    The Exam went well and so far I think my presciption is ok. However, the glasses I purchased from their store has been a nightmare. I purchased 1 pair safety glasses, 1 pair of personal use glasses,and had lenses put in a pair of old frames I had. I had to return all three pair for issues that needed to be fixed. 1 Pair that I bought from them I had to return twice and they are still not right. I am so frustrated that I could just scream. I spent 1600.00 of my own money and my insurance paid out around 600.00. I used up 3 extra vacation days running back and fourth, and my frames are still not right. I will never use their eye glass and frame store again.

    I usually visit my opthamologist every two years for a routine examination. I began having some unusual headaches, which I first thought were sinus related. I saw an ENT who ruled out any sinus issues, and he suggested having an eye exam. So, I scheduled an appointment with my opthamologist. I discussed the problem with him, and he gave my eyes a thorough examination. He found no problems, and suggested that I might see a neurologist if the headaches persisted. An optometrist also checked my eyeglass prescription while I was there and found that there was no change. The staff and doctors were very efficient and pleasant. The wait time was not too long, around 20 minutes or so, which is normal for this office. Billing was handled promptly and efficiently.

    Dr. Pascarela is a very kind, considerate doctor. He is very thorough and explains everything in detail. He has referred me back in 6 months to see an eye surgeon for possible removal of cataracts. The office and administrative staff were very kind and caring also and when I mentioned I should not have to pay for refractory since I was on Medicare they took it off of my bill.

    A couple of years ago, after seeing another eye doctor for a while, I switched back to Augusta Eye Associates. As it turned out, my contact lens prescription was all wrong and once that was rectified the difference was night and day in my comfort and sight. I return every year for annual eye exam, and this is also where I have gone previously for an eye infection. Very competent providers.

    Earlier in the year, on Feb. 2, I went to Dr. Shields for an eye exam. I realized soon after picking up my glasses that really could not see clearly from either the new glasses or the new sunglasses, but thought I was stuck with them. On May 6, I went in for an eye infection and told his assistant about my glasses. She said by all means bring them back. I did and did not have to pay to have the prescription redone!!! The service was really wonderful!!

    They are very reputable. They are not cheap. You could probably go somewhere else to get a better price, but we are going to stick with them. They are just good. They do what they say. They keep their appointments when they are due.

    The fitting and subsequent order when very well. I narrowed down choice of frames to a just a few, (there are many, many choices available) at which point several of the Augusta Eye employees gave me feedback concerning the best looking galsses on me. I was able to get an immediate price quote, made a small downpayment, and order was placed. It took a few weeks to in and everything was perfect. I have had an issue once before with a pair of prescription sunglasses from Augusta Eye. In that case it took a few weeks and 2 different lenses to correct the issue, but Augusta gave me a nice discount to make up for the time and frustration. The only negative is the lack of weekend hours and short evening hours, making it difficult to come in for those of us with Mon-Fri jobs.
