CJPS Contracting, LLCHe did not use the material requested (cat screen). He did not place the decking correctly as is 1 and 1/2 inch gaps between each board which will get bigger as the board shrinks. There are places where the screen is not tacked down and the screen is all loose. The metal roof he put on leaks and water drips down on one side. The screen door he put on is wobbly and the cheapest door he could buy. Gaps near top and bugs are coming in. I have hired a Master contractor who has done work for 40 years in VT to fix everything and he states that with snow that the roof JPS put on will bow. JPS is NOT licensed in Vermont, he is licensed in Florida and does not have the expertise to provide a quality product. I will be paying someone else to fix his work and he refuses to admit he cut corners, didn't use materials asked for. Shame on this contractor. Buyer beware.- Gretchen B.

FMorel Construction LLCWe hired Mr. Morel as a general contractor for several projects - a new standing seam roof, a barn, and overseeing replacement of our house siding. Mr. Morel provided limited oversight of subcontractors for our roof replacement and siding replacement. Our roof was supposed to take two weeks and wound up taking over two months. It was dented and scratched throughout and chimneys were improperly flashed. Upon completion of the roof, we notified Mr. Morel that the condition was unacceptable. We gave Mr. Morel ample time (over a year) to provide repair. He made several promises that were never kept and has ignored final demands for repair. Mr. Morel failed to properly supervise the contractor hired to replace the siding of home and, as such, the contractor walked off the job and we were forced to hire Mr. Morel's crew to finish the job that had already ran well beyond schedule. The cost was substantially higher. We also hired Mr. Morel to construct a barn and workshop. He did not provide documentation of expenses that exceeded his agreed-to quotes, despite our requests. Additionally, we have since discovered several minor issues that will require us hiring someone to correct them.- Lauren B.

AThis was the most money we have ever paid anyone to do anything...ever. The Sheridans had our trust throughout the entire process. They gave an affordable quote and did awesome work. They cleaned up during each stage of the project and always communicated well with me about timing and issues that came up. Our garage dimensions were awkward and not a perfect rectangle by any means - these guys had to craft a kit of workarounds for irregular shapes and curves. Todd and Luke are good human beings with positive attitudes, and care about their integrity and their work. I hope to use them in the future.

AI had the pleasure of working with Chris on 12/27/20. We had the unpleasant task of a major sewer line backup and overflow in an apartment building that I manage. The ceilings on the first floor had fallen in, and poo water was everywhere. He was absolutely no nonsense professional in getting a stinky situation under control. He knew exactly what needed to be done, and he wasted no time doing it in a thorough and professional manner. He was helpful through the entire project, from cleaning up the nastiness, to dealing with the insurance company, and getting the tenants back into their home. I would absolutely recommend using their services, and I am sure the situation will arise again. As a general handyman, this was way out of my realm, and I am grateful to have found Chris, and Paul Davis from Hardwick, VT.

AWe had junk to remove from our basement and around our exterior buildings. The quote was for an hour of labor (2 employees) and a 20 foot dumpster. They hauled away metal, oil, electronics, tires and wood-based items. They arrived right on time and were very pleasant to deal with. They stuck around to give us a quote on fence installation as well.
