  • First of all, My Guys Moving has the best customer service I have ever experienced. It felt like I was at Chic-Fil-A for moving!!! We got three separate quotes from Angie's list; My Guys Moving was in the middle. The top quote was astronomically expensive, and the lowest quote was waaayy too low; you could tell they just wanted to come in at the lowest spot to get the job. MGM was also the ONLY company to actually come to our home and look at our furniture/boxes in person at no risk or obligation to us. Austin (who did our estimate) even suggested that we leave our dressers and chests full of clothes and they could still wrap and move them full of clothes, no problem! I scheduled our move with Renee, who was absolutely phenomenal. They did charge us a $350 overnight storage fee since we were moving out/in on separate days. On the day of our move in, the closing of our new home was unexpectedly rescheduled for later in the afternoon. I panicked. I called Renee immediately and she was super accommodating and was able to change our appointment to later in the afternoon, no problem and with no penalties. The crew was super professional and efficient, and exactly on time both days, even with the last minute rescheduling. They wrapped everything very carefully and nothing was broken or damaged. I would recommend them to anyone, and plan to use them again in the future.

  • We had a great experience with Zippy Shell. I contacted 6 moving/storage companies and they were the most reasonably priced, responsive and were flexible to my needs. The movers were professional, quick and paid attention to detail with much of our fragile furniture and boxes.

  • First, the moving team that did the work were very polite and efficient. The person that did the initial quote, Kory, did an onsite walkthrough and even video taped the house in order to develop our moving quote. Upon review, it seemed comprehensive and included some items which we were going to move or do ourselves (disassemble/reassemble tables and beds). I sent Kory multiple texts and e-mails asking if I needed to validate the quote, item by item, and didn't get any responses to my questions. The quote was not organized by room or floor, do validating it was going to be very difficult. Also, we knew that we were going to do a significant amount of work in advance. We spent two days prior to the move date moving items out of the house and staging as much as possible in the garage to make the move faster and easier. The move ended up costing us 10% more than we originally planned, originally it was 20% more, until I complained. I feel that we were put into a bait and switch situation.

  • These guys rocked it! The crew of three showed up early and got straight to work - no wasting time, no fiddling around. They worked hard and finished the move in less than the estimated time. All three of the crew were clean-cut and friendly. They used lots of pads to protect our furniture and used a plastic wrapping film on top of the pads to help keep everything clean. If Angie's List would let me give them an A+, I would. We will eventually sell our house and need to move into another one. When that time comes, we're calling Dave The Mover!

  • Perfect...very friendly and professional. Loved the music played to keep the move light and playful but there was no lolly-gagging...we hired 10 men and it took 4 trucks. They were all introduced themselves and we're polite the ENTIRE time. Nothing was damaged. It took 9 hours start to finish. They were the cheapest by far out of the quotes I got. I've already recommended them to 2 friends that are moving soon and they both said the the quote was definitely the best. I was even impressed they ate lunch in the truck, took 30min. and then right back to work. You can't go wrong with Randall.

  • Had to move from a large house into several smaller spaces. Great at estimating and providing wise advice. Flexible and extremely competent--from the planning to the crews. Absolutely love the company and would use them again.

  • This was the second time I used this company to move, when I sold my last house I moved into a rental while my home was being built and then just now when we moved into our new home (about 4 months later). Somehow the price ended up doubling. But the amount of furniture and belongings did not. 

    The first time, some things were broken but Alex called me back and was forthright about it and refunded me for those items. Luckily, they were not sentimental so I was fine with the refund.

    The second time, it was a different crew. It was a totally different experience. The team leader would only listen to instruction from my husband. My guess is that he had an issue with a woman giving instructions. He also intentionally moved things where he thought they were most convenient and not to where I needed them to be. Leaving me to move everything again by myself. Regardless of my repeated requests to have the furniture put in particular places. He said he would move it back later but who wants to pay for things to be moved twice? I found a broken candle holder that no one brought to my attention, they just hid it in my garage. 

    Before I wrote this review, I emailed Alex to give him an opportunity to rectify this. Alex turned out to be the team leader that made a mess of my move and disrespected me. He called me to tell me he didn't agree with my feedback. He offered no resolution, not even for the broken candle holder. Not even an apology. Nothing. He just said; "you had so much stuff. As if me having "so much stuff caused them to break something and hide it from me. He just called to lecture me for being . 

    Overall, very disappointed. I'm not the kind of person that can shrug off being disrespected lightly. They should have felt lucky to have had the opportunity make things right before I left a bad but truthful review but he didn't. He responded with an emotional attack. That's not the way you do business if you want your business to be successful. 

    ****Response to Providers Response: You're right, I was nice to your team, giving you a case of sodas, chicken wings and pizza, and a tip. The tip was because I told you on each occasion we spoken that your two employees were wonderful. THEY were respectful. When I asked them to take furniture to a specific place, they took it there. YOU were the only one that showed blatant disrespect towards me. I didn't find the broken candle holder until after you left. I didn't find on average 4 boxes in each room that belonged in other rooms. It was like every time I wasn't insight you would just stick things wherever you wanted. Regarding the basement furniture, I agreed that we could move that last. You and I both know that wasn't what I was referring to. You're being misleading to potential customers reading this thread. So you're not just disrespectful to women, you're a liar too. If you felt that you worked too hard to be criticized, then choose a different profession. This does not suit you. 

    And remember, when you sent 3 of your employees to move the same household 4 moths prior, YOU charged me half as much. Why would you double your price in 4 months???

  • We were very pleased with the move on both ends.   All employees were very courteous and respectful.   They worked hard and quickly, taking only 1/2 day to do each part of the move.  We had already packed and moved some things, so we probably had less items than most people would have.   Items were carefully wrapped, packed, and labeled.   The movers who delivered our belongings placed items where I requested, and were even willing to move furniture around if I asked.   They reassembled all items that had been taken apart in Maryland, even trying to fix the damaged area on the computer desk.  All trash was collected and taken with them on both ends of the move.   We would definitely use this company again.

  • On the day of my move I was given a different price and I had to pay $1,107.75 more. This was unacceptable when he had already given me a price. I had another company come in with a comparable quote but I chose to use Sterling Van Lines as my fiancé had used them before. They have been contacted by phone at least six times with no reply back. A letter was also sent to the company December 11, 2014 and no response. I have an itemized list of damages with photos and I also had items missing. I do not know why they can't respond to rectify damages and lost items.
