It didn't. They have ignored my request for a proposed course of action. Be aware, if you hire C&A to re-plaster your pool the company will subcontract the work to seasonal labor from the Southwest and not standby the warranty on the contract

Terrific job! The crews on site were all extremely helpful and super hard working. I was assigned a project manager who was with me from the beginning talking to me about the plan and timeline always answering calls and still helped answer questions for me after the job was all done. My new pool deck looks amazing and the pool is like a brand new pool.

Because I had already paid to have this done once before and was left high and dry by the previous contractor I was a little hesitant, however, the owner Dan was quick to put my mind at ease. He put 2 guys on the job they work promptly from 8a-6p everyday for 4 days with Dan stopping by each dat to check progress and address any concerns I had. I like the fact that it was the same 2 people working on my house the entire time. I also like that they did not use paint sprayer, the draped everything (including carpet), moved furniture, etc... They removed light switch panels, closet shelves, stair hand rails, I mean they did a really good job and it is under warranty which I also love. I cannot speak highly enough about the work done here. If i were not selling my house I would definitely use Dan The Man Services in the future, but I am recommending he to quite a few people.

They did a good job. They had to think outside the box because the plumber who installed the plumbing went below/past the wall. They had to get creative to put plaster board and keep it flat. They completed everything the same day and matched the paint. I congratulate them on their work.

I scheduled an appointment two weeks out for the work to be perform during the morning hours.  I called the owner a day ahead to confirm my appointment for the next day, but to no avail.  I called the owner the morning of my scheduled appointment, and asked where was the technician.  He indicated that the technician was due to arrive around 2pm, due to another job he was performing.  I told him that I was scheduled for morning services and he said the schedule had changed.  This was disappointing, as I had to cancel a previously scheduled evening engagement.  The technician arrived around 1:30 pm and he was very professional.  He explained the services would take 6 hours and if I had the materials to do the work. Except for the paint, I didn't know what materials were needed.  I indicated to him, that I asked the owner if someone could come out prior to my appointment for an assessment of what materials were needed for the work. So, it was off to Home Depot to purchase the materials with the technician.  This was a lesson learned for me, as this took away from the time of the work to be performed. Lesson #2, if you plan to use this company, keep in contact to ensure your scheduled appointment is not changed without your knowledge.  Lesson #3, ensure whether or not the provider can commit to having someone assess what materials are needed prior to your scheduled appointment. Lesson #4, the contract on Angie's List indicated that additional hours of service can be done for $50 per hour; however, the owner quoted $55, but did not make the change on Angie's List. No problem, I honored the $55 per hour, due to the very humble and professional services of the technician. Lastly, the above rating is mainly for the technician.  I will not be using this company for future services.

I signed in and found a deal I was interested in for Handy Man services and paid for it. The note on the site specifically said that the provider would contact me by 9/9. I heard nothing in email from provider nor by phone. Email with order # said for me to call provider. I feel if I paid Provider she call me to set up appt. The inside AL website messaging is convenient for the contractor and AL but not a customer. What about good old fashion call the customer particularly since services were paid upfront. If there was a note when I registered for the service that said check your AL message center then that would have been most useful. Now that I understand the process better I may try again. I had someone else who did call me do the work on 9/9. Please give me a full refund ASAP. Thank you.

They did a good job. The only problem was that they don't take credit cards. I had to pay with a check, and they did not have a receipt at the time, and I didn't have a check with me. They said they would send a receipt to me later.

When they came, they were organized. They did the entire job--tear down, mud, sand, paint 2 times and cleaned-up--in a day and a half. They worked steady and with confidence. I am very happy with the job they did.

First and foremost you can not go into a project such as this without having a collaborative relationship with the Contractor.
My husband and I are 60+ and with all the work we did to get the house ready for this project we learned a lot,  Our primary role was to  get all materials needed by Justin and his crew to get the job done.
We brought the bamboo flooring, moulding, bathroom materials (vanity/mirror, tub, tile, grout, tank/commode, shower door), handrail/stairs, lights for top/bottom of the stairs and Justin got the paint, nails for the flooring, plaster and drywall.  Justin picked up materials from Home Depot as needed and went with me to get some of the materials to be sure it was correct.
Justin created the work plan, we provided the key products. Justin has a crew that worked long hours to get the prep work done for the painting.  Taking down the popcorn ceiling made enough dust to have created its own dust storm. What a mess...LOL!
The painter came one Saturday for painting.
The young man (Ariel) doing the flooring worked from 8am to 7pm on specific days.  This young man did an amazing job with the floors both hardwood and tile. What a work ethic he has!
Justin was always onsite each morning at 7am to make sure the crew had their assignments to complete the project and at the end of each work day progress was obvious.  No day passed without seeing visible progress.  They always cleaned up after themselves and took stuff to the dump to keep the site clear.
Since both my husband and I were out of the house during the day we had to leave the crew.  The trust with Justin and his crew created a situation that was both successful and non-intimidating.  Frustrations existed but were managed.  If issues come up they were addressed immediately; Justin made it easy to work this project.
One lesson we learned is to ask more questions and to be more specific.  Certain tasks were discussed but not written down; lesson learned.  Gotta keep a to do list!!  This is a collaborate effort so it not fair to expect the Contactor to know what you are thinking.  Remember its your home!
We had an issue with the tank/commode and did not clearly understand the problem; took several days to get a water leak corrected.  Justin's plumber was onsite twice, a visit to Home Depot and a second opinion finally resolved the issue.
Justin creates a work process that creates results.  The attention to the bigger picture allowed the project to get done.  Some days the vision was not so clear to us but the end product was a success.

I was pleasantly surprised that PPHI was so reasonable with its removal of the "offending" drywall.  I knew since the first estimate to repair ($25K) that the foundation had suffered some some type of damage; other companies were insistent that I would have to have all the drywall removed to include a newly installed tiled bathroom wall (around a tub).  PPHI did not think that this would be necessary.  PPHI removed the drywall, repaired the interior crack, painted with mildew removing paint and installed green board.  The work was completed in 2 days.
PPHI crew arrived as promised, cleaned and removed debris from the work area and replaced baseboard molding and stairway trim.  Work was done 100% to my satisfaction and at a most reasonable cost.
