    ProTech Heating and Cooling
My experience with ProTech was absolutely wonderful. Their tech was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kept me informed throughout my whole system check up. There has never been a time that I have felt deceived or mislead about anything with them. They have also been extremely helpful in answering any of my questions about my unit even after they left the service call. I would 10/10 recommend them to any and all family, friends, and even strangers who are in need of HVAC services.

ATLAS LC, Heating & Air Conditioning
Our A/C system went out after 18 years of working and we contacted Rob Gault with Atlas Heating & A/C since he put our original one in. He came out the same day and temporary got our system working which was a blessing because it was over 90 degress. He gave us some options and we decided to replace the complete unit due to it's age. There was no pressure to buy or add on things not needed. Rob and his crew came out early the next morning as promised and had our complete system installed by early afternoon. They removed all the old parts and left without leaving a mess. It was a nice professional install. Rob is upfront and honest to work with and we would highly recommend him.

    ARS / Rescue Rooter Manassas
Not well. Estimate was given but the company has what they call "flat fee" estimates so no explanation of the estimate. Took more than a week for someone in the company to call me back.... the original install of the system(2.5yrs ago) they never had the courtesy to aid in the warranty app which meant the existing warranty was cut in half by Carrier. Maybe its just the Manassas office but the service was a total let-down. (and their estimate was 20% higher than 2 other competitors).

    McCrae Heating
Technician, Dennis, had a very intensive check list. Explained everything to me and my husband, sometimes twice. Very courteous, neat, and precise. Would definitely use him again. he took pictures and emailed me the very next day of my warranty information etc.

    Fire & Ice HVAC, Inc.
The team at Fire and Ice did a great job replacing my HVAC systems. From consultation to installation the process went very smooth. Kal Davis was very easy to work with and explained my options and what would work for my budget. The install team of Jose' and Andrew did a great job and were very efficient and detailed. I would highly recommend this company. Thanks Fire and Ice Team!

McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services of VA
As always, the technician was very thorough and explained what he did and answered all my questions. A year and a half ago, I had McCrea install a complete new HVAC system. I was already impressed with their service, and found their price for the new system to be the best in the area. I highly recommend this company and its employees.

    Appleton Campbell
Appleton Campbell just did a complicated 2-day gas furnace/AC unit installation attached our home. It was, probably, the most professional and well-handled vendor experience I have ever had, particularly with some complications that occurred due to things found after the old system was removed. From the sales process to the pre-project staff to the office staff who alerted me each time the crew was heading to my home, to the on-site crew of Mike W., Danny R. and Jake A., the experience was A+. Even when the one issue was presented, they came up with a solution and I remained confident they would. They were extremely clean and neat, during and after they were done. I did getting three bids for this and they were slightly higher than the others, but I felt more comfortable and frankly, I believe I got my moneys worth as they also had to fabricate and redo a complicated return and vent line, and they also moved the gas line, refrigerant line and other conduits/poles/switches to a more convenient area than with my prior (similar but older) system. In short, I felt like the value was there. They also included a Home Savings Agreement for one year and left me with a consolidated notebook of all relevant documents. Cheapest is not always better, and with all they did, the pricing was very, very close. I've known AC for years in the community, but only used them on a couple of occasions. I've become a huge fan and will use them again (I have other systems!).

    C. B. Lucas Air Conditioning Heating and Plumbing
We paid $3,600 to C. B. Lucas and the problem was not fixed. They came on 7 Jul and serviced one of the air conditioning units, and recommended other parts to be changed. On 3 Aug, they changed the Air Handler in the same unit they worked previously for another $2,800. However, on 17 Sep (a little over a month), the same unit ran out of refrigerant. The times that I called C. B Lucas, the lady who answered the phone made fun of my limited knowledge about air conditioning. C. B. Lucas forgot to tell me that it was going to take 15 hours to change the Air Handler (they told us when we asked why it was taking so long). They also did not tell me ahead of time that they had to break the ceiling in my house to be able to install the Air Handler until they were at home ready to install. On 17 Sep, I decided to call a differ company to fix the air conditioning as I could not trust them to do the work. I will not use them again nor recommend them for any kind of air conditioning work.

    McCarthy Services
Sales person was great. After intsall completed looked outside and unit was mounted to original stand that did not fit new unit and found that the unit wasn't attached in any way. Called sales person who took care of it and had them come back and install new base. Despite this, the following year asked them to come in and quote to replace my other HVAC. Original sales person had left but they schedules someone to come out but they never showed or called. I was ready to write a check and they blew it. Then time came for my seasonal service that was thrown in with the first unit that was replaced. They called to schedule but then the tech never showed and they never called. After a week I called and rescheduled the service and this time received a call that day that the tech was in route.. but again never showed. I am not waiting for the third time. Once the complimentary term is over I'll be looking for a replacement company. UPDATE 9-13-17 McCarthy did finally show and do their maintenance inspection but it was very quick. Today only 2 weeks later we turned on our a/c for the first time in a few days (it was off due to cooler weather) and the house wouldn't cool down. I noticed no airflow from the vents so I called another company to come take a look. I mentioned a company had done a service check on it a few weeks before but they noticed none of the screws seems to have been opened in some time because of dirt buildup. They also saw water issues and after opening up the coil area there was a lot of ice, dirt and mold residue that didn't just appear in the past 2 weeks. It was obvious the guy didn't look at anything while he was here. The tech that was here today mentioned that McCarthy was purchased since I bought my upstairs unit from them and likely the reason for the poor customer service and quality of service since that original purchase.

I don't know what the cost was. We have five different units. It's on a service contract. I can't remember how much we paid overall. They are pretty expensive. I think they are pretty professional. Everything that is done is computerized. They wear uniforms. They wear booties. They keep the staff, it's usually the same people. The workers were pretty good. They have several of them. They usually send the same one.
