Fence Company reviews in Warrenton

The project was done professionally and quickly. The owner was responsive to our needs and guided the process. The fence looks beautiful and care was taken as if it was being built at his own house. I highly recommend this company for fences, and also for any outdoor building project. I will definitely hire them again.

    Lions Fence
Went well overall, had a small problem understanding the guys putting up the fence. Due to that, the gate was too high and my dog could get out. Called the owner twice to rectify the problem but my calls were never returned.

    All American Fences
The installers showed up as scheduled on the morning of my installation appointment. We communicated and verified where the fence was to be installed and the gate locations. All in all, I am very pleased. A very professional job, they cleaned up after themselves and were gone by 6:30PM. I would highly recommend.

    Mountain Fence
The owner met me at the predetermined time as discussed and was professional. We walked the property and he described what work he felt needed to be done. When he was leaving he said that he would call me back with an estimate, I asked him if it would be easier over email and he said no. Three weeks later I still have not received a call from him with the estimate.

    MC Fence
MC Fence Manager, Jeff Gardner, is a pleasure to work with. He is always prompt, courteous and extremely professional. He did a great job in explaining my options. The work crew arrived promptly on the scheduled time. Crew chief Jose and his men also were very polite and professional. They worked very efficiently and did an excellent job. Highly recommend MC Fence.

    Builders Fence Co
This company is fantastic.  I got 5 estimates all but one was from Angies List and Builders gave me a great deal and their reputation is impeccable and I checked them out on BBB site and also I verified their license with the state and ensured they didn't have any claims against them.  It all came down to 2 bids, Builders and a competitor.  Both were the same price but the competitor could not match the outstanding reputation that Builders Fence has.  And that is why we went with Builders and I'm so glad we did.
The crew showed up on time (actually a touch early), they immediately went to work and continued working until the job was complete.  It was a large job and we were unsure if they could finish in a day but they did and they did it without sacrificing quality.  The crew was amazing, they hand dug all of the post holes and there were a lot of post holes.  I was very impressed.  The crew was very nice and personable.  I could not be happier with the job they did.  The estimator Jeff was VERY professional and very nice.  Many of the other bids that I got, the estimator was not nearly as professional.  One of the other bidders wouldn't even put the bid in writing, needless to say he was immediately eliminated.  Builders gave me a complete written estimate with a drawing, all material types were listed including the type of nails to be used.  The complete dimensions of the fence and gates were listed on th estimate.  Outstanding.
I strongly suggest that if you are looking for fencing, you call Builders Fence.  I am very picky and I try to check any contractor I hire and I could not be happier with this company, they lived up to their reputation and then some.

    Artistic Decking LLC
He estimated that the job would take 3-4 weeks and it actually took over 5 months. Brandon had frequent medical and personal "emergencies." In the beginning we were patient and understanding, but by the end we were beyond exasperated. Brandon abandoned the job prior to the final inspection, which it failed. The inspector informed us that he never submitted the plans for the screened in porch, only the deck. He is a licensed contractor and a basic omission such as this had to be intentional. Even I know that the plans submitted must match what was built. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, he remained unresponsive to our emails, texts, and phone calls asking him to submit the required plans. We finally went to the county and asked for their help. We also hired a handyman to add the requisite continuous hand rails on the steps so it would be compliant with code. This same handyman informed us that the gutters were put on backward which explains the contstant leaking. Brandon was extremely unprofessional with his intention to deliver what was promised and paid for. Extremely unreliable with communication. I am beyond disappointed with him and would highly discourage ANYONE from ever hiring him for anything. His workmanship was excellent but the hardship he put us through was not worth it. We will be pursuing legal action against him.

    Beitzell Fence Co
I asked to install a fence to replace an existing fence in our yard.  The task was very simple.  I asked them to install the exact same fence and the exact same size.  They were prompt in coming to give an estimate and to install the fence.  As soon as the workers finished, they asked for the second half of the payment right then and there.  I felt like I didn't have time to even inspect their work because they were so eager to get a check.  After they left, my daughter and I spent about an hour cleaning up the mess they left behind.  We have to sweep mud/dirt off the driveway and evened out piles of dirt they left behind in the yard.  I do understand that installing a fence is a dirty job, but one would think that the workers would clean up (at least make an attempt to clean).
Unfortunately, the real trouble began when I realized that half of the fence posts used did not match the other half of the fence posts.  Some posts had a pointy top and some had tops that were cut straight across.  I called Beitzel to let them know that the fence was installed improperly and was told someone would call me back.  No one did.  I called back and spoke to Karen (the owner).  I told her the problem and she said she would order new posts and have someone come out to replace them so they would all match.  A week later, still no call back to schedule the repair work.  I called Karen back again.  I had to go over the details with her again.  Clearly she had not ordered any posts or had even begun to remedy the problem.  She said she would get everything ordered and would call me back.  Again, she never called and I had to call her back.  Finally, she scheduled the repair.  I arrived to my home when the workers were getting ready to leave.  They said they had fixed the fence.  Not true!!!   Instead of replacing all the pointy posts with ones that are straight across on the top, they had cut all the pointy posts to be straight across on the top.  Now, all the cut posts were shorter than the other posts.  I asked the workers not to leave and I called Karen.  She said they didn't have enough posts on the truck to replace them all so she told them to cut the posts.  She didn't think it was a big deal that half the fence posts were now shorter than the other half.  I told her it did matter.  The workers replaced the some of the "cut" posts with ones they had on their truck and I was told they would return the following week to replace the rest.  They have never come back.  I am frankly tired of dealing with them and have not called Karen again to follow up.
Karen is VERY disrespectful and I regret ever doing business with them.  PLEASE be very careful when dealing with this company.

