that fabricated and installed the glass shower surrounds. The supplier they initially recommended for plumbing fixtures, however, didn't work out for us. This is something they could work on. The project went-on a lot longer than we anticipated, but, in fairness, the scope of the project grew, for example we asked them to raise ceilings and re-route heating ducts etc. The costs also ballooned, partly due to how the man-hours add-up when there are multiple workmen on the site continuously. Tall Pines labor costs (which including the tile-work, which was their own guy) came-out to just over half the total project cost. But this is a good thing: they were committed to getting the job done, rather than letting it languish like some contractors might do. We would absolutely use them again.

    Merit Handyman Services LLC
Perfectly! I am an architect! I am fussy! I got Frank's name from a very fussy neighbor. I would give him a 100% rating. He is up to date on current codes and construction practices. He is honest and trustworthy. Whatever he does is beyond what is expected.

Showed up on time. Very nice man. Efficient and knowledgeable about a lot of everything. I had him hange a large mirror, install a security camera system (the system was blink and was wireless and ran on batteries, brackets installed and camera positioning done), fix a wall lamp that was falling off wall and trouble shoot a tv remote problem. The price was $276 for a two hour minimum. When I booked appointment I thought it was a lot but he got a lot done in two hours. I would recommend that you have enough projects so you can keep him busy for 2 hours.

    Kirk's Enterprises Inc
I have hired Kirk several times for general "handyman" projects. He always does a great job at a reasonable price. But you may need to be patient. Kirk is very busy because he has lots of repeat clients, but he is worth the wait.

    Shirey Home Pro
I was quoted around 3.5 hours for the job or around $500. I had a competing quote for $700 from so I went with Shirey. The pro was helpful and friendly, ended up spending almost 5 hours removing trim, getting replacement trim (though the lumber store didn't have the right trim in stock so alas that was wasted time), and fixing the door. During final testing of the fix realized the pocket track screws were tired and the door came right back off again. I would have preferred having options up front before doing the work, but the company contacted me soon after and offered me a refund for the work. Appreciated their honesty and quick assistance, and they were open to helping rectify the situation.

Had a soffit/front porch bead board repair done where some of the bead boards had buckled. Instead of pulling enough bead board down to re-install properly, the grooves (tongue and groove) were rip sawed off and caulk was used to fill the gaps. Naturally, with expansion and contraction, the caulk separated from the joints and led to several unsightly areas. An offer was made to repaint, however, we do not feel as that will work over time. We are going to rip the entire area down and replace with new bead board as the multiple coats of paint (including interior grade paint) that were slapped on are unsightly in their own right. On a good note, we had bead board added to the balance of the house and the work that was completed within the allotted time frame (we had to do some of the finish work ourselves) does look good and we are happy with that. I will say that I should have been more diligent on oversight of the job. Tongue and groove is meant to allow for expansion and contraction. As the grooves were sawed off of the planks, gaps were inevitable. Update 1/25/2019: Mr Handyman returned, tore down all of the originally repair porch ceiling (previously repaired) and properly installed new bead board (purchased by us) after painting it at their shop. We are very pleased to provide this update and are very happy now with the porch ceiling.
