    I was extremely pleased to find Matt at Sydscompufix. When my old laptop finally died without warning, I found Sydscompufix by chance through an internet search. I am so glad I did. Matt was able to recover my documents/pictures from my hard drive and move them to a flash drive so now I am no longer in mourning for my lost memories. Very reasonable priced and fast service (less than 24 hours). I would highly recommend this place if you have computer repair or data recovery needs.

    Rob did an excellent job -- our computer works perfectly now. We use this computer for both business and family functions and it is a critical part of our operation so we were thrilled that Rob was able to come out the same day that I contacted him. Rob not only repaired our computer but gave us some new information/knowledge, as well. He was very patient in answering questions and while he was here fixed a problem I was having with my email account, as well. Not only was Rob very professional, quick to respond and reasonably priced, he was helpful with a follow-up question I had (over the phone). I would DEFINITELY hire Rob again!

    Clearly a customer oriented business with friendly and knowledgeable staff.  I was upgrading my computer system to add a new harddrive and to reinstall the cpu cooler.  I lacked the necessary harddrive cable and thermal paste.  I found several variations online but was not certain enough to want to do it solo.  There are not many hometown computer service stores left and particularly few that also have a retail store.  I knew I was in good hands when I met their technician.  He knew exactly what parts were needed and also provided advice on how to apply the thermal paste.  I highly recommend them and will make them my go-to shop for any future computer issues.

    It's a computer programming company.  I had thee worst experience with them.  They were supposed to fix my computer.  It's a 3rd party outsourced company.  They told me that they couldn't help me at all.  I had a service contract of $289.99.  They did a temporary fix on my computer that lasted about 36 hours and then it crashed again.  I called them back and they did a reinstall to factory settings and that worked for about a week and then it totally crashed again.  I took it in to another company and they said that these people were in my computer.  One can get into a computer and make changes and all that.  As soon as the other company looked at the error code on my screen, they said that there was no way they could fix my computer with those error codes.  They said that it's going to have to be totally restored and I didn't have the software in the computer to do it as the other company had already tried to restore it.  There was no way that these guys could have fixed my computer.  It was a whole different story trying to get my money back.  I spent an entire day on the phone with them and my credit card company.  I also promised them that I was going to Angie's List.  It's one of those Indian outsourced companies.  They talk so fast and if one can't understand it's not their fault.  I had my credit card company on the phone with me while I was talking to them at one point and they asked me if I had any idea what the guy said.  I said I didn't have any idea.  They finally did refund my money, but it took an entire day after me promising to take them to court.  I told them that I have 3 brothers that are attorneys.  I also told them that I was going to call Better Business Bureau telling them that my computer company was not going to pay that bill.  It was obviously bogus.  My computer hard drive was crashed.  There was absolutely no way that the online support company could have fixed that and they should have recognized the error messages that were in my computer at the time they got into it.  They were just trying to get my money.  I was notified that the money was refunded on the 16th of February.  They wanted to refund me a $100.  I asked them if I was paying $100 for something that they didn't fix at all.  The guarantee was that they were going to fix it and it was not fixed at all.  Once I found out that it was not fixable from their end, they still wanted to keep my money.  I apparently got all my money back, but took an entire day of my time.  I didn't give up.  They were trying to see if would get frustrated and give up.  They sent me an e-mail offering to give me $100 and so on.  I sent them an e-mail back asking them not to contact me until they were ready to refund all of my money.  I told them that I was too busy contacting Angie's List, BBB, my attorneys and my credit card company.  I mentioned that I didn't have time for them until they were ready to send all my money back.  When I got up the next morning, I checked the e-mail on another computer which said they had refunded all of my money back to the credit card company.  I had to spend the entire day with them and with my credit card company.  It was a 3-way call and first of all, I could not understand them.  If one is going to outsource a company to India they need to be aware that they know English, but they don't know how to pronounce the words, they don't know the intonation and how to make it make sense.  The companies that they have outsourced on the computer that type to you are fine, but when they try to talk to you, it makes no sense.  I'm really disappointed with their service.  I would not use them in a million years.  I got the problem resolved.  I wasn't going to stop until I did.
