    call on MondayI scheduled a complete physical with Dr. Bell.  I went in on the day of the appt and had my blood work (CBC) done, my height and weight recorded and a blood pressure check.  I discussed an abbreviated health history with Dr. Bell and explained my concerns for losing weight.  She recommended a new drug and I decided to try it.  I had severe side effects after 2 months on the drug and wanted to change back to the other drug.  I have called the office and left msg to no avail.  The RN assistant called and told me that Dr. Bell was taking a course and she would return my call.  She has not.

    It has been a pretty good experience. I have been seeing him for ten years. Dr. Chang answers my questions, he is very informative. I book far out, so I don’t have any problems with availability. The office rooms are okay. They have a lot of kids in there, so I guess; they work with kids as well. When I am there, I have not had to wait too long.

    I have had pretty good luck with him over the years and I have been seeing him for quite a while. He is nice. He is personable and very professional. He has pretty much his own office now and he has a very nice setup, it looks like a hospital set up, you go back and you get the room setup like a hospital. It is a full service. His name sounds like he is Asian but he is six foot tall, doesn’t look at all Asian, so I don’t know about that but he is nice. I was there when Robert came out and he answered all our questions and gave us pictures, and a full report of what everything was. He is good. It didn’t seem like it took long to set up our appointment.  The office is excellent. The procedure room is very nice too. I went down and I needed to get some reports for my kidney transplant and they set up an appointment and they were going to charge for it upfront. He came back, looked at what was needed, looked at the reports and said, we are not going to charge you for this and told his staff not to charge for getting the reports. That was excellent.

    No tests were ran at all. I was told to get a CT Scan and that showed nothing. After taking a few days to get the CT Scan I had to call to get the results and wait for a return call that took a few days. She told me that she didn't have a clue what it could be. I was told to get an Ultrasound and had called to see if it was received at Dr. Bell's office, it had sat in her inbox for 3 days and I had called twice to see if she had looked at it. Going through great pain and feeling very scared by the results I have yet to receive a call back. With no direction or what to do I feel at a great loss with the doctor. I will not be returning to this office. Just too slow and doesn't show that she cares.
    10 days later and still haven't heard a word, left 2 messages with the receptionist. I've had to move onto another doctor that has gone on to check for cancer and still running tests at least they are doing something. I had to go retrieve my scans at the hospital.

    I was very impressed with his website but not with the in-person experience. I found Dr. Chang to be rather cold, abrupt, quiet and reticent. I expected lots of helpful information and advice since his website is so informative. But no. I wish he would have offered more information about possible causes, procedures and treatments. After a quick cleaning of the ear which did not help my problem, he offered an endoscope on the spot. I was taken aback and said I had to think about that. He did not offer explanations of why going through the nose would help my ear, what would be involved, what the possible causes were of my problem. I felt suddenly dismissed and am looking for someone else to go to.

    I have been a patient of Dr. Simpson for over 20 years. He may recommend treatment/procedures, but the final authority is you! He is thorough, patient (in no hurry to send you out the door) and in my humble opinion an excellent physician to have on your side.

    The doctors are amazing, they are very knowledgeable, and they have great bed side manners. I have been going there for almost 10 years and I have never felt like just a number in a crowd. I always felt like a very cared for individual. The doctors are good listeners and they delivered my first baby and I am now 6 months pregnant and I have recommended as many people as possible to them.

    When calling to schedule a new patient annual well-woman exam, I was told availability was two months out (not unusual in this area), and booked my appointment for the Leesburg office with Dr. Jane Allen.
    Upon my arrival at the office, I was greeted by a receptionist who appeared to be poorly trained and unprepared to receive and process patients. She was more interested in chatting with the co-workers standing behind her than greeting patients.
    The wait time in the reception area was 20 minutes, not exceptionally long in an ob/gyn office, however, it was freezing and made the wait time seem longer. Dr. Allen's nurse (whose name I unfortunately can't remember) was the highlight of the visit, and greeted me with courteous professionalism and escorted me to the exam room. During her basic processing and questions, she expressed a genuine interest in her patients' well-being, and left me feeling that I was in the hands of a caring practice, despite my initial experience in reception.
    Dr. Allen's greeting upon entering the room communicated a lack of interest in being present that day, and she proceeded directly to the physical part of the exam. As a new patient, I had expected a few questions beyond what the nurse had asked, or at least a moment or two to establish a bit of a rapport before 'getting down to it.' Her performance of the exam was perfunctory, at best, and apparently a bit rough as her exam caused my cervix to bleeding, a first in my experience. She swabbed this with a cauterizing agent and was done.
    She then proceeded to ask if I had any concerns or questions, to which I responded with one. It was quickly 'answered' with a prescription, which I questioned, and she replied that it was nothing to be concerned about as it was a usual and customary low-dose estrogen for vaginal dryness which she regularly prescribed and headed out the door! As someone who had never used estrogen, this was not an acceptable response.
    This practice in an in-network provider under my insurance, which covers my yearly well-woman exams 100%. After receipt of a bill for $25 over and above the yearly exam fee (which my insurance company indicated was an additional charge from the doctor), I contacted the billing office and was told that their exams include ONLY the physical exam (breast and vaginal) and pap smears. Any question or discussion with the doctor is an additional charge. Never in my adult life have I ever had to pay out-of-pocket for additional charges resulting from an ob/gyn exam. I find this practice of additional charging beyond what is allowed under an insurance contract the physician CHOOSES to accept to be unacceptable and will neither return to this practice nor recommend them. (The practice is in receipt of a letter indicating same, as well as informing them of my Angie's List review and rating.)

    I saw Dr. Bell and was told to have an ultrasound done to evaluate some abdominal pain. I had the ultrasound as well as some bloodwork done. The office sent a postcard stating the bloodwork was fine. I NEVER heard from them regarding the ultrasound results. I assumed everything was fine but then my spouse suggested I should call anyway. So, 3 weeks later I called THEM and asked for the results. 2 days later I get a call from a RECEPTIONIST who proceeds to read me the doctor's notes. The notes state that I need to be seen by a surgeon!! This is gross negligence and completely unprofessional. If I had not followed up my life would be at risk.

    I had been having a sever medical problem for a couple years. I was under Dr. Myers care. he tried a couple of different things, one including a surgical procedure that didn't' help. My condition continued to decline rapidly. 

    I made another appointment with him. He did not even examine me but just spoke to me across his desk, no treatment was offered.
     
    One night I had an episode where I thought I was going to need to call 911, but it passed and I was able to compose myself.  The next day I called Dr. Myers office, told them what happened to me, and how concern for my life I was.  The nurse said she'd get back with me. She did call back to tell me that Dr. Myers prescribed a pill for me, and that I was to come into the office in two weeks. The pill did not help. I went for my appointment, and once again he did not even exam me, I just sat in this office and he spoke to me from across his desk.
     
    I then got a second opinion. That doctor examined me found the source right away, and I was told I needed emergency surgery, I had the surgery, and it took care of everything, I've been completely fine ever since. 

    I feel doctor Myers was negligent with me.
