  • Kimberly McKees shows little interest in her patients beyond getting paid. She does create a relationship with patients but treats them as a number. Her office tells a patient one thing and then changes the story later, always to McKee's advantage. |Be very cautious of using her services. The best doctor is one with whom you have a relationship; one who cares about your well being. McKee is not it. All she does, besides ordering questionably necessary tests and a brief exam is tick off boxes on her computer. I'm looking for a partner to maintain my health and she is definitely not it.

  • I was the last patient of the day.  The doctor cut my hand open and could not find the cyst, even when he stuck his finger into the cut.  I told him that the cyst was the other direction than he was looking, he would not listen. When finished, the doctor glued the wound.  I kept the wound dry and clean like I was told.  When I removed the bandage 3 days later, the wound was open and infected.  I returned to the doctor's office.  The nurse looked at the open wound and found two doctors in the office to look at it.  The first comment from one of the doctors was "who did that"?  They both said "there is nothing we can do to help you and walked out of the room.  I went to my Primary Care doctor and was immediately put on antibiotics for infection in the wound.  I will never go back to Taconic for anything.
    Also, my 82 year old mother had a knee replacment from one of the doctors in this place.  She had a lot of problems walking and was told by other doctors that  the leg that had the knee replacment is about 1/2 inch shorter than the other leg.

  • I am very pleased and impressed by Dr. Seyferth's credentials, attitude, and accessibility.  I saw him for a first appointment and was amazed at the contact time he gave me. He had done his homework and was familiar with my history. His questions were smart, perceptive, and on the money.  I left his office very pleased with him, his skill, and his staff's courtesy. Little did I know that I would have a major attack that night.  I felt awkward to call him the day after I was seen, but by Wednesday, I knew I was in trouble. I faxed Wednesday night, asking if I could just drive up for a prescription on Thursday, to control the reaction. Instead, he saw me early on Thursday, prescribed the appropriate medications and let me know that he was available if needed. I left feeling very reassured that I was in good hands.  When I got back to NY, my NY medical team agreed with what had been done.  For the first time in the two years that I have returned to the Berkshires, I feel medically "safe." Dr. Seyferth understands the mechanism of my disease, its unusual presentations, and he has the ability and kindness to manage it well for me.  I am very grateful.

  • My primary care physician first discovered my thyroid nodules at a regular physical and referred me to Dr. Gorson.  Dr. Gorson sent me for an ultrasound and we discovered that the nodules were smaller than the recommended size to be biopsied at that point.  We discussed the options of attempting to biopsy them right away anyhow, or watching and waiting, and decided on the latter.  18 months later, one of them grew slightly so we decided to do the biopsy and discovered papillary thyroid cancer.  When breaking the news to me and my husband, Dr. Gorson made sure to schedule a long enough appointment to answer all our questions and concerns.  My way of dealing with cancer was to do a lot of research on my own, and Dr. Gorson has always been supportive of that and treated me as an intelligent participant in my care, and always has time to answer my questions or look at any research papers I might bring in.  Since thyroid cancer is not his specialty, he has consulted with other specialists on a few tricky details of my case.  I have always felt very confident in the care I am receiving from Dr. Gorson, and feel respected and listened to when I have an appointment with him.

  • When I had my six-month check-up in early March I told Dr. Pietrucha I'd been having pain on one side since my last cleaning.  He took x-rays and said things looked fine so he thought it might be a leak around an old (30 years) filling and suggested replacing it. I arrived on time for the appointment and didn't even sit down, they called me right in.  Dianne is always very friendly and cheerful so we chatted for the few minutes before Dr. Pietrucha came in.  He looked over the x-rays, then got right to work.  He gave me a shot of Novocaine and then used cotton swabs to put a numbing agent on my gum, letting it sit for probably 5 minutes to make sure it was working.  The whole experience was fine.  He drilled out the old filling, replaced it, made sure it was stable before he let me leave. He gave me instructions as far as what not to eat or drink for the next few hours, to call him if there were any problems and I made my appointment for my next six-month check-up.  I was probably there for an hour all told.

  • On my first, intake, visit, Dr. Seyferth was impressive.  He was intelligent, asked smart questions, explained as he went, took notes pertinent to our conversation, and was very kind and positive.  I left his office finally pleased that I didn't have to be afraid to be ill in my N. Adams home.
    Two days later, I had a flare-up of my disease and knew that I needed help.  I faxed Dr. Seyferth's office on a Wednesday night, and they saw me immediately on Thursday.  I was examined, the situation was addressed properly, the medications were ordered directly from his office to the pharmacy I use, and all I had to do was pick up the medications and administer them.  I was told when he was not on call and when he would be available, who his coverage was, and that if I needed him again, to please call. 
    I was impressed by his professional approach, his level of knowledge about my situation, his willingness to hear what I had to say, his diagnostic ability, and the length of time he spent with me on the initial visit to understand all the nuances of my disease and required treatment. He was totally "on the money"! His knowledge and his thoughtful decisions were obvious.  I came away thanking God that I had found Dr. Seyferth, because many physicians don't understand my medical issue and make me feel foolish.  He did not-he understood exactly what I described on the first visit and confirmed it on the following visit, when I ran into difficulty. And to top it all off, he and his office staff are delightful, positive people who care about their patients. It was very obvious that these people also cared about the patients well-being beyond the physical symptom presented.

  • Jophiel's Beauty place has this unique massage room where an oval window is covered by bamboo blinds.  It is very zen looking and sets the tone for a massage.  Combine this with relaxing music, sented oils and the skillful hands of Laurie Jessmen and you have the perfect massage.  I chose the swedish massage.  She also has other kinds as well. I used to go to Laurie at another place in town but since she moved here, the total experience far exceeds my expectation.  I highly encourage all to go

  • It has been excellent. One thing I really enjoy is when I call them, I barley have to wait to talk to a human. I do not have to go through my regular doctor to get a specialist, I just have to talk to this health care to get what I need.

  • Dr. McClellan was extremely thorough, patient, and accomodating to our questions. I felt much more at ease with the extent to which he educated us about what he will do, what he might find, and what he might do about it at the time as well as what may have to be addressed in the future.
