    Beyond Studio
    Horrible experience with Lorena Vasquez . I went there to Beyond Studio to have my roots touched up with highlights on Tuesday because they had been grown out. I told her I wanted the roots done and if she could incorporate more brown to match the under part of my hair that isn't included in a "partial foil" she said it would have it. After she did the highlights, she went to go sit on the couch and proceeded to just be on her phone for 30! minutes. She didn't ONCE even come over to check the hair or how my hair was taking the color...mind you first time I was with her. I actually call her name twice for her attention because I know my hair takes quickly and I didn't want to be on for too long. I end up standing up to go to her because she's so in her phone she isn't paying attention. I tell her I checked my hair and it looked white. She said "nooo honey, it's just the cream on top of your hair. You can't tell the color right now, it's going to take awhile." Mind you I've had many highlights done on my hair. So after 35 minutes...she finally comes back over and we wash my hair out. I told her RIGHT away as soon as she finished drying my hair and finally let me see my hair in the mirror... it was WHITE!. I even said to her "Uh, it's REALLY WHITE!" She happily said "Yea, it is." THIS IS NOT WHAT I ASKED FROM HER...NOT even CLOSE to the picture I even showed her. She said "Ok, no problem we can tone it down." She puts toner on my hair which I later find out she had the nerve to CHARGE me for toner she needed to tone the ridiculous color she made my hair that I didn't ask for....then completed turned my hair from having any highlights at all to all brown. I didn't notice it as much in the salon but when I got in the car with the sun and at home...basically different lighting not a speck of blonde highlights anywhere in my "partial foil" that I paid for. I got home made the appointment right away and even put in the notes needed the highlights..that I already paid for. Went there today and she absolutely refused to do my hair for what I paid for...the highlights. Told me that I left the salon and that's the end of her job. That's supposedly the rule there...which is funny because while I was there...another customer was unhappy about the "gray highlights" that were supposed to be blonde and the guy who I believe is the manager of the Beyond Studio salon told her go wash it out at least 4x if she still didn't like after a WEEK to come back and HE would do it. Lorena flat out told me she wasn't going to do my hair and that she wasn't going to argue with me about it. Told her I wanted to talk to the manager...she said "I am the manager" smiling while saying it to. I said fine, I'll call the bank to tell them services were not rendered...since they were not...and I have called them and already told them what happened. 3 hours of my life and $205 DOWN THE DRAIN because she was too into her **** phone to pay attention to my hair in the first **** place. NEVER will tell anyone to go to Beyond Studio where she works nor to see her...especially if that's her policy but also doesn't tell customers the policy before they even leave the salon. Funny how that works, huh.

    We had just moved to the area and it had been several months since my last haircut and color. Grace helped me choose a color slightly lighter than my previous one, we talked for several minutes about what i liked and did not like. She then handed me over to her husband Edwin for my haircut. Edwin asked what i wanted to do with my hair. I had been growing it out, but was unhappy with the length and style. He made some suggestions gave me a cute bob that would be easy for me to take care of. Then it was back to Grace for my coloring. I walked out with a wonderful haircut and color, had my brows waxed and had a keratin treatment for my hair. Both Grace and Edwin treated me as if i was the most important person there even though they had other customers. They were friendly and engaging. I will definitely be going back.

    My hairstylist has just opened up a new place, and she has been great. I have been using her for 4 or 5 years. I don't know what she does for customers, but I am pretty sure she does tinting and cutting. She has all the equipment there, so she does everything. The service is very personal, always on time, very clean, and new facilities, and the salon is new. She is a small business, she is the owner and she takes is personable. She has worked for  various establishments and I have followed her everywhere she has gone.

    The lady that owns the shop is very caring and the price is phenomenal. It is great. I can call and get in. She will put me in anytime I call. I do not have to wait because I am on a very tight schedule. So if I need something done on my haircut or something, I know that I can call and get in. They go over and beyond to make you look great and that is hard to do with some people. I have been there for a long time. So, I am sure the price is a little higher for newer people, but I pay $70 for a haircut and color. I have been using them for at least ten years. When my husband was dying, she came to my house to cut my husband’s hair before he passed though. When I mean beyond, I mean beyond which she does. She said she would come and do my hair if something happened to me and I died suddenly, but she would not like it.

    I got there and checked in at the front desk. They were very friendly and professional. Krysti (Olah) came and got me within a couple of minutes and washed my hair with great smelling Awapuhi shampoo and conditioner. Then she cut and styled my hair and blew it dry. Krysti has been my stylist for a couple of years now and always does a great job. She's very talented, personable, and really listens to your needs and wants and works miracles with hair. Statements is my go-to hair care place.

    I have been going there for several years. I've always gotten a style with the cut. They listen to the customer. They're very particular about who they have work on hair, and they watch. My hair has to be styled in a very certain way to not be awful. If Royston, who is one of the owners, doesn't do it himself and lets someone else start blow-drying it, he's on it if they're not doing the right thing. I like their attention to detail and their knowledge of the customer and the customer's hair.

    After trying most hair places in my area, I have stayed w Statements for a number of years. It took a couple of trips to find the right stylist, but once I found her, I was willing to pay a little bit more to get what I want. The salon can very fast paced and during school events (prom, homecoming) it can be crowded. If an appointment is made during the day, it is s much more relaxed environment. There is a sylist that is always loud, but I just try to ignore him. They offer other services (facials, etc.) but I have not used them. I would highly recommend going here if you are willing to pay for your experience.

    Vickie does a wonderful job shampooing and massing your scalp and neck. Anna gave me a new look and it is perfect. This is my second time at the salon and I have decided this is my salon now! It is quiet and professional and yet fun and inviting. The people are friendly and professional and really concerned about how you would like to look when you leave.

    They were recommended on Angie's List and I was very satisfied with them. It was chaotic when I went there but it was organized amazingly enough. I do have to deal with sometimes a short wait, but generally speaking that's just okay because it's not a long wait. So there is sometimes a wait. I met an interesting person and she was the owner of the business, and she recommended something that I hadn't known about. I went ahead and followed her suggestion, and I was very pleased with her suggestion. I would rate my overall experience at the top. They only have one stylist and she is definitely my top rated one. The pricing is reasonable but I'm paying a premium price so I am not walking into a cut-rate discount. Their pricing depends on what I have done. If people are prepared to pay for it, then it's okay but if they are surprised by it, then they're not going to be happy. The quality of work is excellent. The owner have had people who came and gave me coffee. They are very punctual and they never cancel. They know their schedule in advance. They didn't ever cancel on me which is very important. They are definitely professional. The owner kind of created the atmosphere of being professional and taking care of their customer. I would highly recommend them.
