  • Jan was thoroughly professional, very friendly and performed excellent work.  She was open to answering lots of questions about what she was doing and helpful with advice for future stages of my project.  Best of all, her invoice came in for less than she quoted.  I would definitely hire her again for electrical work.

  • We contacted a few electricians in the area to see if they were available to do this work.  We contacted Draper Electric and explained what we needed and provided him with a copy of the inspection report.  John came out the very next day to look at first-hand what needed to be done.  He came out when he said he would and called us to say that it would take a half-day to make all of the repairs.  He also said that he could complete the work that day if we wanted.  The quote that he gave us was very fair.  Based on some other work that we had done recently by another electrician, his quote was about half what we had expected the repairs to cost.  When we got home that day, the work was finished and he had even left us an itemized invoice without us needing to ask for one.  Overall, John was professional, competent, prompt, and provided a high level of service.  John actually came out and had already completed the work before one of the other electricians we contacted had even returned our call.  If the need ever arose, we would definitely hire John do other electrical work for us.

  • I was very pleased with the service. Mark showed up the day after I had inquired about hiring him. He and his team spent about 4 hours wiring the subpanel, the new circuit, and mounting the outlet. The wiring is well organized in the subpanel and the new circuit/outlet looks sharp.

  • While the job was not entirely straight forward, i.e. the wire wasn't a straight shot. The number of hours that I was billed for was in excess of what the job took/what it should have taken. The workers were clearly paid HOURLY. They took over an hour to plan how they were going to do the job, then took a break. The helper then left to get parts, and the electrician waited. Work continued other until the end of their day(2:45) other than a break(onsite) and a lunch break(off site). The helper cleaned everything up nicely. When they returned the following day work continued. I was working in another part of the house and actually want looking for them multiple times as they were on a break quite frequently. Though they did great work, they also did a fair amount of chatting. In my opinion, the work hours were overbilled, partially my own fault as I: 1. took the recommendation of someone and did not ask for a quote in advance, 2. did not watch the workers while they worked, 3. didn't put a stop watch on them from the moment they walked into my house. On the second day of work I felt like I was riding in a taxi with a driver taking the LONG route. After receiving my bill I spoke to someone else who had used them previously who said to give Dexter Electric a call and they would discount the bill as that was what they had done for them. My feeling is that if you are honest, then you should never have to discount a bill. The last time I hired an electrician (in another state,Not Dexter Electric) he performed the work efficiently, then said to me, "I charge in full hours and the job's done, so is there anything else that I can do for you for the next 25 minutes"? I only wish I could find service like that again.

  • Asked him to be at the house around 1:30 and showed up perfectly on time - think it was 1:25. Took him about an hour to take down the old fixture, figure out how to put up the new one and get it up. Very nice, clean install in a very high place. Thorough as he was with a previous job, ensuring that everything was clean and picked up at the end and made sure all three switches connected to the light worked. He even accommodated the fact that I was working from home and on a conference call while he was here - quietly moved his ladder and did what he needed to as quietly as possible.

  • He did a really good, clean job, and ensured that everything was picked up and clean before he left. He did a great job, especially since he was doing it on a scorching hot and humid day and it involved crawling up in our attic. Even made sure he asked what color switches and plates we had in the room before coming. Cost included travel, labor, and all parts and wiring.

  • We were very impressed with their care to explain all the details and thoroughly look at all the work we wanted done. The estimate was fair compared to those we got over the phone after their visit! We have scheduled an appointment with them to follow-up on all the work we need done. I'll report back on how it comes out!
