I would highly recommend him. He was a real professional and helped us thru the whole process of replacing our carpeted floors. He worked weekends to finish the job since one part took longer that expected.

Josh of J & A Haub Services did an amazing job installing a new kitchen backsplash. Josh was very prompt in returning my call, performing an estimate and completing the job. He was very honest, hard-working and talented. I also enjoyed getting to know Josh. He's a real pro, has attention to detail and I could tell, he cared about the quality of his work. It showed. My wife and I love our new backsplash. It completely transformed the room. I'd recommend Josh without hesitation.

I wish more people were like Mark Judge of Tongue & Groove Carpentry. Mark is the most hard-working, thoughtful and talented contractor I have had the pleasure to work with. He treated my home the way he would his own, always making sure his work was thorough, to specifications and to my liking. I can count on Mark to do what he says he is going to do. He is a good communicator. He is mindful of a budget. He brings with him tremendous experience. He also brings a talented group of subcontractors (roofer, electrician, plumber, concrete finisher, carpet installer, etc.).
We essentially added half a house to our house, so it was a major project that lasted most of the summer. We gutted and expanded our kitchen, took down a bearing wall and replaced it with a beam that dramatically opened up our main living area. We also added a covered deck, covered patio, bathroom and guest bedroom. Like I said, it was a major project. Mark had a lot to juggle: me, the work, my budget, subcontractors. He was focused throughout, always keeping the momentum up. As a result, the project was completed a little ahead of schedule. Most importantly, our family LOVES the new space. We couldn't have dreamed up a better space. It's perfect. We owe it all to Mark, who took our ideas and turned them into reality.
I would recommend Mark without hesitation for anyone considering hiring him for a project, big or small. Mark is excellent at what he does. Please feel free to call me at 238-0392 to talk about Tongue & Groove Carpentry in more detail.

Don arrived at precisely noon on the day of the quotation. We had a nice conversation about the job as he measured the rooms for the estimate. Don prepared the estimate on site and we negotiated which items I would do myself and which items his crew would do. He emailed me the final quotation before he left the house. We discussed the installation date, and to my surprise he was available on the exact date that worked best for our family.
On the date of the installation, Don and his crew arrived at exactly 9:00, the time we had discussed. He listened attentively to my concerns about specific details of the installation, and described exactly how he would address each of these concerns. I then saw him gather his crew and discuss these issues with them so they knew exactly what to do. I am a very detail oriented do-it-yourselfer who didn't have the time to do this installation, so I greatly appreciated his attention to these details. The job extended into a second day, and again the crew was very prompt, even arriving a few minutes early and waiting in the driveway until exactly 9:00 to ring the doorbell.
Regarding the installation, Don's crew installed a 1/2" x 5" hand scraped engineered hardwood floor over approximately 740 square feet, covering three main rooms, a foyer, and closet. The installation started at the front door and continued through the back of the house. The seam at the front door was perfect, just as he had described. The alignment of the floor through the house was perfect, even going around a wall to end up perfect at a side porch door. All of the seams were tight, with no gaps that would be evidence of poor workmanship. The transition strips with the kitchen floor were cut perfectly around some complex baseboard molding. They left the house clean when they were done, removing all of the scrap material but leaving anything that was still usable. The crew actually removed some leftover transition pieces not needed for the installation but that I wanted to keep so I could use them on another room with the remaining flooring, so I emailed Don and the crew found and returned them a couple of days later, which was very nice.
I happened to be at a home improvement store a couple of weeks after the installation, and one of the crew passed by me in an aisle. Having recognized me just after he walked by, he actually turned around and came back to talk with me about what I thought of the floors and just some small talk. The quality of work performed, and this brief aisle meeting tells me that Don and his crew really care about the work they do, that they want to do a good job, and to me suggests they did the kind of work in my home that they would do in their own homes.

All the personnel were punctual, efficient, and pleasant. They did not spend a lot of time promoting themselves or their products, but they were quite responsive to questions and discussion. The results were beautiful.

I hired them because of a bad experience I had with Costco. They were very accommodating and punctual. This started out as a good experience; unfortunately, the kitchen floor was done improperly. It had not been glued down. They had to take up the whole floor and move all my appliances to repair the problem. Some of my brand new appliances got scratched in the process. It was a bad experience. I would not use this company again.

We called them and talked to them, and a week later they came out to install flooring. They are prompt and honest. The person that actually does the work is excellent. He has a very good personality and is polite and respectful. They are very reasonably priced too. Their price was less than what we were going to pay another company. We have been dealing with them for years. They are excellent and we have always had a good experience with them. I would recommend them.

They were 100% professional: experienced, conscientious and smart. Plus their price was competitive in our local market of established, reputable contractors.

They are unresponsive and unprofessional. My experience with them was frustrating. They were late on shipments, and I think the product itself is bad. I wouldn?t recommend them to anybody.