    S&S Landscape And Water Solutions
Fellow Angie's List members may believe this review is just too good to be true, but I assure you, S&S Landscape and Water Solutions is the only landscaper I'll recommend/use going forward. Justin and his skilled crew took on a very big project, on short notice, and made the process as painless and convenient as possible.
I recently purchased a home with a very old and non-functional in ground pool. I had plans to restore the pool to its former glory, but as a first time home buyer, cost was a major issue. One day I arrive home from work to a notice from the town inspector saying my home was in violation of several safety codes: the pool was a hazard and the old chain link fence no longer meets safety codes. I was given 14 days to remedy the situation. I called a highly rated landscaper on Angie's List (Manzano Landscaping) to provide a quote. On the day they promised to provide the estimate, Manzano no called, no showed to the appointment (I've since given them an F). In a bind, I called Justin at S&S Landscaping and Water Solutions. He drove from Stafford to Warrenton same day and provided 3 separate quotes: a bare minimum to meet code, an additional quote for tree removal and a comprehensive quote for the entire project. Justin asked tons of questions to make sure what I wanted was done to my satisfaction. Once the price was agreed upon, I barely had to do anything else.
I'm an extremely busy person, so convenience and trust mean a lot to me. I wasn't able to take time off of work and doing so is extremely inconvenient, as I work over 50 miles away. Justin called me just about every day to update me on what was happening with the project. From the very beginning, there were minor hiccups, like snow in late March, delays with the town approving a demolition permit and the town not allowing work on the weekend. This didn't slow down Justin's team in the least and it inconvenienced me even even less.. They quickly found workarounds to get parts of the project done and worked around my schedule to do so.
Justin was the one that suggested re-using the paver stone around the pool. I had a cement sidewalk that lead from the driveway to the pool area in the back, with a few stairs leading down from the top of the driveway. The sidewalk didn't connect to my deck. All I had was a couple of stepping stones between the dirt and the sidewalk. Justin suggested removing the stairs and sidewalk, to rebuild a better walkway with the pool pavers. He leveled out the ground at the end of the driveway, so stairs were no longer needed and connected the sidewalk to the deck. I now have one continuous and consistent walkway. At the end of the walkway, he extended the pavers to build a patio for chair and tables in the future. I would have never thought of this. Upon request, Justin's team stacked the remaining pavers on a pallet at the end of the driveway for me to use towards a future project.
With a newly seeded backyard about the size of a 1/3 an acre and my ignorance as to when to water/cut the new yard, I asked Justin for his expertise. He provided a detailed plan of exactly what to do to bring the yard into its own. His team installed a silt fence at the bottom of the yard to prevent runoff and complaints from my neighbors. Justin said he would check in on the project in about 30 days to make sure the seed germinated properly and remove the silt fence. (I'll update this post when this happens to inform other members of Justin's follow through and quality of yard)
S&S Landscaping and Water Solutions is an up and comer in the landscaping World. Like newly budding businesses, S&S truly cares and depends on customers like us to survive. Their outfit is small, but their vision is big. Don't waste your time on big business landscapers. If you're reading this review in search of a quality landscaper, stop your research right now and give Justin a call. I can't stress this enough. I wish I could provide photographic evidence of the job, it's that good. The quality and craftsmanship of the work can't be denied. It felt like my home was taken care of like Justin and his team would take care of their own homes. That's all I can ask for as a consumer. Justin has a great business model. If you want to be treated like an individual, instead of a payday, I highly highly recommend calling S&S Landscaping.

    Beitzell Fence Co
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!  They use inferior materials and are un-responsive when there are issues.  Beitzell fence installed a split-rail fence in our backyard back in 2005.  Within 3 years, the posts were leaning with some even splitting off so that the only thing holding them up from falling to the ground was the  mesh wire connected all around to keep our dog in the yard.  We called them numerous times to come and repair the posts.  Finally, someone came to inspect the fence and told us that there were some bad posts and that they had received word from the manufacturer that they would provide replacements as they were deemed to be defective.  Even though it was not my fault that defective materials were used, Beitzell would only do the repairs if I paid for the labor of having the posts replaced.  Since the new posts were being provided by the manufacturer, Beitzell actually ended up making money on the repairs.  Also, I indicated that in addition to the 8 posts that had split off and were completely broke, that there were at least 8 others that were loose and in need of repair.  Beitzell would not replace those.  Fast forward a few years and now around 10 other posts have split and are practically laying on the ground.  I can't even close my gate because I have to prop it open to keep the section of fence from laying on the ground.  It's been fun chasing our dog around the neighborhood.  Not to mention that fact that the falling posts are a safety hazard to the numerous children who play in my yard and adjacent ones.  Beitzell has been completely un-responsive to any of my emails other than to provide me a quote of $660 to replace 8 more posts (covering the materials and labor).  These are the same posts that they admitted were defective earlier and that I had wanted replaced.  I've sent numerous emails stating that I would still pay labor (which frankly I shouldn't have to), but would not pay to replace the bad posts when they shouldn't have been used in the first place, or at least should have been replaced with the earlier posts that were damaged.  This company is rotten, and I've been dealing with the family who owns it directly, and not just some indifferent salesman, so it goes all the way to the top.  Stay clear of these guys.
