  • He is very attentive. He did cataract surgery on both of my eyes about five years ago. I couldn't see for years and he was the first one to check me for cataracts. He's very personable and tells you exactly what's happening. He's very competent.

  • After some initial apprehension about having a new primary care doctor assigned to me by the Brattleboro Primary Care practice, Doctor Pofcher has proved to be a wonderful person to have in charge of handling my somewhat numerous and complicated medical issues. He has really taken the time to familiarize himself with my past medical history, even as he handles a heavy case load of patients at this very busy practice. I have been seeing him on a monthly basis in order for him to monitor my conditions, symptoms and progress. He is extremely thorough and takes the time to discuss matters and answer any questions. i think we can all relate to seeing a doctor who comes off as having his mind already on the next patient, feeling rushed and uncomfortable taking their time. This is not the way this doctor treats his patients. You may find that you wait a bit longer in the reception area for your appointment but will find it is well worth the wait when the quality of care is this good. I would highly recommend him, and in fact, have recommended him to friends. Experienced and caring- I feel this is a doctor well qualified to treat me and I hope to see him for a long time to come.

  • He was too behind with his patients to be of much help. Not his fault but that of the practice. Not impressed with this office though from what I could tell he was doing the best he could with what he was working with.

  • I think after not eating or drinking for 8 hours, being given no information about having to have my ride wait for me in the office, the doctor overhearing the assurance that the ride was on his way, and knowing that I would have to wait over a weekend for another opportunity, to place a ten minute time limit seemed arbitrary, punitive, and not particularly empathetic.
If possible, I would suggest looking for another practice, as you may find that you will be shown the same level of disrespect and poor empathy as I was.

  • I've generally been pretty happy with my doctor.  I would tell my friends or family members about Dr. Blofson if they are looking for a good primary care physician.  The point is that he's a small town general practitioner who actually takes the time to listen to you.  A lot of times when you go the doctor and he's just kind of processing people through, but he actually doesn't do that and that's not the way he works.  He knows his patients.  His punctuality is good and it's more likely to be me who has got the punctuality problem.  His communication is good and that's the strong point.

  • Dr. Zinter's office was warm and welcoming and with an air of real professionalism. Her staff was prompt with our appointments, friendly, helpful, thorough and informative. Dr. Zinter found a small problem and clearly explained it to me and how it would be treated. She helped set up the necessary referral. It's a great office and I am glad she took us on as patients.

  • He is tenacious in getting to the root of any problems. He is very thorough and will give you any tests needed. He is very focused on getting rid of any pain first and then finding a remedy for effective treatment. He is an excellent doctor I would highly recommend.

  • I was concerned that I might have celiac disease and asked to be tested. Weeks went by and when I finally got through and left messages on their machines I was told that the results had been mailed to me. I got the results a couple of days later, I looked the results up on the web and all of the tests were positive for having celiac, the doc had written a note saying the results "looked like I might have a sensitivity to gluten, and to maybe try to avoid it." Terrible, inaccurate advice. The truth is I can NOT have gluten and should have been advised as such.

  • I had come in with upper dentures and about 4 teeth on the bottom. He sent me to an oral surgeon to have the remaining teeth removed - successfully. Then he proceeded to make molds of both upper and lower gums - never looking at the old upper dentures, which fit perfectly (not fitted by him). It took several weeks and several molds, but when he was inserting the finished dentures, he asked (for the first time!): "Do you have an underbite?" When I said No, he proceeded to angle the top front teeth outward to "fit with" the lower dentures. The top teeth stuck out at such an angle that I soon bit the inside of my lip, and the resulting "bump" keeps being bitten (because it sticks out now, and the upper teeth are still badly angled out, so the pointed eye teeth keep hitting it). The lower dentures don't fit unless I use a lot of Fixodent and reapply it often during the day. I didn't want to go back to him because I had already been charged $3000, and I was sure he would overcharge me for refitting and/or fixing his work! I've been waiting to find another dentist to deal with this - hopefully for less cost.
