Dr. Staik was absolutely amazing. We were interviewing therapists, and wanted to choose one that focused on couples and had a lot of experience. Therapists usually cousel couples, but do not usually focus on couples because of the complexity and high number of failed outcomes. She called me to discuss, and I was drawn to her calm personality and tones. When we went in to see her, we just had an argument so there was a lot of tension. She dove right in to get to the root of the issue and discuss. She gave us information about couples and personality types and why the two types attract usually.  I could immediately tell she does constant research on her craft and had a lot of knowledge and experience. She sited other doctors and research and her own experiences. She was very gracious, but also very honest and direct. The other therapists we seen weren't as knowledgeable and went off of basic theory.  She gave her opinions on our issues and problems for both of us.  She was a great listener.  She also didn't have the fairytale expectations that most present.  She was a realist, and gave concrete reasons based on evidence and experience.
If you're shopping for a couples therapist - please see her.  Although she is pricey, she will save you time and money by immediate action and advice.  She does ask key questions like all others, but then she dives right in.  She doesn't waste time, and I most appreciate that.  She will also tell you if you're wrong and why - instead of the typical "Well, why do you think that is?  OR How do you think that makes him/her feel?"
     GREAT THERAPIST!!!!!

Dr. Marquis is fabulous. She is a highly skilled, compassionate healer who has helped me make changes for the better in my life. She helped me to get to the bottom of my problems, face my fears, and calm my anxieties. It is so nice to have someone answer my questions who has the wealth of knowledge and experience as she does. Dr. Marquis has gone above and beyond to help me reach my goals, and I highly recommend her as a clinical psychologist.

Awful. From even making an appointment... No one ever answers the phone- have to listen to a very lengthy automated voicemail. No prompt calls back even after multiple messages. She does not have her clients best interests at heart. Their billing is a mess as well- their billing person is confused. I received an initial bill in the same exact envelope as a late notice for the same office visit - really? Do yourself a favor and find someone who cares.

We are active duty military with Tricare Prime and was told by one of the counselors, Charlisha Morris, that there was a $25 co-pay per visit per child. When I called Tricare to verify, I was told that there should be no copayment as Blue Ridge is covered 100% by Tricare. Because of this I decided not to move forward with Charli Morris or Blue Ridge.

We (my wife, friend "L", and I) called upon Dr. Decker from learning about him from a friend of ours, "B"."B" had told us how much Dr. Decker her and her family. "B" and her two kids continued to see Dr. Decker after her husband, our friend, had pasted away. We were told how great he was with " B" and the kids in helping with their grief. I had contacted Dr Decker on Oct.25, 28 and the 29th, to set up an appointment for my wife, our friend "L" ,myself and our friend "B". As we all were having some issues communicating.Plus my wife, our fiend "L" and myself needed some help with our grief. I left three messages explaining our issues. I never once got a call back, even after begging for help. My wife called Nov. 4th. Left a message that she had been diagnosed with depression before and needed some help with her grief. No call back k from Dr. Decker. Our friend " L" called and left a message on Nov. 6th. Explained her mental issues and concerns. Again, no call back from Dr. Decker. Our concern is a Doctor/Therapist is ignoring crys for help. What kind of Doctor/Therapist does that to people? What kind of damage is he doing to "B" and her children as a "grief" consuler?

Both my daughter and I saw Dr. Wood.  We liked him because he prescribed medicine like candy...  However, he watched me put on 70 pounds from medications and never said a word... and I was in such a blur, it never even occurred to me to ask.  He also had no qualms about providing addictive meds.  He sent my 14 year old daughter to a day-care type treatment facility that was mainly populated by drug addicted and alcoholic teenagers.  The kids on the bus were smoking pot.  The staff there was totally unqualified for what they were supposedly doing.  When I finally asked, they wouldn't even tell me their credentials.  I suspect that doctors who sent patients there got some sort of kickbacks.  The onsite psychiatrist (Dr. Dennis Cozzens) sent me a bill for seeing my daughter privately, every day, for 6 weeks.  She saw him once or twice a week in a GROUP.  I never paid, he never re-billed.  My daughter suffered from depression and "school refusal."  They took her on a field trip to Lorton Reformatory, where they asked her what her crime was!
NOBODY in the US needs to be concerned about Dr. Wood any more.  The inside story is that his license was taken away by the Commonwealth of Virginia because of alleged "fraternization" with the mother of a patient -- a patient he prescribed for without even seeing!  I suspect that he "officially retired" because he was 60 (?) years old and no longer wanted to bother fighting the accusation.
HOWEVER, be warned.  I suspect that he is practicing in Canada... if not in any state other than Virginia.  Dr. Cozzens is still practicing psychiatry in Northern Virginia.

Dr Rasheed monitors and adjusts my 7 year old daughters meds for Autism, ADHD, and BiPolar Disorder. He spends about 20 minutes asking direct questions and goes back over them with you if he has any questions. He also answers questions directly and to the point.
I see him in the Woodbridge VA office of Child and Family Counseling Center

I moved to Virginia 15 years ago having just been diagnosed with Bi-polar Disorder. Over the years I had seen several psychiatrists but no one picked up on my illness. It took a total collapse to get a correct diagnosis. After my initial consultation with Dr. Sternberg I am certain that he would have diagnosed it correctly. The first visit was thorough and compassionate and I immediately knew that I could trust him to take the best care of me. This is a difficult to treat illness and requires a very special doctor-paitient relationship. That was 15 years ago and I am so happy to say that we have found a magical combination of three medications that keep me stable and content. Dr. Sternberg believes in having a partnership with me in my treatment and we proceeded as aggressively but safely as I wished. I consider myself one lucky person to have found the best psychiatrist in Virginia! So, even if you suspect but don't know if you need a psychiatrist, I would encourage you to see Dr. Sternberg. He will be direct and honest with you and then you can decide for yourself.

The most incompetent office staff I've ever encountered.  I had made 3 different appointments with the staff and 2 of the 3 got messed up and I wasn't on the schedule for 2 of the 3.  The second appointment went okay except what I said about the doctor.  The only saving grace about the whole office was the PA.  She was very nice and I felt I was in good hands with her.

There are only 2 Necrologies shown on Angies List for Woodbridge, VA, guess I'll have to look else were.

Went once, but never again. The doctor was more interested in my personal life than my symptoms. He told me nothing, but wrote prescriptions for two tests including a sleep study at a facility he owns.
