    Golden Rule Builders
I thought they were excellent. They were here on time, professional and did the work quickly. They were prompt. They worked with me on the painting. They were nice and the guys were ok. I made a DVD of the project for them. I want to have them do some more work but, they are very busy.

B & L did an outstanding job.  All columns were carefully set, perfectly plumb, and look terrific.  We were a bit concerned with doing this project because the porch is on 8-foot columns and the siding and roof trusses are tied into the house.  It was a high-risk project.  Any failure of temporary supports would be catastrophic to the house.
We were in the house when the work was done, and other than some minor vibrations, it went extremely smoothly.  No damage, no change in elevation of the porch.  Phew!
Finally, Mike did a great job of listening to what we wanted.  We wanted the steel to end above grade to avoid rust over time, so they encased it in concrete above the existing footers, and extended the concrete column using sono tubes exactly 2" above grade so that the project would look great and last "forever".
The project came in UNDER estimate, and we were happily surprised.
The crew was great, took care of the job site, and caused minimal damage to the adjacent area.  We couldn't be happier.

    Picture Perfect Home Improvements LLC
I explained before Adam came out what I needed how the project would be paid for and that I needed to see pictures and have a quote. When he arrived he had no examples of work. He kept saying he would have to see, wasn't sure where to purchase the fixtures, I would have to do all that. I was honest prior to his coming what I needed and he said they could work with the Government Grant program. But he really had no clue how to remodel a bathroom to be ADA approved specs let alone a VA Program Grant. I sent him pictures of nice roll in showers and an example of a walk in bathtub. I had the VA rep speak to him explain everything. He never provided any real drawings or pictures and would not work with the VA approved designer. He was just wanting money up front for work I had no clue he could do. Was really very un happy and he wasted 2 weeks of my time. Now I am starting all over again. When you have a ALS you don?t need any more delays on these projects my husband is very ill and I didn't appreciate the lack of professional behavior.

Steve talked a great talk initially. He told us he takes great pride in his work and keeps work area clean. His work is far from something that one would or should take pride in. I believe the quality went downhill since the job took a bit more time and effort then he had intended. That, however, is no excuse to do a shoddy job and leave some aspects of the job unfinished with a promise to return. He never returned or returned our calls, knowing he had left work undone and that we had another project we wanted completed. Some specifics on work quality.... He did not buy any of the right trim or molding (it did not match existing trim/molding in size and or finish) but he used them to "finish" the job anyway. The baseboards he installed did not match in size or style and he nailed some in crooked because they were too small. Overall, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! Thankfully, my husband is handy and was able to fix many of the issues but it has only cost us more money and time we didn't want to spend doing it ourselves!

Guy took the time to discuss her needs as well as our budget. His accounting is very clear, you will see where every dime goes into your project, there will be no surprise accounting. Due to some unforeseen quirks about the structure we did go over budget but he showed us the problems that needed to be addressed and so we were prepared for the extra expense when it came time to settle up. We were very impressed with Guy and his workmanship and will use his services again.

Fantastic!!!  VERY professional, clean, courteous.  We love our new room and can't praise Golden Rule enough.  We'll be using them again this spring to remodel our media room.
