    Strategies For Independent Living LLC
It went very well. They were very responsive, and they came out within a couple of days of my first inquiry. They did a great job assessing what other safety modifications could be installed to make things easier.

    Visiting Nurse Association
Working with the Visiting Nurse Association was perfect. It meant that I could leave the hospital and recover in my own home, but also have someone with me who was knowledgeable and who could take action if I needed it. There was also a RN on duty that was on call if my LPN needed to consult someone else. The price was very reasonable. They were extremely professional.

    HCR Home Care
It is an on-call nursing. They do nurses, physical therapists, psychologists and a myriad of services they provide for home health care. Everyone is very professional and very knowledgeable. They helped immensely. I couldn't have survived without them. I will probably use them again because I'm having another surgery.

They are very professional and they are very personable. If you see them often enough, they are like your best friend.

Marra's Home Care Equipment & Supplies
Over a month ago, my family contacted Marra's because of a problem with a power cable on my father's power wheelchair. After a week of waiting for a call back, we called again and got an apology for having to wait. We were told that someone would be here the next day. The next day arrived and no one showed up. We called again and were given another apology and told that the person would be arrive 6 days from then. They did arrive on the sixth day. Said they had to order the part and will call back in a week to schedule the service call. A week goes by and no call. We contact them to be told that the part is back ordered and will arrive on Friday of that week and expect a call for service on Monday. Monday came and went without a call, so did Tuesday. We call them on Wednesday and were given another apology, saying the part arrived on Friday but no one logged it into the system. They schedule a service call for Friday and SHOWED UP! The cable was replaced but we were told that the problem will continue until the powerchair dies and the part will need to be replaced again. ( I should tell you that the powerchair is brand new as of Mid July). It is now Tuesday of the following week and the chair will not move at all. We called at 8:30am and was told someone would call us back within the half hour. No one called. We call again at 12:30pm and receive yet another apology. After a few heated words between myself and them, we should receive a phone call tomorrow or a service call. Very poor communication on their part. If you have to use Marra's, be sure to keep their phone number on speed dial and call them often to make sure things are moving along. Overall the only good thing I can say about the company so far is that they sure do know how to make an "apology" and how fast you will get one.

    Apria Healthcare
I was out of town at a function in CT, fortunately the machine worked well the first night, but the second night I got a thing on my screen that said “take in for repair.” I bring the machine in to the local office and the person said that they weren’t even going to look at it because it’s impossible to repair and it causes a lot of health issues. The gentleman gave me instructions for what to do. I’ve been in contact with my insurance, my doctor and Apria. This process took about 11 days. First off, their IT system is antiquated. I called Apria and finally ask to speak to a supervisor who finally gave me the correct information to take to my insurance company. I finally got it done, it’s not the fault of the local office, but the telephone tree and the incompetent employees at the regional level made things incredibly difficult. They are probably good at what they do if they feel like it. Just to be clear, the local office was great, but the national network is horrible. I would only use them again because my insurance requires me to.
