Brad was easy and reliable to work with. Communication was easy and stress free. He was diligent to assure timely service however also was carefully regarding the weather. I also appreciate that he is not contracting out the work. He has done several roofs in our neighborhood, and has an exceptional contractor.

TS is THE BEST. They work hard, fast. So friendly, and always with a chipper positive attitude. The quality of their work is honestly TOP SHELF. TS is 100% HONEST. I would only seek help elsewhere if TS was not available. But i don't because i would rather wait for when TS is available.

    Faucher Construction
Excellent, as has several previous construction, repair, and maintenance jobs that he has done for me. Very quick to respond to repair requests. Extremely easy to work with and very conscientious about ensuring that the work is done to your (and his) satisfaction. Very experienced in all types of house construction and repair and able to suggest lots of alternatives and options for any repairs.

    New Leaf Design, LLC
I got a hold of New Leaf's name and number through Efficiency Vermont's database when I searched for home performance contractors in Hinesburg, VT. My husband and I had just bought our house and we knew we needed to get an energy audit performed on the house before we did any work to it- and we were lucky we did! New Leaf discovered during the energy audit that our new house had minimal insulation levels and major air leaks! The owner of New Leaf, who performed the energy audit, was very sweet to let me tag along during the audit process. He did a great job of doing a kind of show-and-tell audit for me. He would use their infrared camera (while the blower door was running) in order to get a peak inside the walls to pinpoint where the leaks were- it was so cool! They took the time to answer ALL of my questions in such a genuine way that made me feel good because they were very patient and knew that the information they were giving me was dense and can be overwhelming, so they took the time to explain it exceptionally well. After the audit was performed on the house, New Leaf came back and hand delivered the audit report. This was a great feature to their service as we ended up having a face-to-face discussion on what they thought were the best steps to take to tighten up the home (within our budget). The actual report was 16 pages long and full of information, images and recommendations... I was thrilled that they were able to summarize the report for me in the meeting! During the discussion, they also disclosed what type of incentive money we could expect to receive through Efficiency Vermont and the estimated percentage energy savings if we completed the recommended insulation work. We knew when we bought the house that the roof needed new shingles, so we were already planning on such a project, which we told New Leaf during the audit. New Leaf was thrilled with this news because it was going to be a perfect opportunity (and the least expensive way) to fill up the roof cavities with insulation. New Leaf coordinated the whole project. They got the roofer to the house to pull of the existing shingles and then New Leaf's crew came in right behind the roofers to start pumping the non-toxic cellulose material into the roof. When the New Leaf crew was done, the roofers were right back to put the new shingles on. I still cannot believe how well it worked out. It was great having New Leaf be able to do the audit and then have the same company come in to do the insulation work, it makes me think things were done well because everyone was on the same page as to where the major leaks were and what the appropriate insulation levels should be in the roof since they are in the energy efficiency business. Also having New Leaf coordinate all the work including the roofing work, took a huge weight off my shoulders. They whole project took 3 days! It was amazing. What really made me feel good about the whole thing was the fact that New Leaf came back to re-test the house after the work was done. They took new infrared images and compared them to the old infrared images to make sure they were able to seal up the holes they found in the beginning. They made such a difference in the house that we qualified for a significant incentive! And the work they did helped to lower our homes operating costs! We loved working with New Leaf so much, that we have had them come back to do a bunch of remodeling work too, including: install hardwood floors, tile floors, and to finish out the basement! They have such a great crew that is so pleasant to work with!

    G&G Home Improvement
My experience with G&G has been excellent. I work from home, so we were able to review and solve problems as we went - as I mentioned above the house is very old, and very quirky. Guy's native language is French so there were occasional minor misunderstandings. On a previous job (exterior painting) we had a written contract, but on the basis of that job we worked on a time and materials basis, verbally rather than written, aside from informal to - do lists. If there is one thing I would suggest it is to tell Guy t o take his time with windows - he is of the paint quickly now and clean with a blade later school, which is not my favorite, but got the job done. Guys ability to paint, repair, and do plumbing meant that we were able to take care of things like replacing leaky faucets and an old commode without having to call anyone else in. Guy LeBrun's  partner, Guy Jolicouer, does HVAC, and helped out on occasion, but there was no HVAC specific work involved. If you are looking for a workman like approach, solid solutions, and a good job at an excellent value then G&G is  for you. If you are looking for a name on a truck, polished appearance, and high end flourishes, then not so much. Both Guys are honest, hardworking and really care about coming up with the right solution.

    AlTerra Construction
The quality of the work has been excellent. Everyone who the contractor has brought in to work on our home has been friendly, professional, and courteous. The contractor was straightforward about costs, and flexible with our evolving needs, but occasionally too optimistic regarding when each stage of the project was expected to be completed. There have been a few glitches along the way, some due to miscommunication, some to delays in materials being delivered to the contractor or to the homeowner, or to other factors, but overall we've been happy.

I interviewed 3 different companies to get estimates on a relatively small job and Patriot came in $200 cheaper than the best of the other 2 companies.. I had used Patriot Insulation previously at another residence several years ago and was equally satisfied then with the work they performed. The 3 man crew arrived on time on the date we agreed on, spread out coverings on the floor so as to not track in insulation and other debris, and were done with the entire job in roughly 3 hrs. They also used expansion foam around lighting and exhaust fan areas in the attic to prevent heat loss. The owner took before and after pictures of the attic area showing what they had done. Overall, they were very thorough and do recommend them for this type of work.

Paul was one of the businesses recommended to us from VT Gas as we took advantage of the energy efficiency program. Paul came to look at our home and project before we had the audit because I had family in town who were building contractors. Paul stayed in touch to arrange a time, arrived just when he said he would, and was friendly and thorough in meeting with us. Once we were approved and ready to go with the project, Paul was very responsive to our contacts, he was flexible in arranging times that would work with our schedule, and he walked us through all of the project. He was even willing to and quot;superviseand quot; us through part of the job we were thinking about doing, but ultimately chickened out of. Paul's guys were very respectful and Paul was by to oversee the project over the 3 days of work. They were willing to work with our dog at home and kept in touch since I couldn't be home during the day. Paul and his guys explained the work they did once they were finished and were great about cleaning up whatever mess occurred. We found an issue with one of our lights after the work was done and he came out and fixed the electrical problems and caulked the area that was affected by the insulation blow in. Paul was great to work with!
