  We live in a house has 1771 on the top corner, and most people who come and work, get very frustrated with the "unintended" consequences that erupt. I hate carpet now, and wanted to remove it on the log cabin side, I was prepared to buy the hardwood from the store, but Don came and encouraged me to use the existing floor-despite missing boards and nail heads peaking out. I contacted him by phone in March, he followed up with me a few weeks before his scheduled time, and again called a few days before coming. I was already getting nervous as we were very busy-nonetheless, he did it as he said, despite our lack of ac, handled a pipe burst, and 6 granddaughters running around the house. He was able to find boards in the barn to make it work, and everyone is astounded by the beauty of the room. I highly recommend him, and I am tempted to have the rest of the house done, but too busy at the moment!

  Don did an amazing job. He was able to perfectly match the existing flooring in the hallways with the new flooring in the bedrooms. Ditto with the flooring in the family room with the flooring in the kitchen. It looks utterly amazing. Don was so professional. He came to the house with a binder of his work for me to review, he was on-time, and he was very pleasant and respectful. The pricing for the job was very reasonable and he provided an estimate for various options we were considering. He completed the work in the estimated times and cleaned the ENTIRE house so that there wouldn't be any sawdust or residue. I can't recommend Don highly enough. He's awesome!

  It was beautiful work. Cabinets are great construction with soft close. I didn't have any extra charges and I realize sometime things may come up. The crew personality was pleasant, cleaned up nicely. I would love to do more work. My next project kids rooms with carpet.

  I was getting desperate to find someone to add new wood flooring and finish some old flooring because of a remodel job that was done.

  Since we had several walls taken out, it left us with some screwed up flooring so I began my search within the Winchester and Loudoun area and to my amazement my job was either to small and not worth anyone's time to do or they just didn't call back or made excuse up that they were way to busy, Really??

  I found Mikes custom flooring by way of a review so I called and he came out gave me a quote with a very good price, so within a month they started the job and finished the job and it looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

  No hassle with a great group of guys that he has working for him.

  It went really well although somewhat longer than anticipated. Brett, and his team are very attentive to detail and are completely professional with their work. When I went out of town for about three weeks in February, I left a key with Brett so he and his team could continue with the work. They always locked the house when leaving for the day.. I was never disappointed. The house was always left clean which my wife really appreciated. They even did some extras like installing my new TV and sound system at no extra cost.   Dan Fier was the epitome of professionalism. He is a very thorough communicator. The estimate was very detailed. He stayed in close touch throughout the process. Dan sold us on the benefits of site-finished hardwood as opposed to pre-finished although he willingly provided an estimate for both. This was a good deal more expensive than we had expected and required a redo on the estimate. We opted to not use hardwood in the kitchen and compromised on the grade of the hardwood to meet the budget requirements. Dan custom stained some samples of the wood that would be used to help us make the final choice on finish. All the workers were friendly and efficient and the worksite was left as neat as possible every day. We are delighted with the results.

  They did what we had asked. It did take a day longer than they had anticipated and they couldn't finish it the next day, so it extended it by a few days. Overall, they did a nice job and we're happy with the finished product.

  I just want to say that this business is one that will go above and beyond to make things go smoothly:) Dana is so professional and business like and keeps things running like a well oiled machine:)  Dana calls and keeps you posted and was there from start to finish for us:)  Greg and Dee Dee worked with us on our budget and Gary, the installer (he sometimes runs a bit late:) is meticulous and takes great pride in his work. Gary and his helper, James did a beautiful job installing our floors.  I would HIGHLY recommend The Floor shop for all your flooring needs:)  This is a 5 star business:)

  Renovation Concepts

  It went wonderfully.
  First of all, my wife and I decided to go with this company because they did not just blindly go with our design but also suggested changes that greatly improved the final product.
  PJ was very professional and he and his employees could always be trusted to do an excellent job.  Additionally, they weren't afraid to come to us with questions along the way to make sure we got exactly the best kitchen that we could, and everybody was friendly.
  Now everything is done and it looks absolutely fantastic.  We have beautiful new cabinets and a great granite countertop and everything.  Also, they were able to do all that even though our house had unexpected plumbing, ducting, etc.  behind the walls and other such surprises.
  There is no doubt that it would highly recommend their services and will surely go back to them if more such renovation is required in the future.

  ATHEY'S FLOOR SANDING & FINISHING

  Mr. Athey and his assistant came by for a quick consultation and I knew immediately we wanted to work with them. We needed several rooms of our new house sanded and refinished. One room had a massive water stain that discolored the floor. He measured the rooms like any seasoned pro and gave me a few estimates depending on whether or not some damage was
  irreparable. The good news is that the sanding and refinishing took less than a week and no additional work was needed for the damaged areas. A pleasure to work with.
