AGreat. We used this vendor in 2013 and after an appliance delivery, our floors has 2 very deep scratches/dents in them. Don Pinette sent his guy back out to resand the floors and reapply polyurethane. The floors look brand new again.

AWell, I called Don for an estimate to replace a section of floorboards that were water damanaged; but the source of the water had always been a mystery. Don spent at least a half hour poking around all over looking for it. In the end, I'm not ready yet for this repair, but the price he gave me was fair, he went above and beyond in determining the source of the damage (it turned out to be something different, but there's no way he could have known that) and he was utterly professional.- Adam C.

FTheir installation was horrible. They hit the hammer on the wood flooring too hard, and it left dents and cracks on the flooring. I have been trying to fix it with them for two months, and it still remains unresolved. Their pricing is fine though.- James l.

AWe went to their store location in Essex (after going to Lowe's and other flooring/tile stores) to see how they could help us. Right from the start, we were impressed! Liz was most helpful and really seemed to care about what we wanted. She was well adept about flooring and showers, and took the time to make sure we got what we wanted. The sub-contractor they sent to do the install was most professional, and a very pleasant, honest, and hard working. He did a great job for us! The price for the job was very reasonable, and fair. We didn't feel ripped-off, like some of the work we've had done. I will be recommending Essex Paint and Carpet. I like the fact they're a local business that's been around for a long time, and won't be closing up shop any time soon.

AThis was not a straightforward project. Of all of the contractors we got estimates from, Jess was the most realistic about the level of work and possible outcomes. He was timely, clean, reasonably priced and the final product FAR exceeded all of our expectations. We won't hesitate to call for help with future projects.- Christine L.

ADon gave us a exact estimate quickly. His installation team worked hard and the job was done quirkly. About 1000 sf wood floors, installed foor tile and carpetted 2 staircases all in a little over 5 days. Charged fair prices for things like moving some of the furniture to doing some custom work on cabinet facings and appliances. His team were all friendly.- John Z.

AThree years ago I had a custom tile shower built into my master bathroom. It began to leak. Steve was referred to me by an associate of his and I am so glad he did the work. He completely removed the shower floor and the mud basin down to the hardy board. He rebuilt the pan with the correct fabric water barrier and used some of the leftover tiles that I had from the previous job and the new tiles that I reordered. He was informative, professional, and explained to me what the original installer had done incorrectly, he did not bad mouth the original installer - he just pointed out his lack of training, and he told me what he would do to make sure it did not leak again. This guy knows his stuff.- Vernon H.

APaul and Peter spent a lot of time with us, educationg us about different wood types and combinations of wood and size and layot to get the perfect result in our family room. They gave us lots of great info on the refinishing product as well and have been able to supply me with any additional product I have needed for maintenance of our floors. I would and have shopped there again. I really like their "green" approach as well.- Phyllis M.

CIt took about 1 1/2 months to finally receive the full order and the store had a great deal of difficulty providing updates on when the full order would arrive. The information they provide state "Bamboo hardness can be compared to that of heart pine and maple, vertical styles are harder than horizontal and strand harder than vertical." In addition to their rating, they also provide many glowing reviews online, so I purchased vertical bamboo thinking it would be a hard durable surface. The floor has been quickly covered with scratches from our dog. The 35+ year old oak floors elsewhere in the house stand up MUCH better to the dog. I tried to submit a review of the material to the LL reviews website. I indicated that the floor is not a good choice for a house with a dog, thinking this would be a valuable lesson for other homeowners with dogs. They refused to post my review, it seems they only post the glowing product reviews. Relying on LL's website reviews and information proved to be very misleading and steered me to the wrong product. Had they allowed other unsatisfied owners to post reviews I would have looked for a more suitable product and they would have ended up with a more satisfied customer. The end result is that they do have low prices, but you must do your own independent homework before shopping with them.- Steven W.

AThe store provided a great deal of advice and help in selecting the tile floor and all of the materials needed to prep the floor and complete the installation. This was the first tile floor I installed so their advice was very helpful. The price was a little higher than a big box store, but they have a much nicer selection of quality products and can provide much more expert advice. All of the materials arrived within two weeks.- Steven W.
