AAt first I was a little hesitant being I have always gone to the office of an eye Dr. instead of online. I can’t say enough good things about ReplaceAlens. Alex & team didn’t hesitate to do whatever was needed to make be a believer & THEY WERE AWESOME! Alex told me what they would do & leave the results up to me. I had a very nice pair of eye frames I hated to part with, They explained the process in a very easy way that I could understand. I basically forgot about my glasses. They came in the mail today. I put them on & was BLOWN AWAY! My vision is perfect & I mean PERFECT! That went exactly off my new prescription & did an outstanding job. I won’t hesitate to use them again! Pull your favorite frames out of the drawer & give it a shot. It will work for you as well. Thank you again Alex & TEAM! Marty Hunt

FDr Christina Dixon was the provider. She has horrible dr/patient manners. Tried insisting I throw out contacts I was wearing as the were "dirty" although they were a week old and she said she didn't care for that brand. She also was miffed I said I don't change my contact soln nightly and typed notes in her computer with making a comment of there my lawyer would approve of this. What the heck is that all about! I was just wanting to get new contact lenses. This lady is crazy! She did order me new ones and we were trying a different presription. I told her one was definitely not working it was making me dizzy (too high of a RX) she ordered me the same prescription my old contacts were then I told her now the left was doing the same. I eneded up just ordering the same Rx which I know is not the righ prescription because after her horrible bedside manner, like when I commented it was cold in the office she told me I needed to gain weight! So I politely replied at this point with maybe some people should just be a little healthier and loose weight.. I really have no idea where this animosity was coming from I just wanted contacts. Her final comment of how the area will be such a better community with me in it, makes me let everyone I know to never come to this facility! THe front office girls were very pleasant to work with just not the doctor.

Good front of the house. Receptionist is friendly and efficient. I was called promptly at 09:30, the time of my appointment.
There was some confusion about a service the tech wanted to perform (Optical photography - a $20.00 additional charge) since it had been performed the last time I was here My tech checked with the doctor and said that, although this is standard procedure, she didn't have to perform it today.
I saw Dr. Mitra Madison who gave me the examination and, since I am starting to experience difficulty with night vision, gave me a more detailed examination. She was thorough and very professional, while keeping me at ease throughout the entire exam.
I must confess a certain amount of "sticker shock" when my lenses - they will use my current frames - came to $188 even after medicare and insurance. Of course, it's been a while since I got glasses. so I could be out of touch with current prices.
As far as I am concerned, I've found my family eye care professionals and would recommend them to anyone.

AI have been going to this office for 10 years and have always been satisfied with my eye exams and fitting of glasses. I've never had any problems with any part of the visits or with billing. The only negative comment I have is that the visit takes longer than it probably should. I normally wait in the waiting area, then again in the exam room, and sometimes again to be fitted for glasses. It's not a huge problem for me and since it's only once every year or two I can deal with it. I like going there and have liked every pair of glasses I've gotten.

AThis is a new practice right next to the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. It is very nice and the front staff were friendly. I saw Dr. Helen Song - she explained some issues I was having after conducting a thorough and efficient exam. I was happy with the practice and will go back. My only complaint was that I waited to be seen for what seemed like quite a while (20-30 minutes), and I was the only one in the waiting room.

BMaking an appointment was pretty easy and the date was only a week or less from when I called to make the appointment. The office is pretty small with limited seating and really no comfortable place to stand if the seats are full. The staff are nice enough, smiling and interacting with patients. Since it was my first visit to this optometrist, I had to sit with someone to fill out medical history and the like. After that point I was seen by Dr. Gilchrist in a short while. He seems to be the kind of old fashioned type doctor without the gentleness, kind humor and small talk. He is not rude or overbearing, just not the type to be your "buddy" after one visit. (I actually found this pleasant, but, I don't like small talk and personal intrusions anyway.) He did his job efficiently and effectively. The worst part was the lack of selection of frames. I have a large face and it was very hard to find frames that would fit correctly and still be half-way decent looking. The frames they have on display are all very similar in styling and size. I would like to see more of a selection. Fortunately, a staff member went to look in the back and found a pair that was functional for my situation. Paying the bill was easy enough and the staff member handling it was more than willing to help me understand what my insurance would cover and to make it as smooth as possible. I was told the glasses would be ready in 7-10 days and they would call me when they came in. I must say that I am on my significant other's insurance policy and he is also a patient there. My personal information was on my chart including my phone number and no mention of significant other. When my glasses were in, it was him they called and left a message. Of course, it was after closing when I actually got the relay of the message. Fortunately, I had taken my prescription and ordered "backup" glasses online and had already received them so I was not in a lurch. I've been so happy (and busy) with my online glasses that I didn't get to the office to pick up the glasses there until 05 June. The glasses are the correct prescription and serve their purpose, so, overall not a bad experience. Well, except for the not actually calling me issue.
*Sorry for the exceptionally bad grammar.*

ADr Dixon took the same care that he had used the last time I visited his office. He remembered from my last visit that I had undergone LASIX surgery. That rendered the results from the automatic diagnostics questionable. He performed the manual exam to ensure that the findings were correct. Dr. Davis was key in preventing me from having cataract surgery which was unnecessary. I had gone to an optometrist who stated that I needed to have cataract surgery which would have cost me nearly 7 thousand dollars. That was more than 10 years ago and I still have not had any problems with my eyes and no cataracts. Dr Davis will always be my optometrist. I am sure that he has my best interest at heart more than filling his wallet.

BThe eye exam went very well, I was well pleased but I am not happy with the lenses I was basically talked into buying. I never wear my glasses because I really just wanted bi-focals and the graduated lenses are frustrating. I have to tip my head way up to see close stuff, and way down to see distance which really is pretty okay even without lenses.
I was not warned that I would need sunglasses after my eyes were dilated and was half way out the door when I realized I was basically blind in sunlight - then the staff gave me a pair of temporary sunglasses. They did not try to talk me into expensive frames so that was nice. I did not go back to complain about anything - happy enough with the actual eye exam itself.

ADixon, Dr. Kevin L.I call d the office the morning after my son scratched my eye and the staff was very friendly and understanding and told me to just come on in. I was in the waiting room for less than 10 mins before Dr Dixon saw me and he was great. Very friendly and attentive answered all my questions and was very informative. He gave me a contact to wear and some eye drops and told me to come back the next day to take out the contact. the only i did not like was that they charged me a co-pay for my check back on my eye and i felt like that should have been covered under the initial visit. I will go back if needed.- heidi e.
