    Sears Appliance Repair
    The initial fix was for my stand-alone ice maker purchased from Sears. The pump had stopped, and I had to have a technician come to verify that the pump was the problem, so the part had to be ordered - which took 7 business days, then the technician came back to install the pump. While in the house, I was convinced that I should have my clothes dryer serviced. I agreed and the technician took my dryer apart and vacuumed it. When he put it back together it worked for a few minutes. Two days later, the dryer will not work at all. It appears that there is something wrong electrically with the unit as nothing happens. So - I have attempted to get Sears back to fix what they broke. Initially I was told that someone would be out to my house today by 5:00PM. I called to see what was happening at 4:45, just to be told that the technician was delayed and would arrive within 30 minutes. This time came and went and when I called back they stated that they would arrive by 7:00PM. At 8:30 PM I called again only to find out that they would not be coming today, and that the earliest would be two days. This is a totally unacceptable situation, and I am now having to get someone else to fix the broken unit.

    Technician was good but no repair required. Found out that an object was keeping the door from closing tightly and air was leaking in once the door seal loosened. So we should have noticed this ourselves and saved $125 but we were glad it was nothing serious and easily remedied. We have used Sears appliance repair before and they have always been professional and resolved any issues we had.

    Very good experience. I called on a Saturday and was surprised they picked up right away. The woman on the phone asked all the right questions so the repair man would have the information he needed before he arrived. He came (on time and called 30 minutes ahead as promised) diagnosed the problem, had the part needed to fix it, and was done in less than an hour (no padding charging for a second service call, like we've experienced with other companies). He also took a few extra minutes to teach me how to do some basic maintenance on the machine to keep it running well. Now my washer works better than in has in years.

     The technician said that since the product was manufactured overseas, there may be a delay in ordering the part.  After the technician left I was able to find the part on the internet and could have had the part delivered in less than a week.  After not hearing from Able Appliance Co for two weeks we called to find out the status of the order.  We were told that the technician would contact us.  A week later, after no call from the technician, we called Able Appliance Company for an update and were once again told the technician would contact us.  On 9/30 I contacted the company again and was told that if I was able to order the part they would install it for an additional $150 over the $69 we paid for the original call.  When I told the individual who took my call that that was unsatisfactory and that I intended to give Able an unsatisfactory review he offered to refund my $69.  I will NEVER use this company again.

    Tog Dog provided excellent service over a two day period. They did a leak detection, sealed a palladium window area, removed water damaged wood and storm damaged wood and conducted some mold removal.  The owner of the company was also on site to confirm what work needed to be done. They prioritized the  needs so that we could decide what we wanted worked on now, and later.
    The men were careful to put up sheeting to protect the rest of the house and bagged up all materials for easy disposal.
    The price was fair and the work was done professionally.  They kept me informed every step of the way and worked with my insureance company on the claim.
    I would use them again and highly recommend them.

    Our Whirlpool Gold refrigerator was not cooling properly. (I now see on the internet there seems to be a problem with Whirlpool).
    Anyway, the repairman was prompt, courteous, and tried all sorts of things to check out the problem. We pointed out a problem with the bottom hinge of the door. Yep, that was the problem. He had never seen a problem like that before. The door wasn't closing properly and wasn't making a proper seal. The refrigerator was sucking warm humid air from the kitchen into the unit and causing it to freeze up.
    He charged us $152 and said he'd call back and have to come back to fix the hinge. No one called. We waiting thinking he was doing research. A week later the door fell completely off of the refrigerator onto my wife as she opened the door to get a drink.
    How these guys get an and quot;Aand quot; rating and come up 1st on Angie's list puzzles me. I read all their reviews and the reviews are all over the place. Good, bad, and ugly.
    I hope there's an and quot;Aand quot; Team out there in the Gainesville area but it's not RS Meyers. More like average. More like hit and miss.

    We had moved and the movers evidently didn't lock down our washer when they moved it.   Since it was moved it had a very loud bang and shook the house.     Faced with replacing it or fixing it, I chose fixing it.
    Kim was very nice when I called on Monday and we scheduled for Tuesday morning between 7:30 and 8:30.   John showed up at 7:30 and was very nice, my dog really liked him.  :)     He quickly found that a vent tube in the back of the washer had come dislodged and the vent cover was missing.     He put the vent tube back and said he would check on getting the vent cover.
    I chose to replace the vent cover myself since it was a simple fix, but if I ever need appliance repair service again I won't hesitate to call Top Notch.

    Checked oven for improper operation - confirmed that control circuit  board was not controlling broil element after pre-heat.
    Broil element continued to be active after oven reached bake preset temperature.
    Had replacement circuit board with him.  Board replaced and oven checked and now correctly operational.
    Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.  Great family business.
    Will definitely recommend Top Notch Appliance Service .to others.
