Dermatology reviews in Warrenton

Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center

Dr. Caballero diagnosed cheilitis. Diagnosis was correct, but he said it was due to aging and wrinkles forming around my mouth and suggested botox treatments!  I do not have significant wrinkles.

He gave me a prescription cream that would only help temporarily and the condition kept returning.  I did my own research and got an inexpensive tea tree oil product which soon eliminated the problem.

The office was nice but not over-the-top, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Previously have been a patient at Finkle and Caballero in Warrenton. They were cold and impersonal. Finkle spoke into his tape recorder more than he spoke to me. And, Caballero refused to remove anything that was worrisome or painful to me, but said I could go to his spa (outside my health coverage) if I wanted them removed. BUT, at Prince William Dermatology it was like going to a regular doctor who is willing to listen to the patient and give appropriate treatment. At PW Dermatology I was seen by one of two P.A.'s (Laura) who was friendly and business-like. She took time to evaluate and explain what she was seeing. She removed what I asked to have removed because they were sore or worrisome, and also took off several other things that were pre-cancer. Overall, it was just like going to a medical practice as opposed to my previous two experiences. I Highly recommend Prince William Dermatology.

    Dr. Lawrence J Finkel
This was my first time going to Dr. Finkel and my visit went great.
Dr. Finkel was on time and I was in and out w/in 20 minutes.
I had two moles I wanted to get removed and he snipped them right off and sent them up to be tested.
Dr. Finkel and his staff are very friendly.
    I would definitely go back.

I went in to be seen for burning, dry facial and neck skin. The nurse practitioner did not focus at all on what I was saying. She treated me for a sun allergy when I had repetedly told her that I had not gotten sun on my face. I went back a second time after the initial treatment did not work at all, and was diagnosed with something completely different. During both appointments I felt as if what I was saying was being ignored and I was being rushed after waiting a significant amount of time to see the practitioner. There were also multiple miscommunications of appointment time and place with them scheduling me at their other location and with then giving me the wrong appointment time. I asked to schedule my next follow up appointment with the doctor instead of the nurse practitioner but even as an established patient they could not get me in with her for over 5 weeks. I was completely disappointed with this office and will not go back.

I called for an appointment and was greeted by a friendly and informative person. When I arrived the office staff was very nice and the office environment was good. I had to wait a little bit but not excessive. The doctor was great answered all my questions and did a treatment to remove the mole I was concerned about.

I like them. They seem very knowledgeable and found some skin problems with me and I have been able to get those fixed.
