Dr. Via has been our youngest daughter's physician since her birth in 2014.  Although not "recommended" by the nurses at the hospital, after I chose Dr. Via as my pediatrician, the nurses overwhelmingly agreed he was a great choice.  Dr. Via and his staff are kind and patient.  Dr. Via spends a lot of time with my daughter and thoroughly answers my questions.  He allows me to use the Sears' immunization schedule and never questioned my desire to delay the Hepatitis series of vaccinations for a few months. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a pediatrician who loves what he does and cares about children.

Dr. Kristina Powell is one of the BEST pediatricians I have ever met.   She TRULY cares about her patients and will do whatever she can to ensure that her patients get the best treatment possible.  Dr. Powell has an AMAZING bedside manner.  She goes above and beyond every time I bring my daughter to see her.  Thank you, Dr. Powell!!  You are truly THE best!!!

We were new to the area and didn't have a doctor yet and I needed to get 2 well visits in with a male doctor, in a short period of time. I was able to book Dr. Mares with only about a week's notice. There was no problem with scheduling at all. The person on the phone was very polite and helpful so I was able to get an appointment for both boys quickly. I had literally no wait time at the office. They do recommend new patients to come about 1/2 hr early for paperwork - but I only had to do that for the first boy, and then took the papers home to do before the second's appointment. For both boys I had no wait time, the office staff was very friendly and helpful to me.  Dr. Mares was very polite, I was in the room with my sons the whole time. He took his time with the boys even though it was only a well visit and was not rushing to get me out - and answered any questions I had. I was happy with the care at the appointment and will go back there for any other needs my children may have.

He was very knowledgeable, and had very good bedside manner. I scheduled the appointment the time I was there on the 25th. She is fine, and answered all the questions. They booked her next appointment.

We really like her. They are very professional, and very knowledgeable. I like that they have a well baby, and a sick side when you come in. That was the first time we ever used her. They were pretty conscious that she is a foster, and sometimes the mom may visit with her for the well visits. I really liked working with the staff, they were very professional. They even called me about a week after she was done to let me know that everything came out great in the blood screen work.

We have used Pediatric Associates of Williamsburg for over a year after being referred to one of the their doctors after we moved to the area. We have visited the office for several well checks and a couple of sick visits. Each appointment went array in some way or another; either from exceptionally long wait time, to misdiagnosis, or lack of bedside manner and/or attention to patient's comfort level. Each visit some utility or equipment is malfunctioning (I.e. printer, phones, computer, electricity/generator) and is always to blame for lack of service or office readiness.
I like two of the M.D.s on a personal basis, but on average we only spend 10-15 minutes of the hour appointment with the doctor directly. Due to hospital affiliation and management style. Our expectations of service will be better met somewhere else.
This provider WILL NOT schedule more than two appointments at a time - acceptable only for families with two or less children.

Our doctor just enjoys working with kids. My wife really liked how they interacted with my son when he was born so we decided to go back to them for our daughter. They have a twenty four-seven nurse line for help and they are very, very competent. I am glad I am using them for my children's healthcare. Our doctor is just really good with kids, she interacts even with my six-month baby, both our kids don't seem to be alarmed by her presence, and they respond well to her. They let us know everything we need to know and give us handouts on information on development of children, on what to expect and fliers on immunizations, so they have very good communication. Billing has never been a problem.

I love these doctors. My son has seen them for three years and they've a always been wonderful whether he's been sick or well. The staff there is great, they always remember my son and are so happy to see him! They've seen him through many problems, with milk, ear infections, and others.

Jane Henley and Dr. Dry are great!! Dr. Dewitt, not so much....Our children have seen several of the doctors in this practice and even the nurse practitioner, Jane Henley, who is phenomenal if you get a chance to visit with her. We have seen Dr. Dry who is also great and works very well, particularly with our baby--she played with him and even read a book to him before checking him out. So far, the women are who we have had the best overall success with here. Dr. Dewitt, however, is another story. On two seperate occasions we have received, what I feel to be, inadequate treatment, to say the least. I will say that he is an older gentleman and although he is very nice with the children, he appears to be very traditional, old-fashioned and set in his ways. His serious suggestion for an inquiry I made about how long I should allow our baby to cry as we worked to get him to sleep on his own was "Oh, 5 or 6 hours!!" I was pretty appalled at that comment and thought he was off his rocker. After reading several articles we tried a method where we laid the baby down and let him cry for 5 minutes and went to check on him, increasing our checks by 5 minutes each time. After about 40 minutes the first day, he was out like a light and that time frame decreased little by little everyday after until he just laid himself down every night and knew it was bedtime, but I digress. My main concern with Dr. Dewitt is a visit that my older son had with him where he had bronchitis-like symptoms--a terribly hoarse, dry cough and severe nausea--not typical with your usual cold symptoms. After checking him out for about 5 minutes he siad that he had a mere cold and to do the usual at-home treatments and that it would eventually go away. Two days later, I had to take my son to the emergency room where they made the wise decision to do a chest x-ray since they weren't hearing anything through the stethoscope and given the symptoms there was obviously something bigger going on. Sure enough, he had pneumonia in the lower lobe of his lung--pneumonia that Dr. Dewitt casually dismissed as a cold after a very brief check-up. Needless to say, we now specifically request not to be seen by this Dr.

We just moved to the area and I used Angie's List to find a pediatric doctor for my children. We arrived at the office 15 min early as suggested when I originally made the appointment and even filled out online forms for new patients to avoid any delays. The office was packed and we sat in the office for 45min seeing the entire room of original and NEW patients empty. After 45min, I finally said something to the receptionist and she informed me that there was yet another patient in front of us! Most doctor offices these days will have signs that say if you haven't been waited on within 15min, please inform them. Nothing like that was evident at this office.
Within 10-15min, we were finally brought back and the nurse apologized and said that they would quickly work to get us out. Apparently the nurse assigned to our doctor was super slow that day. Whatever the case, the office needs to be more aware of what is happening and whether or not patients are waiting too long. In the end, this appointment took us 2hrs!!
In terms of our doctor, I felt she needed a bit more bed side manner and how about a smile?? You are working with children. I will be looking for another pediatrician.
