I was worried about the sub-floor underneath my living room oak floor. I
wanted certain floor boards pulled up and the sub-flloor checked. Larry
is very personable, came out took measurements on the wood, said it was
custom and would have to be milled, the whole floor restained
afterward, etc. Then I never got an estimate. I was disappointed. Was
    the job to small? Complicated?

I knew they're a good company through word of mouth but I remember looking up the review and I would say they're A+ but to me, they're a little expensive because they do such a good job. The Angie's List discount which was 5% off helped make it a little bit more easier to swallow. There was a lot of job done. We moved some of the furniture ourselves but they moved it back. So we saved some money because we did a lot of the moving ourselves. I met with them a couple of times and they helped us through the process because I made the floors darker. We had to figure out what worked well with the furniture, would it meld with the staircase edges which are wood. So we wen through all that because there were some concerns. They were excellent. You have to go away when they start the job and when we came back, it was like wow.

We use them because they had decent reviews and were close. At installation, we did find that one of the carpets was out of stock and that took several more weeks to come in so being home and preparing twice for the install was a pain in the wazoo.
There were a couple of problems but PF was fairly responsive. The installers cut my business phone wires while installing in my home office. I did not realize I had no phone for several days: Even though these wires were pointed out at time of installation, and it seems they should not have been damaged, these things happen and PF offered to fix or reimburse.
The really weird thing was the padding installed on the entire upper floor had and quot;squeaksand quot; in it. It took a few conversations to convince them I was not loosing my mind---it was NOT the floor boards. Sure enough, they first sent a rep who heard what I heard then they sent a couple of crew back out a week or so later. It was confirmed that the padding had hard pieces/chips in it (best description I can think of) that would sound like a little squeak or muffled krrrkk sound when stepped on.
It was not everywhere but in many places. You would only notice when you actually stepped on that specific spot.. The crew lifted up the carpeting and replaced at least a half-dozen spots that I knew of and they found additional spots in the MBR and hallway. No doubt, there are more under beds or near walls. I suspect the padding was flawed--not PF's fault--but I did not ask for the entire padding to be replaced.
Between part of the initial order being out of stock and then the weird krrrkk sounds, I had not paid PL the final 50%. I am glad to say PF did not make an issue of this while I still had the outstanding issue. The installation itself seemed well done with no obvious seems, poor planning, or incompetent installers.
I would use them again...they probably deserve between an A and a B.

    FLOORware
I had five estimates done for installation of solid hardwood BR111 flooring for a sunroom measuring approximately 14' x 30'. There was carpet and padding in the room that had to be removed and placed into another room downstairs. Also had them correct someone else's mistake and had approximately 40' of shoe molding installed in another room. Of the five people that came out, one was a definite no...not very professional, late for the appt, etc., and one was a no show...of the remaining three Sasan Maymandi with Floorware stood out. He was prompt, courteous, professional and gave us a written, detailed estimate. He KNOWS flooring. I presented to him the previous Angies List reviews and was impressed by his honesty and forthrightness. He followed through on every appointment and was always available on the phone to answer my questions. He most kindly adjusted his schedule to meet ours in so far as delivery of the flooring. The installation crew was professional, prompt, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. I am 100% satisfied with their workmanship and the floor looks great! I have nothing but praises for Sasan and Floorware. I do not anticipate any problems with this new floor, but I am positive that Sasan will follow up, if needed.

They were good. They came out quickly for the estimate. The estimate seemed reasonable. I believe it was around $3,500 for about 800-1,000 square feet of surface.
