Hvac Repair reviews in Charlotte

Estimate for new heating/AC system was $3,000 less than a smaller contractor's, and it was for a better brand of furnace. (I'm told the reason they're so competitive is that they can do all their ductwork fabrication in-house, rather than subcontracting.) Estimating process was quick and professional. Also, unlike other contractor, they have 24/7 emergency coverage.
I recommend searching out the message boards that have furnace reviews and advice from pros. Through those, you can have an objective expert look at your estimate and help you make informed choices.

The 3-sided shower we had ordered would not fit in the original space because of the way the wall was constructed for the old shower, so we had to make a decision on the fly to either rebuild the wall or change the type of shower stall. The plumber helped us with the decision and worked in the new specs on the fly. Since he couldn't remove the wall, I had to hire a carpenter who came in a few days later and did it and also levelled the floor beneath the shower. Then the Benoure plumber returned and installed the shower stall. The carpenter came back and repaired the sheetrock around the stall and in the ceiling. The work was done well, efficiently, and in a timely manner. My only disappointment is that while we bought the shower door through Benoure, they would not install it because "they don't have the expertise", and I had to hire a third party.

Called Climate Systems to schedule an initial meeting to discuss replacement of my heating/AC system. The system was 15+ years old and the AC evaporator coil was freezing-up becoming ineffective at cooling the house. I already knew that I was going to replace the system,

Derek arrived on-time and we walked around for 20 minutes discussing various options to make my heating and cooling more effective;  we also discussed some possible duct work to make the system work efficiently. Derek assured me that they would look at the air flow and make any adjustments needed to optimize the system. He said he would provide with me with a quote in a few days and that their company could begin work immediately ... wow!

The quote arrived as discussed. Total cost was $11,950.00.  It was detailed enough that I didn't have any additional questions. Payment terms were 1/2 when they began the job and the other 1/2 when they finished.

I gave them the go-ahead and Derek arrived with a crew the next day. He went over the project with the crew and assisted them for an hour before he took off and let them do their work.

Over the next three days, the crew arrived early, worked hard all day and did a nice job. As agreed, they removed all the old components and installed a new compressor and furnace and ran all needed tests.

During the process, we felt that an additional cold-air return was needed to balance the system and utilize the hottest air in the house. This return was not easy to add. I brainstormed with their crew to find a way to install this return in the least disruptive way. After back and forth, we arrived at a great solution. They installed this return on the third day of work. It was a custom solution to the problem an required some --  thinking out-of-the-box along with the skill to fashion and install the duct-work.

This was a very smooth job, pretty rare for things to go this well.
Climate Systems knows their business and has a good work flow to bring a customer through the process.

I'm very pleased with their work

    Placed the initial call. Their salesman arrived at my home within a few days. He was 10 minutes early for our meeting. I remarked that and quot;I've never seen a contractor on time for a meeting, much less early!and quot;

We discussed my problem (AC freezing-up an becoming in-effective) and looked at various components of the system for about 20 minutes. We agreed that it was best to have a technician do a service call ($150) to dig in and access my situation further.

Their technician arrived as scheduled within a few days. After various measurements and discussion of repair versus replacement, I opted to replace my furnace and AC system. The technician said he would alert the salesman to followup with me me and provide a quote.

After about a week, I called the salesman and told him that I talked with the technician and we agreed on a new system and that I needed a quote. He mentioned at that time that it wouled be about three-weeks; I joked and quot;for the quote?!and quot;, he said and quot;noand quot;, and quot;for a work crew to do the installationand quot;, they were pretty busy at this time of season (July).

Another 10 days went by and I had to call the salesman and request via voice-mail that he get a quote to me. Within a few days, I received an email quote. The email said and quot; Please let me know if you have any questionsand quot;. I did reply to the email with several questions.

Never heard back from the company until I received the invoice for the technician. Paid my bill and moved on to another contractor.

I definitely got the impression that they were just too busy to handle the job. If they would have answered my questions in a timely fashion, I would have gone ahead with 10 thousand dollars worth of work. They started off very responsive, seemed knowledgeable but just couldn't follow through.

He came when he said he would, showed up on time, and it only took 5 hours to convert to the new Baxi Duo-Tech Boiler On Demand system.  We are very happy with the results!
